Race 1: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) NUTTINBUTHEBEST had been streaking at the $20K claiming level but that came to a screeching halt last week when she bumped to the $50’s and landed the eight hole. She’s back in a legit spot and should be right in the thick of things. (1) WHATINEEDISAMAN lands the rail coming off a win for top connections and is very logical here. (8) CHUPPAH ON has had plenty of success at the $50K claiming level over the last year or so and now her connections shave her price in half. Last week’s effort was much-improved over the prior debacle so maybe Yannick is inclined to take a shot off the gate.

Race 2: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) LINCOLN’S GIRL N has two close seconds and a win since returning locally for owner/driver Austin Siegelman and he draws another inside post. Import can cut the mile or stalk close-up. (2) CHARMING VIXEN looked a bit lacking in the class department when she was dropped in for $20K but she quickly proved she belongs; Gingras drives again. (4) SHEIKH YABOOTY N was a pocket-rocket winner at odds-on last out but tired on the front end the start prior. She seems a little inconsistent at her projected short price.

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) DIAMONDBEACH hasn’t responded recently but this is a spot where Gingras can take command from the outset or make one quick move to the front and the veteran could prove tough to catch. (2) KIMBLE A took all the money on the dropdown but was a well-beaten third. DiDomenico trainee gets another crack at this level from an inside post hoping to show more this time. (6) FULL HORSE moves from the NW lifetime conditions to this class and Lachance can’t be counted out with these Canadian-based horses.
Race 4: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) MACH N CHEESE has never been the most consistent sort but he’s a legit talent as evidenced by his $500K in the bank; he’s got two big things going for him here: drop in class to a more friendly level, and a move inside to a more favorable post. (4) TWIN B HEART THROB has been second best in four of his last five and he returns to a spot where he can show off some early speed. (6) POINTOMYGRANSON blew away the field last start and looks to repeat for his new barn after the $60K claim. 10YO has been on a huge run over the last few months.
Race 5: NW23161 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) KINGSVILLE wired a similar field last week and basically gets a free ride by being written in to this race; let’s see if he can repeat. (3) SPLASH BROTHER was no match for a tough winner when bumped back to this level and his forward early movement can land him another stalking trip. (4) HAZEVILLE was a good second to the top one in his 2024 debut and can certainly build off that effort. Depending on what #3 does off the gate will likely dictate this one’s trip.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) ITS A ME MARIO is a head shy of being a perfect 3 for 3 to start his 4YO campaign and he fits this class again under the NW also-eligible condition. Bartlett drives again over the Engblom trainee and I don’t see a ton of early speed getting in his way. (1) THE REGULATOR returns locally to a cozy rail spot and was a winner three back when drawn inside; Gingras drives. (6) LAYTON HANOVER makes his third start of the year and does get a touch of post improvement so Kakaley figures to be closer than his prior two. Interesting to see if he takes a flyer off the gate in front of the top choice.
Race 7: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(6) FLIP THE SCRIPT has gotten sharp again and the mare remains at a winning level. If Gingras gets her to the front without too much trouble she’ll be tough to catch. (1) ALWAYS B MIMI was a winner two back at the $25K claiming level and had a tough time of it from the eight hole in her latest. Connections are willing to drop her in price despite racing decently. (3) PRINCESS ARONA gets needed post relief and deserves respect coming from these connections.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SPEED MAN N hasn’t won since five back in January but he’s been facing a bit better since then and was unable to dictate the pace. Tonight Kaklaley can send him to the front and he could prove tough to catch if allowed to rate. (1) GROOVY JOE has speed, class and a much-improved post. Veteran will be a part of the pace scenario and be no worse than the pocket. (5) EVER HOPING A beat a notch easier two back and the Cushing team has had some success with these imports; he seems capable of rallying for a share.
Race 9: 3-6YO Winners 3-5 races or $60K lifetime Pace
This looks like an extremely competitive race with a plenty of sharp and legit talent. (3) HEZ ALLTHE RAGE N was certainly ready to go in his first U.S. start after arriving from Down-Under for the Dilloian, Jr. barn. Brennan is driving again and the lightly-raced import may have even more to offer going forward. (6) VICI had been doing all of his running on or near the front so he showed a new dimension last week by charging home from behind. The Bongiorno-trained gelding has only one blemish on his record this year, when he was forced to pull up with broken equipment. (7) TRAIN STATION is another sharp one but he faces a tall task from the outside post; Bartlett stays with him over the Tritton entrant.
Race 10: 2-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(5) AIN’T NOSTOPN TIME blew away the field in his Engblom debut and a similar effort makes him tough again. (2) SKIFROMTHETOP IR faltered on the front last start so maybe Bartlett will have the import stalking tonight. (3) OLYMPIC BLAZE has hit the board in his last three with strong final-quarter action.

Race 11: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) PURE SILKY has been live in each of her last five starts and last week she was able to rate and go the distance; Lance Hudson trainee can repeat. (1) VIBRANCE is back inside after going well for third in the race that #3 won; obvious player. (2) ONEDERFULBEACH broke leaving in the first turn as the favorite last out and that’s two races in a row where she burned plenty of money; tough to figure how Bartlett will play it tonight.
Race 12: 3-5YO Winners 3-5 races or $60K lifetime Pace
(1) CHIEF CORLEONE has gotten progressively better in each start this year and from the rail draw he seems primed to get over the hump. (6) WRY didn’t seriously threaten upon arrival but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bartlett get much more aggressive this time around. (5) RAYRAY was a game winner last out and that was his third consecutive sub-:27 last quarter.
