Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 3/23

MEET STATS: 87 - 249 / $487.10 (-$10.90)
BEST BETS: 12 - 25 / $41.30 (-$8.70)
Best Bet: PETTYCOAT BUSINESS (6th)
Spot Play: LUCIANO N (1st)
Race 1: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) LUCIANO N has always been a solid front-end type but he actually finished well from off the pace in his last three from tough posts; veteran has plenty of class and seems like a live contender here (at his 10/1 computer-generated morning line). (2) AWESOMENESS returns from Pocono off a win and was Bartlett's logical choice. (6) GHOST DANCE stopped in his last race but qualified back well and had been going well prior to that awful start.

Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) MCMATTERS rallied willingly last out at The Meadowlands and the four-year-old seems like a good fit with this type; driver Mark MacDonald has been going well recently. (2) TIGHT LINES returns to Yonkers looking to recapture some of the form that earned him over $600K. (1) LIMERENCE has speed, draws best and is well-mannered.

Race 3: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(2) BRAZEN BRAZILIAN is a check-earning machine but he hasn't broken through into the win column in quite some time; 4-year-old draws well, has some speed and was Siegelman's choice. (3) GAMBLINGTERROR has been facing more seasoned foes recently with some success; Stafford trainee finds a good spot here. (8) QUAGMIRE BLUE CHIP rolled by to beat similar last week but it will likely be difficult to repeat starting from post eight; use underneath.
Race 4: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MYKINDACHIP is running out of excuses but the veteran is just too tempting to pass on from this spot. (5) PERFECTLY CLOSE avoided trouble and paced home steadily last out; Temming trainee has some class to him and can offer some value here. (2) PATRIOT NATION figures to be a bit tighter in his second return start and he draws well.
Race 5: M Life Rewards Ladies Pacing Series F&M Consolation
(2) PRAY THE ROSARY raced well in the first two legs of this series but was a bit short late; Tirella trainee skipped last week's prelim but that gets her into this consolation and Holland may try taking these a long way on the front end. (6) SOMEBEACHSOMEFRA also missed a chance to make the final after last week's sick scratch and she was right there in her two prior starts; mare is a player here. (4) P L NELLY paced a good back half to be second best last week; she should come away with a nice chunk of the money again.
Race 6: M Life Rewards Ladies Pacing Series F&M Final
(1) PETTYCOAT BUSINESS faltered in round one of this series but quickly got back on track by winning the next two prelims. DiDomenico trainee looked like the one to beat heading into the series and she'll be odds-on to finish it off. (5) PAIGE'S GIRL was a late arrival missing the first leg but made up for lost time by winning her next two; Zeron should have her on the move early hoping for the trip behind the top one. (2) TURNTHEFROWNAROUND is perfect heading to the final and draws inside but she loses her regular pilot to the top choice.
Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ARTFUL WAY hasn't fired in his last few but he was facing better; class relief should help this talented veteran turn things around. (1) NO ORDINARY MAN has been overachieving of late and he can be close up throughout to land a nice share. (5) DENVER SEELSTER was a good second last week to a well-meant winner and Stratton sticks with him for his brother.

Race 8: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(4) GALANTE A hit town two starts back, took plenty of money, was sent to the lead but had to settle for second best. Last week he was taken back and rallied well. Vallee trainee fits well here and should pick up a win sooner rather than later. (1) IM A GIGOLO N earned his way up to NW6 and didn't have the easiest of trips; it should be much smoother sailing tonight. (6) REIGNING DEO didn't fire his best last week; he seems capable of better.
Race 9: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ALBERGO HANOVER has raced well here in the past (when in the Jenn Bongiorno barn) and he returns locally off a nice two-move win at The Meadowlands. Burke trainee seems well-spotted here. (3) ROCK LIGHTS moves to the aforementioned Bongiorno barn looking for a wakeup call; would surprise few if that happened. (5) CHRISTEN ME N is back for his 13-year-old season and that was a nice tightener he had last week at Freehold.
Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) MARK WITHA K went on a big roll last year then tumbled all the way back to the basement; now he's on another good run and he's worth a look at what should be a decent price. (2) BILL HALEY N took some money last week but never fired; he moves back inside and should be heard from. (5) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER drops out of the Borgata into this much easier spot; obvious contender.
