Race 1: 3-6YO Winners 3 not more than 5 or $60K lifetime Pace

Interesting opener with three horses making their U.S. debuts and a live local horse in post eight. (1) MR MATT MAJOR N is fresh stock for proven connections and Bartlett is driving the Shane Tritton import from the rail off a very effective couple of qualifiers. I have a feeling he'll be ready to roll. (8) VICI was second best last out in 1:53 4/5 and the Bongiorno charge has plenty of gate speed to use from the far outside. (2) COTTON ON N is a Lance Hudson import who will offer much more value than #1 and his qualifier seemed perfectly effective.

Race 2: Stake Your Claim F&M $50,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(4) CHUPPAH ON should be tighter in her second return start and she's a proven winner at this level. (3) YS SENSATIONALCITY is a new shooter in this class and she's been competitive in every local start. (2) WOODMERE HARRIET was second best at this claiming level a few back when drawn the rail; this post is a bit of an improvement from her last couple.

Race 3: Stake Your Claim F&M $20,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

I sound like a broken record every time (2) FEELIN RED HOT is in to go as I repeat myself giving advice on how to approach betting her, but this is now officially the best spot she's seen in about five years. Maybe Joe Bongiorno tries bottoming the field. (4) SEZANA N doesn't win much but she's done good things in the past against similar. (5) WESTERN ROSIE gets a driver change to Stratton and maybe she could be a closing threat.

Race 4: Stake Your Claim F&M $50,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(3) PARADISE ROCK L has rolled home in two straight since being claimed by these connections for $20K but she's also got speed which could be on display with the improved post. (2) IDEALINFUN also lands a much better post as she drops in for a tag for top connections. (4) MC ANGEL goes for another new barn while on an extended form spree.

Race 5: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE failed at odds-on two back from a similar spot but now she will be a much better price and we know he's more than capable. (4) NANDOLO N will be overbet coming off last week's big effort with Lauren Tritton in the bike as he switches back to Bartlett but he's burned money in similar scenarios. (2) SHADOW CAT is up in class off a nice win and he can be good for a piece tonight from the inside post.

Race 6: Stake Your Claim F&M $20,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(2) BRONZE OVER N has loads of back class and she's going well now; veteran gets top billing with the post edge. (4) PLEASURE SEEKER has been close her last two from similar spots; logical. (7) SHOTGUN PERSUASION was reclaimed by the Laterza barn off an easy win; new driver Holland is likely firing early.

Race 7: Stake Your Claim F&M $20,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(2) NUTTINBUTHEBEST returns from Northfield and lands in Alexander barn; mare has won here in the past and looks like she could be a decent fit here. (1) HARMONY OF NOTES was a solid earner last year and she hit the board in two of her last three at double-digit prices; rail draw should keep her close. (4) ROSEY TIME took money upon arrival but had too far to come; trip almost has to be better tonight.

Race 8: Stake Your Claim F&M $50,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(5) ONEDERFULBEACH dropped in for a tag in round one of this series and the Engblom trainee wired them at odds-on. I'm sure strategy will be the same tonight. (3) LINE EM UP hasn't had the easiest of trips lately but she's had some close finishes recently against this type. (2) LOOKATMYART gets a barn change off the claim and steps up for double the price tonight but should be close to the pace and pick up a piece.

Race 9: Stake Your Claim F&M $20,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(4) PHELGON just missed in round one of this series and doesn't meet any standouts here; worth a look at what should be a decent price. (5) BETTOR B SAWYER was a winner upon arrival, lasting over #4; looks to repeat. (7) UNITY was bet down to 6/5 in his local debut and stopped badly, now the Lance Hudson trainee is all the way outside at an unappealing morning line. Hard to predict what we see tonight.

Race 10: Stake Your Claim F&M $20,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(1) AINTNOHOLLABACKGRL has rallied well in a handful of recent starts and now goes for the Bako barn via claim while landing inside again. New driver Kakaley has tactical options here, assuming she's quick enough early. (5) BLUEBIRD GRAF won last out for Brennan/DiDomenico, obvious contender. (6) DREAM DANCING has won two straight for two different barns, looks for the hat trick for another new trainer. Stratton gets the drive for the Lorentzon barn.

Race 11: Stake Your Claim F&M $50,000 Claiming Leg 2 Pace

(3) TERACITA could not hack the uncovered route last start and flattened to third. Safe to say Bartlett will be looking for the front now. (4) LA BELLA VITA N is in for a tag after being in tough in her two starts since arriving locally. Bako trainee appears the main threat to the top one. (2) ELSIES DELIGHT has been a very consistent sort up in Canada and now gets major post relief in her second local try.

Race 12: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

More foreign invaders here in #1 and #3, and both won by a football field in their respective qualifiers. #8 is also a recent import looking to get acclimated. I'll put them underneath the logical local player (4) MIND HUNTER for Bartlett/Engblom, who figures to be more involved tonight dropping back to the level of his last win.
