Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX finished very close up in her last two and we saw the same thing with this veteran pacer towards the end of last year where she floundered for months and suddenly got hot. Maybe history is repeating itself. (6) LINE EM UP has won three in a row versus similar by a head, head and nose. Assuming she has to work harder tonight from the outside post she may come up a bit short this time. (1) SEZANA N was a winner at this level four back with Brennan driving.

Race 2: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH gets a driver change to Bartlett after a long run with Holland at the controls, and the veteran jogged the last time he was in this low. Big chance to resume winning ways tonight. (2) CAPTAIN SLEAZE was Holland's choice and he gets major post relief tonight. Considering he was a winner from the eight hole two back after firing from the gate he figures to be part of the early action from this spot. (4) SILENT SPLENDOR was never involved in his last two but he was outside facing better; this level should suit him better.

Race 3: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(6) LAYTON HANOVER disappointed last week at odds-on in his seasonal debut, as he had to rally from off the pace in what was a sizzling back half, so he never got close. More aggressive handling tonight from Kakaley can get it done. (4) HUNTANOVER finished well in 4YO debut, then gave way on the front end in his second try. Cullipher trainee should still be respected. (3) TWIN B JAMMER was a winner at The Big M in his first start after arriving from Canada to join the Burke barn, but he broke leaving in his Yonkers debut then was going nowhere from trailing position last week. Tough to gauge what he brings to the table tonight, so only use if he's a healthy price.
Race 4: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) JUDDY DOUGLAS A has been stuck outside while facing better in his last three starts, so the class relief and move all the way inside should make this Travis Alexander trainee a major presence tonight. Note that he jogged from a similar spot a couple of months ago. (2) DIAMONDBEACH dropped from the Borgata into a more reasonable spot last week but he was unable to polish it off. These two look like they will be controlling it up front. (5) THRASHER moves from $50K claimers to this conditioned class and the Garcia-Herrera trainee has been going well. Definitely a closing threat.
Race 5: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(8) SAULSBROOK BOOMER raced reasonably well last week in his Yonkers debut and while he is stuck all the way outside and Bartlett bailed he meets a tough field to figure with unproven types, some making their 3YO debuts. 1 for 31 lifetime isn't inspiring but he's hit the board in almost half of those races. (1) ITS A ME MARIO makes his seasonal debut off a nice winning qualifier for Shane Tritton and with Bartlett driving he figures to be overbet. (6) CAPTAIN Q invades from Canada off a winning race over the half-mile but this barn rarely makes an impression with their stock; use underneath.
Race 6: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(4) HEART OF DIXIE is most successful from off the pace which isn't necessarily the recipe for success at Yonkers but he just looks best here. (6) RB does have the benefit of early speed and he's the one most likely to topple the top choice. (1) TWO FACED steps up to face NW6 off a nice win and is handicapped inside; further improvement makes him a serious player. Lightly-raced 4YO is 10 for 10 in the money lifetime.
Race 7: NW10681 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) ALEX TYE has been a very consistent sort for an extended period of time and is more than capable here with a good trip. (5) STATE SENATOR was sent to the front last week and blew away cheaper; he steps up a notch but should be a contender again despite losing Bartlett to #6. (6) MOONLIGHT SHADOW hasn't done much for these connections since being claimed for $50K but this is the softest field he's seen in some time.
Race 8: NW23491 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) RAUKAPUKA RULER N seems to have found the fountain of youth since moving to the Bongiorno barn and the veteran will be forwardly placed again from this decent post. (7) PRETTY HANDSOME may be ignored by the wagering public from the worst post but he's been very sharp in his last few for a live barn. (2) SAN DOMINO A gave way pretty badly in his local return and the 10YO has definitely seen better days. I'm a bit surprised Burke brought him back from Northfield but he knows better than I do. Off the pace tonight?

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) FEELIN WESTERN has been knocking on the door in his last couple with good runner-up efforts. Stratton should be leading or just off the pace and can get it done tonight. (6) TRENDY TEEN went well in defeat in just his second seasonal start and the Engblom trainee with Bartlett will be prominent throughout. (4) DEETZY doesn't win that often and he does step up now to face a bit better but he has a knack for picking up checks and he can land a share at a price.
Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) SHECANDANCE N lingered near the rear last week and rallied late but could only muster a fourth-place check. With the improved post Bartlett figures to have her in play much earlier and she’s the one to beat in the finale, albeit it at a short price. (2) CORAL BELLA has been solid on the front end recently, with two wins and a couple of narrow defeats. If Holland can rate here again she could be tough to catch, or if she yields to the top choice she'll chase and likely be close at the wire. (3) HEY HEY DBAY had no chance last start but raced very well in prior efforts and this barn has been going well.
