Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 2/8

MEET STATS: 23 - 101 / $124.50 (-$77.50)
BEST BETS: 3 - 9 / $9.60 (-$8.40)
Best Bet: MAKIN SOME NOISE (1st)
Spot Play: WHITE HAIR ROCKS (12th)
Race 1: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(2) MAKIN SOME NOISE is a lightly raced but very talented four-year-old who is 5 for 5 lifetime and won his last four at Northfield by a combined 36 lengths. He moves out east to join the Rob Harmon barn and will give it a shot racing for double the money. (6) BORN A REBEL ships down from Canada and enters the strong Travis Alexander barn; worth considering. (1) HIGH ST CORRIDOR will be in line for a live trip hoping to complete a very chalky exacta behind #2.

Race 2: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(2) LINNYCALLEDFRANKIE was competitive with this type last season and he freshened up nicely with that qualifier at The Meadowlands. He should be a decent price if ready to fire off the bench in this wide-open event. (5) SAULSBROOK HERO had some troubles in NW8 but he drops back down to face a bit softer and he should be moving late. (1) DANCE IT OUT rallied well in his last two from tough outside posts and now he moves all the way inside. Only concern is the missed time coming off a sick scratch.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) WEONA SIZZLER A hasn't been particularly sharp recently but he was facing much better than he sees tonight and the classy veteran should be able to get the job done. (8) MACH DORO A drops out of the same $75K claiming event as the top one and he gave it a big speed try in his second off the layoff but he wilted late; if Dube can get him off the gate in good order he may have a chance. (4) ST LADS BEAT IT was a judges scratch last week but jogged the week prior upon arrival from Canada; we'll see how he stacks up class-wise facing better.
Race 4: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) AMERICAN BOY N has put in three strong efforts this year at the $50K claiming level and now moves to the Alexander barn. Driver Kakaley has options from this spot to work out the winning trip. (1) SOHO LENNON A came up flat from the pocket last week but this super-classy veteran is always a player from inside posts and he's capable of bouncing back. (5) BETTERTHANTHEBEACH returns from Delaware where he recently paid $2.10 and he was 5 for 5 in the money here last year.
Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) SEEUINNASHVILLE A was ready for a more aggressive try in his second start for the Garcia-Herrera barn and he was a decent second after cutting the mile. He'll probably be off the pace tonight looking for a live trip. (1) QUALITY BUD was unlucky to get cancelled the last two times he was entered, and he seemed to be in good spots both times; maybe third time is the charm as he lands the pole position and he figures to be handled aggressively by Stratton. (3) GLACIS was just okay last start for Lachance when plunging from $75K claimers but there were some classy rivals in there.
Race 6: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(4) BRAZEN BRAZILIAN hasn't won in the longest time and is just 3 for 60 lifetime but he does have a bit of speed and is never too far back. There are no standouts in this evenly-matched affair and Bartlett could have him forwardly placed. (3) ARTS ATTITUDE was good two back, just ok last start; he can be considered here as well. (8) OHARE HANOVER beat many of these recently but is stuck in the eight hole.
Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ALOTBETTOR N closed well last week, has plenty of back class and he looks like the one to beat in here, but probably won't offer much value. (2) LACHIE MAGUIRE N never got involved last week against better but was a good second two back at the Meadowlands. Veteran has had plenty of local success in the past. (5) MOHAWK WARRIOR fits with these and could land a share at a price.
Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) SAILBOAT HANOVER was a winner the last time he was at this NW5000 level and he's capable with a decent enough trip. (3) ROLL WITH JR got brave up at Monticello and he returns locally looking to take another. (2) BILBO HANOVER managed to pick up checks in his last two from tough outside spots; post relief helps.
Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) THUNDRA took the money last start and was put on the front end but could not last; I'll give the Travis Alexander trainee another chance. (4) BETABCOOL N drops in for a tag after some good efforts scattered throughout her last dozen or so races; Bartlett gets the drive and she figures to go off at a nice price. (3) TRIZZLE TRAZZLE exits NW8 for this claiming event and she was a nice winner three back; I don't think that low morning-line is justified, however.
Race 10: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(3) ULTIMAROCA is a speedy 4-year-old from Burke who should be able to make the front rather easily. If Brannan can rate kindly he'll be tough to beat. (4) COALITION HANOVER finally put things together with last week's decisive score where he blew away NW6. Bongiorno trainee can certainly repeat. (2) CAPTIVATE HANOVER should be close up and can hold for a piece.

Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MIKE'S Z TAM has clearly come up short in the late stages in his three January races but he faces much softer tonight. (1) FOO FIGHTER N gets major post relief which makes him an obvious contender. (4) CONBOYVILLE used ground-saving trips to finish third in his last two; perhaps again.
Race 12: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) WHITE HAIR ROCKS changed trainers before last week's start going to the Ruiz barn and he blew away the field for his first win in forever; I think he's sharp enough to come right back for another. (4) PAT STANLEY N dropped and popped last out for the Stratton brothers; import can build off that effort. (2) THE WILD CARD is much-improved in his last couple and he draws into a live spot.
