Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 2/7

2023 MEET STATS: 26 - 60 / $122.50 (+$2.50)
BEST BETS: 5 - 6 / $14.40 (+$2.40)
Best Bet: WALKINSHAW N (2nd)
Spot Play: ROCKIN WITHELVIS A (8th)
Race 1: 2-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(6) TWO FACED raced very well upon arrival from Canada and with the addition of Lasix. Logic would dictate that the Andrew Harris trainee will be even stronger tonight. Only downside is drawing outside of his main rivals but that helps the price. (5) COALFORD BET ALINE has also finished well in his two U.S. starts. Do we see some early speed tonight? (3) THORN TOAD gets needed post relief and clearly looks best of the rest; Bartlett gets the drive.

Race 2: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) WALKINSHAW N was used hard in the early stages while facing better last week and then was jammed in the length of the stretch. Classy veteran drops, adds Kakaley and will be very tough to deny. (1) KERFORD ROAD A was game in defeat last out, now moves inside and looks to complete a chalky number. (7) TWIN B DELUXE wired the field from the eight hole in his local return and Bartlett figures to be forwardly placed again.

Race 3: 3-6YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(7) IMA HAPPY FELLA GB breezed in his last two starts and gets another crack at the NW4 level. If he's not used too hard in the early stages overcoming the outside draw he'll triple up. (3) COMET CRUSADER N was a no-match third best to the top one last week; he draws decently again and seems capable of improving a notch. (1) LOU'S BEACH has been much-improved in three starts since moving to the Burke barn and he figures to be a big part of the action from the rail.
Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) AMERICAN BOY N has fallen on some hard times of late but I believe the now 12-year-old still has some life left in those legs and he simply needs a better trip to turn things around. (6) GARDY'S LEGACY A returns locally now in the Doug Dilloian, Jr. barn and he finished very willingly in that recent qualifier. Can he make an impact here right off the bench? (4) B LIKE CRUISER was defeated last week as the favorite but it was a good bounce-back effort after recently finishing in distress.
Race 5: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) MILLWOOD BONNIE N returns from a brief two-start visit in Ohio and she comes back looking for two straight. Connections move her to the red-hot Bako barn and she picks up Gingras while drawing well. (5) BALFAST N hasn't won in quite some time but she always gives an honest effort. (1) PAIGE'S GIRL moves inside and we'll see how aggressive Braxton Boyd is in trying to secure position.
Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(8) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK has been facing better in all recent and he has the early speed to blast away from the eight hole. If he's live on the board i say use him! (2) WITCHITA LINEMAN drops out of claimers and also gets to face softer; before last week's miscue the Alexander trainee was third best in his prior three. (1) L DEES JACK LOPEZ changes hands and is now in the Erv Miller barn (from Tritton) and Marcus drives. He should fit well here but he has missed a bit of time, however.
Race 7: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SARANAC BLUE CHIP has turned things around in his last couple with solid efforts in defeat and while he faces some legit talent in here he draws well enough and should offer a fair price. (2) SAVE ME A DANCE needed a drop to NW7500 in order to return to the winner's circle; obviously the Alexander trainee is classy enough to take another. (1) BIG SIR has been showing speed recently but arguably his best game is making one big move from slightly off the pace; Bucci trainee can land a piece.
Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) ROCKIN WITHELVIS A took the money, raced well, came up second best in his North American debut; Yannick gets the drive tonight on the Bako trainee and the import definitely deserves following up. (1) DEAN B HANOVER is obviously logical moving from two consecutive eight holes to the rail. (4) CARLISIMO has hit the board in eight of his last nine; got to love the consistency.
Race 9: 3-6YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(5) BETTOR ROLL ON A had a series of good efforts at this level towards the end of last year and he's back from a brief hiatus sporting a competitive qualifier. Rob Harmon trainee finds a pretty soft field here to make his 2023 debut. (7) AMERICAN FRONTIER never got involved last week from the eight hole and he's outside again but this seems like a better spot to try leaving the gate. (6) BUCHANNON HANOVER piled up a bunch of wins on the PA fair circuit leading to his gaudy numbers as a 3-year-old; he now makes his fourth start for the Mark Ford barn (and third on Lasix) and he was a decent third in his local debut.

Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
These high-priced claimers for the females are often competitive events that produce a decent price but this race looks like (1) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY will be controlling things at odds-on, assuming she maintains her form coming off the Jared Bako claim. (5) NUTTINBUTTHEBEST leaves the gate every week so more of the same can be expected here. (4) CAVIART CHERIE was off over a month prior to her last start and she finished third; classy veteran can hit the ticket again.
Race 11: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) TRUFFLE DOG is the latest Cullipher trainee to hit town and he lands the rail in a soft conditioned event. Bartlett is back driving looking to cap off a chalky evening. (4) BELTANE A gets some post relief after a series of bad draws; veteran has plenty of back class and did finish well last out. (5) KINGSTONS BAD BOY was claimed two back by Cory Stratton for $20K and he never fired last week. Class relief should help.
