BEST BETS: 3 - 5 / $11.00 (+$1.00)

Race 1: 2-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(8) TRAIN STATION raced well again last week but just can't seem to find the winner's circle. Price should be honest out of the eight hole and Bartlett will be firing. (2) FORWARD LOOK roared home on debut at a huge price in my opinion considering the good-looking qualifiers. Goes for another but now is likely overbet. (1) ALLBETSONFRITZ arrives from Mohawk in good form for his new barn and gets Gingras.

Race 2: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $50K Clm Pace
(5) GOLDEN QUEST N had been knocking on the door prior to last week's unfortunate DQ; she gets another chance from me to get it done. (2) CORAL BELLA didn't threaten late but last week was a much-improved effort as she looks to regain last year's form. (7) MCANGEL moves to a new barn via claim while in great shape and Yannick will be trying to leave from out there.

Race 3: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $20K Clm Pace
Here we are again with (2) FEELIN RED HOT. This is easily the softest field she's faced in years. Let's see her go wire to wire. (7) SEZANA N has won in this class before and would be a major player if not for the post. We trade that off with a good price. (3) BETTOR B SAWYER gets a driver upgrade to Gingras.
Race 4: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $50K Clm Pace
(1) TERACITA has been hard to knock since arriving at Yonkers and Bartlett will be looking to go down the road with the Engblom trainee. (2) CHUPPAH ON qualified willingly and she's proven with this type. (7) SOUTHWIND JAVA debuts for Burke off the claim but she gets the worst of the draw and will need a big effort to get it done.
Race 5: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $20K Clm Pace
(5) SHOTGUN PERSUASION had been making a good living at the $50K claiming level towards the end of 2023 but she's been a bit flat so far this season. Alexander trainee takes an important drop back to the $20K level and will offer value with #2 taking the money. (2) TUAPEKA JESSE N has been solid in all starts since the Engblom claim; deserving favorite. (4) UNITY ships from Ohio into a new barn looking to show some improvement. Class-wise she seems to fit with this type.
Race 6: NW10441 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) KINGSVILLE has hit the board in his last three tries facing better and even won at a higher level a couple of months ago. Brennan figures to get aggressive from this spot. (3) ALLUNEEDISFAITH N is usually forwardly placed for the hot Bako barn. (1) DIAMONDBEACH needs to show more to be considered a win player but he moves all the way inside and Bartlett drives again.
Race 7: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $50K Clm Pace
(2) COMMANDER CATHY N figures to have benefitted from her first start of the year and lands an improved post in her return to claimers. Brennan is back driving and figures to offer a decent price. (4) ONEDERFULBEACH gets a tag on her head as Engblom drops the 4YO into this series. I'll trust his classification skills. (3) BETTERB CHEVRON N is a proven commodity at this level.
Race 8: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $20K Clm Pace
Mixed back of mares here for round one at the $20K level. (2) WINDSUN MOJITO certainly is logical on the strength of her tough beat from a similar spot last week and overall she's been good for an extended period of time, both at The Meadows and out east. (6) ROSEY TIME won easily last start up at Batavia, and for what it's worth she was actually tagged for twice the price as here. She's got early speed which will probably on display. (5) PLEASURE SEEKER was a good second after battling.
Race 9: Stake Your Claim series Leg 1 - F&M $20K Clm Pace
(2) DREAM DANCING pulled off a 13/1 upset last week and was snatched up by Engblom. She probably goes 1/5 now but does look best. (1) BRONZE OVER N will undoubtedly be protecting position from the rail to either cut the mile again or opt for a stalking trip. (4) PRAY THE ROSARY showed improvement last start, like her stablemate in race 2; Kakaley picks up the catch drive.
Race 10: NW20626 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SPEED MAN N is always close and is a neck and a head shy of a four-race winning streak. Classy gelding's tactical speed sets him up well here. (1) SHINE A LIGHT gets post relief and was a good second two back. (5) HEMSWORTH N powered home in his last two and the Bako trainee also has some speed; dangerous.

Race 11: NW17421 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BILL HALEY N finished willingly last week and while he only had one win last year over 19 starts it did come three back in his 2023 finale and he hit the board in 11 other starts. Kakaley picks up the drive and seems to be one of the prime contenders. (2) THE REGULATOR also doesn't win often but almost always makes money; best post he's seen in ages. (6) VINTAGE CHEDDAR N is interesting as a closing threat with Stratton sticking.
Race 12: 3-6YO winners 3 not more than 5 or $60,000 lifetime Pace
I guess we can put a line through (6) VICI's race last week where he pulled up with broken equipment. Prior efforts all sharp. (1) STATESIDE DEUCE GB and (2) VENTURESOME ARDEN N are a couple of recent overseas invaders, both with the ability to flourish here. #1 may have the tactical edge starting from the rail.
