2024 MEET STATS: 391 - 1274 / $2,100.10 (-$447.90) BEST BETS: 56 - 112 / $199.80 (-$24.20) BEST BET: FRONDEUR (4th) SPOT PLAY: CENTURY ENDEAVOR (3rd) Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) FREESTARFLIGHT has been a consistent presence week in and week out though has faltered on the front end in her last three. Prior two were wins from stalking spots, where she may be tonight. (1) YS SENSATIONALCITY makes her second return start after a stint in Quebec and the Engblom trainee moves all the way inside to the rail; major contender. (4) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A was a game uncovered winner last week and is certainly capable of repeating with Lachance on the catch drive. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) ALWAYS B MIMI took advantage of the move inside last week and scored at honest odds; Laterza trainee lands in a similar spot tonight looking to repeat. (6) TYRA MAKES BANK could not get close to the lead last out from the eight hole but she moves to a bit better spot and may have a clear path to the front. (4) JUST ROSAS LUCK has also been showing good early speed recently as Steve Smith took over the driving and he's in the bike again. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (2) CENTURY ENDEAVOR missed a nose at double-digit odds last week when dropped to this lower level and the Stratton trainee draws inside again; veteran seems to be on the cusp of a victory after a long dry spell. (6) I DRAINTHESWAMP A successfully dropped and popped last out and Bartlett drives again facing a bit better. I assume he'll be forwardly placed but not sure if he can reach the lead which may make him vulnerable. (3) CALLMEQUEENBEE A is a mare facing the boys tonight, not something seen that often with pacers at Yonkers. On paper she is taking a significant drop in class but I'll leave her underneath only. Race 4: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (4) FRONDEUR offers a short price here going for four straight but she's clearly best here and figures to get it done again. (2) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL is back in claimers and raced well when last at this level; problem is she's 0 for 25 and counting this year. (3) JILLIAN JIGGS has tailed off recently but she draws a better post and will be a big price; perhaps she saves ground midpack and can pick up a piece. Race 5: NW of 2-4 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace (3) AYR BALMORAL GB had some late interest last start and the Burke trainee has won at a price in this class in the past; he seems capable here with a smooth trip over some rivals who figure to take more money and have question marks coming in. (8) UNRIVALED HANOVER scored at first asking upon arrival from Canada but he goes for a new barn now and lands the worst post. If Brennan can get him near the front he may be trouble. (1) ICACO HANOVER moves all the way to the rail after a string of five starts out of the seven or eight hole. Last two he flashed good speed to get into contention. Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) OHOKA LE BRON N was a winner two back with Lasix added and last start was saddled with post eight and trailed the field. Bucci trainee moves inside with catch-driving Steve Smith again and figures to have a shot at a price in this evenly-matched field. (3) FREQUENT IMAGE beat high-priced claimers three back but has been caught up in fast miles the last two; should appreciate the softer spot. (4) WICHITA LINEMAN has been decent for the most part over the last couple of months and he too shifts from claimers to this conditioned field. Veteran gets moderate post relief. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) PANETTONE HANOVER battled hard in a wicked mile last week but came up second best in that 1:50 3/5 mile; Bongiorno trainee has Kakaley driving again and a similar effort will get it done. (3) TWIN B POWERBALL has been consistent in three starts for Lachance after arriving from Canada. Early speed could be in play from this spot. (2) C BET HANOVER drops a bit, moves inside, picks up Bartlett. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) POUND FOR POUND has sizzled in his last three and he steps up again looking for another. Holland figures to be controlling the action and may prove too sharp to get caught. (2) BINGE ON YANKEE drops from the age-restricted Open for Gillis and draws much better; he figures to be right up close throughout. (5) CADILLAC BAYAMA scored from the pocket in 1:51 4/5 last out; may be a bit farther back tonight but still deserves consideration. Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) THE REAL ONE is nearing the end of the road after a spectacular career and he still brings it with honest efforts. Lachance trainee drops to the bottom conditioned class and can get it done with a smooth stalking trip. (6) HAMMERING HANK has been slow to come around this year as he makes just his fifth start but two back he closed sharply at Pocono and last week was aggressively put on the front end. Safe to say he's ready to win. (2) STRAIGHT UP COOL was a close third with Napolitano driving in his one Yonkers start this year and he's back in the bike tonight.
