Race 1: NW10681 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) JAHAN HANOVER struck from off the pace to earn a long-awaited victory last week and the bump up a notch in class shouldn't be a major problem; Engblom/Bartlett duo have a significant tactical edge from the rail. (3) HEZ ALLTHERAGE N has been going well recently and he faces a bit easier here but the trainer has just one win here all year so maybe he's better used underneath. (5) YOROKOBI N hasn't been a factor in his last few but he tries a new driver in Brennan and maybe a fresh set of hands helps the cause.

Race 2: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) SONNY WEAVER N seems to have a class edge on these and Stratton should be taking control of this field early on the Cullipher trainee. (1) GREG THE LEG was a winner when last at this level and usually races well when drawn inside; he's a real threat here. (6) ALL ALONE was just that when dropped to the bottom but he'll have to work a bit harder here in order to repeat.

Race 3: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace

(1) LAZIN ON THE BEACH has hit the board in her last six facing similar and catch-driver Lachance has done a good job with her. She's got speed and an inside draw making her an obvious contender here, and she usually offers value. (4) CHASE YOU raced well last week considering it was her first start in over two months so logic would dictate that from a similar spot she should be as good or likely better than that last effort. (8) REAL LADY SADIE is a 14 time winner this year and is razor-sharp now. It all comes down to how well Holland gets her off the gate.

Race 4: 2-5YO NW 2-4 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace

(3) SWEETHOMEALABAMA N needed just three starts to win after arriving from New Zealand for the Stratton barn. He faces a tough rival directly to his inside but I'll give him the call to repeat. (2) LEGAL ATTACK has been second best in three of four starts for the Engblom barn since arriving from Canada and is the obvious main threat. (8) AYR BALMORAL GB has raced well in every start recently without a win to show for it. I've been in his corner for many of those efforts so he'll probably shock at 40/1 because I'm leaving him underneath.

Race 5: NW50001 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) EUPHORIA N drops to the bottom level and is second-time Lasix; Vallee veteran keeps Kakaley and seems capable of the mild upset over the invading (2) BB LUCKY BOY. The latter returns locally off an insane 1:52 4/5 win at Freehold and will attract a ton of attention as a result. (1) ROCK THE BELLES moves from the eight hole all the way in to the rail and that alone makes him a major player.

Race 6: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(8) MIKI THE CLOWN failed to get involved in her last two from outside posts but the difference tonight is she drops to face much softer so that may give Brennan incentive to take an aggressive approach. (3) LADY WISHES has put in two decent speed efforts since arriving at Yonkers; filly loses Gingras but gains Bartlett and she's a live fit here. (6) PLEASURE SEEKER has been in good form recently but that's been from inside posts; let's see if she can keep it up from the six hole.

Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A is another import for the Blackler barn with Bartlett at the controls. Based on that Big M qualifier he's ready to roll at first asking. (2) MISSED THE TRUTH A just missed in his local debut for Cushing, just his third overall start in the U.S. He's also in with a big chance here. (7) CADILLAC BAYAMA has been a steady presence for Lachance and he does drop a notch but is at a major tactical disadvantage from the outside post.

Race 8: NW21971 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) SEMI TOUGH picks up a new driver in Siegelman as his recent regular driver Gingras isn't here; maybe the Burke veteran will respond favorably to the new set of hands. Price will be right. (4) HEMSWORTH N was nailed on the money last week and though he steps back up a notch off the loss the veteran still should be a prime contender. (1) THE IDEAL DANCER A had a less-than-ideal trip last week after taking a shuffle but he gets another crack from the rail.

Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(2) IDEALINFUN lands the best post she's seen in a couple of months and she is a proven winner here with six local tallies on the season. She was a winner the last time from an inside post with Bartlett driving. (1) JULES HILL also gets major post relief in her second local start for the Virgil Morgan Jr. barn after arriving from Dayton. (4) SILKY STRIDE beat $50K claimers four back from a similar post.

Race 10: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) IDEAL SKIES makes her debut for the Burke Brigade and the filly is classified at this $20K claiming level; as previously mentioned this outfit knows how to classify their stock so I'll assume she'll be a live contender here. (3) BEANTOWN BABE blew away the field at 1/9 odds the last time she was at this level. (4) IRON MISTRESS has been sharp and goes for three straight overall.
