2025 MEET STATS: 369 - 1203 / $2,011.98 (-$394.02) BEST BETS: 61 - 117 / $199.74 (-$34.26) BEST BET: STERLING CHOICE (9th) SPOT PLAY: TWIG (12th) Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) BOUT DAMN TIME A is 1 for 28 but picks up plenty of checks and she draws well in a pretty soft field. Perhaps it's "bout damn time" she wins a race. (5) DISARONNO HILL always races well for this barn and is in a spot where she can flash her customary early speed. (1) STONECOLD GIRL certainly needs to improve off her last effort; prior form is competitive. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace (2) MALUKA MISS N drops back in for a tag tonight and has the early speed to take control; could go a long way on the front end. (1) TOBAGO TIME was stuck outside in her two starts off the Lance Hudson claim; move to the rail makes this veteran very dangerous. (3) ATREACHEROUS A was a solid winner from a similar spot last week and goes for her fourth win in five starts. Race 3: 2-5YO NW2 races or $36,765 LT Pace (5) ONEFORTHEROAD GB faltered in his U.S. debut but now the Shane Tritton trained/Lauren Tritton driven import may be off the pace from this spot at a more attractive price and I'll give him another chance. (4) QUOTE ME NOT N just missed last week for the leading trainer/driver but that loss means he gets another crack at this level. (2) LAFITTE is certainly one to watch after racing well in his local debut for the Alexander barn. Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) AMBUSHED is arguably in career form and we'll see if that can continue for her new barn after dipping in for $60K. She has two tough ones inside of her but that helps the price. (2) ACCESS GRANTED was collared late by the top choice but despite having something to prove at this level she appears talented enough. (1) CHIAPANECAS should be on the lead or stalking from the pocket and obviously she's a major player. Race 5: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (1) DISTANT LOVER had made the front from the seven hole and was cruising before ultimately being pulled up with broken equipment after bolting into turn three and the recent Bako reclaim obviously deserves another chance. (2) UNCONTROLLED fits well here and the post improvement makes her the main threat. (5) CHARMING VIXEN wasn't bad in her local return, maybe gets a piece here at a price. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace So do we think that (6) MAJORCROWDCONTRL A is ready for action off that one qualifier? Newest import for the Dilloian, Jr barn may be facing a tall order here but must be considered. (4) ROCKIN JUKEBOX takes a needed drop in class, gets post improvement, picks up Bartlett. Plenty to like. (2) ROYAL DESIRE is up a notch off a win; late closer can rally with a smooth ground-saving trip. Race 7: NW16401 in last 5 starts Pace (2) VEGAS STRIP N is yet another first-timer arriving from Down Under, another for the Blackler barn. Colin Kelly qualified this one and keeps the drive for his pari-mutuel debut. (1) PLEASELETMEKNOW shipped over to Pocono to face softer and he finally appears headed in the right direction for the Alexander barn after winning two straight. (5) MANFERNO wired easier as the big chalk but he's probably off the pace tonight, and he's shown sub :28 last quarters in his prior four races. Race 8: NW23901 in last 5 starts Pace (6) PINNY TIGER A lost his debut but the recent import has now won three straight, up in class each time. Something tells me he's got another level or two in him. (1) FIFTH AND FIVE was third in his local debut after arriving from Canada and that was probably a needed start. Could have more to offer. (2) TYPHOON BANNER N is involved in the action every start regardless of post and it figures to be more of the same for the Bongiorno trainee. Race 9: 2-5YO Winners of 5-7 or $90,000 LT Pace (3) STERLING CHOICE dominated last week when bumped to this class and the Bako trainee seems hard to go against as he looks for four straight after arriving from Mohawk. (5) MATAI PHIL N was lost at the back in his debut at this level but he's back to Holland tonight, who gets along well with the import. (4) DREAM BIRD won by a head, lost by a neck and lost by a neck the last three times Buter drove this Burke trainee. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) CHANTEE is winless on the year but that didn't stop this gelding from being popular at the claim box. Now 0 for 34 as the current connections were stuck in the eight hole twice he drops from claimers into this NW7500 field and deserves a look at 20/1 ML. (2) TROOPER L and (3) VENTURESOME ARDEN N figure to split all the money but both are showing up with new trainers listed and in the case of #3 he's missed almost four months of action. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: 2-5YO Winners of 2-4 or $60,000 LT Pace (7) FEDERER picked up Bartlett last start and won easily at 3/5 odds. Pelling trainee gets another crack at this level and is the one to beat despite the poor post. (4) SET SHOT is now second-time Lasix for Lachance, something worth considering. (5) PIRATES CODE was a winner in debut for the Alexander barn after arriving from Delaware. 3YO was in for a tag in that win. Are these tougher? Race 12: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) TWIG has six wins and almost $100K earned this year, but not much going on lately for the Laterza barn. Gelding draws better and figures to be flashing speed. (3) FAMILY RECIPE drops to the basement, figures to awaken. (6) CURBSIDE PICKUP picks up Bartlett tonight and the Burke trainee is overdue for a win.
