Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 4/20

MEET STATS: 114 - 309 / $598.70 (-$19.30)
BEST BETS: 15 - 31 / $49.60 (-$12.40)
Best Bet: TOWN GOSSIP (6th)
Spot Play: I'M BENICIO A (7th)
Race 1: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(3) THE COOKIE MONSTER was a decent second upon arrival to a sharp rival and he should take the next logical step tonight with that race under his belt. (8) SOCRATES BLUE CHIP ships down from Canada to join the Cory Stratton barn and I suspect he'll be live here, even from post eight. (1) SARANAC BLUE CHIP was in a bit tough in the Weiss series over at Pocono; prior races up at Saratoga indicate that he'll fit well here.

Race 2: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(1) GENIUS MAN moves back to age-restricted company off two razor-sharp scores and he could currently be good enough to topple the streaking (4) GALANTE A. The latter goes for four straight and he's looked good from on and off the pace. (2) MISTER REBBILY A was home in :27 3/5 last week to just miss; he faces tougher here but deserves respect.

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) CAMPORA N got some post relief last out and showed up with a more aggressive effort; Vallee-trained veteran fits well at this basement level and should offer a bit of value. (2) MISTER SPOT A was hung to dry last week but now he drops and moves all the way inside; he's the one to beat but will also be overbet. (5) TITANIUM N returns from vacation and was racing well at this level towards the end of last year.
Race 4: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) ROCK LIGHTS charged home from nowhere two back to just miss and he followed that up with a steady effort versus $40K claimers last week; recent addition to the Jenn Bongiorno barn seems ready to score. (5) EGOMANIA moves to the Godinez barn off the claim and could perk up. (2) MACH IT SO is a shell of his former self but he is coming off a recent win and he could sit close up here and land a share.
Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) ON THE VIRG has been facing tougher in all recent with just limited success but this barn usually does well with their stock dropping down the conditioned ladder. (4) MACHING TIME debuted for Garcia-Herrera off the claim and tired chasing fast fractions; this barn still deserves respect. (3) SPORTS BETTOR comes out of that same race and did hold for a board spot; Brennan seems to get along well with him.
Race 6: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(2) TOWN GOSSIP was a NYSS finalist as a two-year-old finishing second in that event and he recently made his seasonal debut at Philly and went well; Jenn Bongiorno trainee looks pretty solid here. (4) ROLLING WITH SAM moves in a couple of spots and the Burke trainee figures to be more involved. (3) SHINY BLACK BEAMER had some success as a freshman on the Ohio fair circuit and that start last week at Freehold wasn't bad; consider underneath.
Race 7: NW10100 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) I’M BENICIO A always looked to have ability but he's really upped his game once a catch-driver took over; he faces some good ones in here but may be up to the task. (2) SILAS SEELSTER did have hot numbers to chase last week but he looked good brushing and crushing; Devita trainee should go well again. (1) SHADOW CAT took some money from the eight hole last week but was invisible the entire race; move all the way inside makes him a logical contender.
Race 8: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(1) QUAGMIRE BLUE CHIP saw his win streak come to a halt when hiked up in class but he faces a bit softer here and the rapidly-improving 5-year-old deserves serious respect. (4) SUMTHINBOUTIM is a major speed threat and that early foot can give the DiDomenico trainee a tactical advantage. (2) IDEAL ARTILLERY was brutalized in his seasonal debut but came from off the pace last week and gamely wore them down; he's drawn well here and is obviously in with a legitimate chance.

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts
(6) CAVIART LUCA takes a needed drop in class and if he's not used too hard entering contention the classy millionaire can take this. (2) FLYING FINN N is a bit inconsistent but he can be right there with a smooth trip. (4) RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN N was left to his own devices last week and took the field wire-to-wire in a nice wakeup effort. It certainly wouldn't shock me to see this guy repeat.
Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) HOT DEUCE flashed speed in his last two as he races himself back into shape and the freelegged pacer looks to have found the winning spot. (7) KEYSTONE PHOENIX was uninvolved last week but finished with pace; he can threaten if put in play, and should be a good price. (1) MOTIVE HANOVER went evenly last out and draws best; this barn had some live starters last week.
