Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(3) LINE EM UP has been as competitive as any at this claiming level and she moves back to a more reasonable post; for this barn she performs well when drawn well. (4) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL is another who brings an honest effort with regularity and if you toss last week's tough trip she'll be right there. (5) FORTUNADA had recent success at Pocono, not so much at Yonkers; Hudson trainee drops in for a tag tonight and we'll see how she fits.

Race 2: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace

(1) BEANTOWN BABE just missed two back then she successfully dropped and popped, dominating at 10 cents on the dollar; she moves back to the $25K claiming level and from the rail figures to have a tactical advantage over main threat (2) REAL LADY SADIE. The latter scored in 1:53 4/5 in her return to the Laterza barn and those connections have done a solid job this year playing the claiming game. (5) PARADISE ROCK L is back in for a tag after hitting the board in four of her last five.

Race 3: 2-5YO NW2 not more than 4 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace

(1) LEGAL ATTACK has been a close second in two of three since arriving for the Engblom barn. Tonight his main man Bartlett returns to the bike and they can control the action from the rail. (2) ICACO HANOVER has hit the board in his last five and he draws another good post; main threat. (4) DEALERS TURN has missed some time recently between starts but when right he's as fast as any in here.

Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(7) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A debuts for the aforementioned Laterza barn and though she draws poorly she has proven capable of overcoming tough spots and she figures to be a good price here; I'll take a stab that she remains sharp. (1) YS SENSATIONALCITY moves back inside and looms the one to beat for top connections. (4) WOODMERE HARRIET may be ambitiously placed at this claiming price but this barn has been going well for an extended period of time and she deserves a look.

Race 5: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) PINK RUBY has been knocking on the door for a few weeks now including her latest where she just missed with Lasix added; not much of a price here but the Stratton trainee is the one to beat. (3) BROOKDALE JESSIE has been reasonably competitive when drawn on the inside half of the gate but at 1 for 67 over the past two years it's hard to get excited about her though she can be considered underneath. (8) LADY WISHES is a 3-year-old filly with stellar form over at The Meadowlands but she gets the worst of the draw here.

Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) SPEED MAN N finally came through for me last week and I'm going to give the veteran a chance to repeat facing significantly better. He has won at higher levels numerous times in the past. (4) CENTURY HEINEKEN won easily in his local return and he's got a 1:51 3/5 mark here from earlier in the year. (2) JETT STAR N is another recent import for the Cushing barn and he makes his local debut off two steady efforts at Plainridge. May be ignored in the wagering here despite the good post.

Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

Remember when (1) ROCK DIAMONDS N won about a hundred races in a row? It really wasn't that long ago and the ageless veteran looks to be back in fighting form after last week's sharp close. (4) BIRTHDAY gets away from some of the top levels and the Burke trainee picks up Gingras in the bike tonight; main threat. (7) CUT N RUN N is another of the wave of recent imports and this one just missed in his first two tries; post is tough, however.

Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) ULTIMAROCA gets a face a bit softer here and he certainly is fast enough to compete and win. He figures to offer some value despite the rail draw with new driver Siegelman in the bike. (6) TIP TOP CAT failed to get involved in his local return but I have a feeling he'll be put in play much earlier tonight despite another outside post; note he's just 1 for 20 on the season (with 14 board finishes). (3) TICKERTAPE HANOVER just missed after cutting the mile last start; logical.

Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) AFLAME HANOVER has been a solid earner for these connections for years and recently he's awakened with the class drop; he returns locally and seems like a good fit at this level. Gingras drives. (2) SHADOW CAT has been way overdue for a win and used to be a cinch at these lower levels; Holland is back driving. (1) NINETEENTH MAN A returns from Pocono for the Bongiorno barn and he has a win over this surface in 2024.

Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) FAMILY RECIPE drops to the basement conditioned level and it's hard to imagine him not winning here, however I'm not running to bet him. Both (6) THRASHER and (3) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER have fallen on hard times. Of those two #6 figures to offer the much better price, and he's capable of waking up here as he tries to reach the $100K mark for the season.

Race 11: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) PLEASURE SEEKER hasn't found the winner's circle in quite some time but she continues to be competitive at this level with two seconds and a third over the last month; good post again gives her a chance at the top prize. (4) TYRA MAKES BANK has good early speed which always makes her dangerous. (3) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL just missed two back and moves back inside after a lost week out of the eight hole.
