Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 11/8

MEET STATS: 391 - 1107 / $1,936.70 (-$277.30)
BEST BETS: 62 - 105 / $230.20 (+$20.20)
Best Bet: AMERICAN BOY N (10th)
Spot Play: LADY DELA RENTA A (1st)
Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) LADY DELA RENTA A had a strong run recently at this level, with two seconds and a win; mare draws well here and looks like the one to beat. (3) CHUPPAH ON has also been good in all recent starts and certainly is logical; Marohn gets the drive tonight as Stratton sticks with his brother's horse. (1) ROCKNROLL ANNIE too a while to get going this season but she's firing on all cylinders now; this is a step up but she could be good enough.
Race 2: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) LOUIE THE HORSE N has taken two straight by open lengths and though he's up in class again and lands outside he keeps Bartlett and will hopefully be firing from the gate. (4) SAULSBROOK HERO has had good closing pace in all recent and this barn is going well. (3) FAMILY RECIPE has had moderate success since arriving from Ohio a few months back and he looks best of the rest.
Race 3: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(3) SUPERVISETHEMOMENT recently shipped from Canada to join the Burke barn and he came up a bit short after setting a pressured pace in his local debut; he likely needed that start and could have more to offer tonight. (7) DRAGON LADY was a respectable third at the NW6 level last out and he closed sharply in his prior two in the NW4 class. Post is tough but he deserves a look with Bartlett. (2) BETTOR ROLL ON A failed last out at odds-on; price goes way up now.
Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BEACH BLANKET BOOK went a brutal trip as the big favorite last week at Philly but showed good speed the prior couple of races; he arrives at Yonkers for new connections and should fit in nicely. (5) ROLL WITH TIME was much-improved in his first local start and the Virgil Morgan, Jr trainee looms large tonight. (1) GLENGARRY KNIGHT N has really been off his game of late but he gets needed post relief and should be looking at a live trip.
Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
Interesting race with a couple of Down-Under shippers and some other class droppers. (4) JUDDY DOUGLAS A makes his U.S. debut for the Alexander barn off a steady effort in a Pocono qualifier. Is he ready to fire right away? I guess we'll follow how live he is in the wagering. (5) MACH N CHEESE plunges from the $75K claimers and as previously mentioned this barn (Forte) has been live; obvious contender here. (1) DECOY has had a decent comeback season and he was second from a comparable spot two back.

Race 6: NW20521 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) FORTIFY had no chance last out from the eight hole in a race won by Nandolo N but the versatile Burke gelding finds a much better spot here and he figures to be aggressively handled. (4) THE REAL ONE also gets much-needed class and post relief, and also a catch driver as Buter gets the call. 12-year-old is still going strong and seems like a must-use here, but good luck getting 8/1. (1) WINDSUN RICKY finally gets a good post and he fits with these.
Race 7: 3-5YO NW 6 races or $78,951 lifetime Pace
(7) HEMSWORTH N got hammered at the windows in his first U.S. start and he delivered from off the pace with a 27 second kicker. Do we see some early speed tonight? My guess is yes. (2) SHAKERTOWN raced evenly from the pocket last week coming out of the same race as the top one and the Alagna trainee should be a major player again. (5) MAC'S MARVEL crushed NW4 a few starts back and he faced some tough ones recently at Philly.
Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) SPEED MAN N and (1) ROCKAPELO are two hard-knocking classy pacers and both drop here looking to control the action. I think Bartlett takes the initiative and looks to wire these. (4) MYSWEETBOYMAX can grind, but can he get close enough. Maybe just third best.
Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(5) MILLWOOD BONNIE N is the most accomplished of these at this level and Brennan will most likely be hustling her from the gate; top billing. (3) LINE EM UP enters claimers for the Jenn Bongoirno barn and may have actually found an easier spot; Bartlett picks up the drive and she's got plenty of early speed. (4) WOODMERE SKYROLLER rallied well last week to be second best and could be a closing threat again.
Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) AMERICAN BOY N gets major class relief as he plunges from the $40K claimers into this softer spot. Classy veteran is clearly the one to beat. (8) RHODENA ROAD went well in his two local starts after shipping from Canada. Forte trainee gets the class relief he needs but he must generate some early speed or it's going to be a long uphill climb. (6) STOP STARING ships from Saratoga and joins the Alexander barn; he's worth keeping an eye on despite being off a few weeks.
