Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 2/15

MEET STATS: 23 - 101 / $124.50 (-$77.50)
BEST BETS: 3 - 9 / $9.60 (-$8.40)
Best Bet: CAPTAIN FANCY (7th)
Spot Play: THUNDRA (10th)
Race 1: NW2 races or $35,050 lifetime Pace
(2) BALI BEACH freshened up with a nice qualifier at Monticello and should be ready to make his seasonal debut for the Stratton barn. Note that Cory is listed to drive which will help his price. (7) MAKIN SOME NOISE arrived from Northfield after a series of blowout wins but he tasted defeat for the first time at 25 cents on the dollar. He does remain the one to beat despite the outside post. (4) BORN A REBEL gave it an aggressive try upon arrival from Canada and he bears watching.

Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) VIRGIN STORM qualified effectively for his 2022 debut and while the outside post is tough the gelding certainly fits with this type; worth considering at what should be a good price. (6) GLACIS drops to the basement for Lachance but faces an uncertain trip at a short mutuel. (1) MCERLEAN has been poor in his two seasonal starts but the oldtimer has been able to turn things around in the past and perhaps he has one more run in him.

Race 3: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) ON ACCIDENT shipped in from Freehold and was uncovered into a fast last half so he can be excused for not getting there; he draws well again and looks to have a live shot. (3) SPRINGSTEEN prevailed as the heavy favorite in his local return and he's certainly talented enough to repeat; his behavior has always been the issue. (5) WHITE HAIR ROCKS completely turned things around on the barn change and he may still be sharp enough to land a piece against better.
Race 4: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(5) SETH HANOVER may be able to make the front from this spot and that would make the Burke trainee tough to catch. (3) NATIVE'S FILOU gets a bit of post relief and always offers good value. (2) GAMBLING ADDICTION also moves inside and will be close to the pace throughout.
Race 5: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) TYGA HANOVER was overmatched last week in the Open but the start prior he wired NW30000 field from the rail; he figures to be controlling the action from this spot. (5) ROCKAPELO has failed to get involved in all recent Yonkers outings but if Brennan gets him in play he will be a major player. (2) UNCLE JORD A steps up to face tougher but the Erv Miller barn has been very live recently.
Race 6: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(5) OHARE HANOVER has done nothing wrong since arriving locally and he looks to win another facing similar; non-local driver should help his price. (3) BRAZEN BRAZILIAN never wins but he gets post relief and does have some early speed. (4) ARTS ATTITUDE has finished close-up in his two seasonal starts.
Race 7: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(4) CAPTAIN FANCY cruised to an easy win at odds on last out from a similar spot and he gets top call to repeat. (8) ULTIMAROCA obviously has enough speed to overcome his eight-hole draw but the Burke trainee doesn't always finish what he started; will he be cutting the mile or defer to the top choice? (6) COALITION HANOVER blew away NW6 recently for Team Bongiorno. If there's an upsetter in here it could be him.
Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) CYCLONE BANNER N has raced well in his two local starts for the Cullipher barn and he seems overdue for a win. (2) CLAYTONS BETTOR N was aggressively put on the front by Dube last start but he was worn down by the sharp winner; he may be stalking from this spot and does seem capable. (6) MOHAWK WARRIOR has some class and isn't the worst longshot out there to include on the bottom.
Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SOHO LENNON A came up a bit dull from the pocket last start facing $100K claimers; classy veteran is back in his comfort zone at this level and hopefully the missed time won't impact him negatively. (2) ROCKATHON moves back inside and figures to be aggressively handled in the early stages to secure a live trip. (4) MICKY GEE N just hasn't been right but he's more than capable of turning things around in a hurry.
Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) THUNDRA took the money last start and was sent to the front but could not last the duration; I'm willing to give her another chance. (4) POPPY DRAYTON N has proven to be a nice fit at this level and she will be making her presence felt at some point. (5) FEELIN RED HOT took some time off after failing to pick up a check in three starts after the Jenn Bongiorno claim; she was a winner in that recent Big M qualifier and drops back in for a tag hoping to recoup some of that investment.

Race 11: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) QUALITY BUD should be rested and raring to go after being cancelled three consecutive weeks; he raced well in his initial start for the Forte barn and new driver Zeron has options from this post. (1) TULLOW N wasn't bad for third last start versus a runaway winner; he's got loads of back class and draws best. (2) SEEUINNASHVILLE A raced much better in his second start for the Garcia-Herrera barn and could be even tighter tonight.
Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
This race came up pretty tough for NW7500 with a bunch of droppers. (3) DON DOMINGO N has basically been going through the motions recently but he lands an improved post tonight and has plenty of class to call upon if Zeron gets him in play. (2) MACH DORO A looked good for most of the mile last start when trying to wire $75K claimers but he fell apart in the late stages; Garcia-Herrera trainee is still trying to work himself back into shape. (6) ALOTBETTOR N sports a :27 second last quarter from his latest start and that will attract some attention.
