MEET STATS: 427 - 1217 / $2,122.20 (-$311.80) BEST BETS: 68 - 117 / $249.10 (+$15.10) Best Bet: MR DS ROCK (2nd) Spot Play: ST LADS BEAT IT (5th) Race 1: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ALEX TYE is a streaky type and he's up in class again going for three straight. Winner of almost $150K this year likely has another level or to in him. (3) REDBANK BLAZE A returns locally and has done good work here in years past; Bartlett picks up the drive from a good starting spot. (7) JUDDY DOUGLAS A is clearly a horse to be followed but the import did miss time with a sick scratch and lands outside. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) MR DS ROCK was a winner last out at Pocono and he returns locally still able to fit the lowest conditioned class. Don't forget he was an Open Handicap winner earlier this year. (3) MANKAT has not been a good claim for his current connections, who shelled out $50K for him. Last week's start was better when he dropped into NW7500. (1) BECHERS BROOK A missed a nose last out, lands the best post again, keeps Bartlett. Race 3: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (2) PAIGE'S GIRL finished steadily for small shares in her last two and now she moves in a couple of spots on the gate. Stratton picks up the drive and seems to have as good a shot as any in a race that will likely come down to the best trip. (1) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX tailed off a bit in her last couple after a lucrative run but now she moves all the way inside and figures to me much more involved. (5) HEAVENISSOFARAWAY gets Bartlett back in the bike but otherwise doesn't stick out that much here; morning-line favorite could show some more gate speed tonight. Race 4: 2-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace (3) PINE BUSH ITALIANO hit town from Monticello last week for the Shane Tritton barn and promptly brushed and crushed. He'll be a short price again looking to repeat. (2) A ROCKNROLL STAR was recently racing in Great Britain and bettors will take note of that :27 1/5 last quarter in last week's Philly qualifier. Obviously consider him. (1) WHAT ABOUT BOB ships in with little current form for owner/trainer Noel Daley but he gets a driver upgrade to Buter. Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ST LADS BEAT IT returns to Yonkers and is reunited with Bartlett, and they teamed up for some big efforts a few months back. (1) VELOCITY KOMODO was a solid second last week and he drops another notch tonight while drawing the rail; Stratton trainee is obviously a serious player here. (5) THE REAL ONE drops to a more comfortable level and he should be moving late. Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (5) ODDS ON PICK SIX tired after a grind in his first start for DiDomenico upon arrival from Hoosier. He faces some questionable foes here and could have more to offer after that acclimating mile. (4) DECOY tried to go down the road in his last two starts but tired late in both tries, though his last start he wasn't all that far off at the finish. We may be seeing an off-the-pace try tonight. (7) AMERICAN BOY N rallied well in his last start at Pocono and the veteran clearly fits with these; only problem is the post but that helps the price. Race 7: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ROLLING WITH SAM could not sustain a two-move try in his last race but he figures to be looking at a smoother trip tonight from the rail; Alexander trainee is clearly one of the major players in here. (3) CAN B PERFECT shows a couple of recent miscues but also some decent efforts with similar when drawn on the inner half of the gate. Gelding will be close to the pace. (5) ROCKAPELO was a trip-sitting winner at this level two back; he figures to have to work harder tonight but he's clearly capable with this kind. Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace Tough race to figure...(5) MY ULTIMATE STAR A has shown nothing in two starts after arriving from Down-Under, but the connections have had success with these types in the past and I suspect they will figure this one out. Maybe the second-time Lasix helps. (1) ROLLWITHPAPAJOE has had a hard time recapturing his old glory but his last two have been better. (7) BAMSKI goes for new connections off the claim and drops in class. At 20/1 ML he's worth a look. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace (7) RB was a winner in his local debut at the NW2 level and has come up just short in his last two. Assuming he pushes the gate away and can get on or near the lead he could take this at a decent price. (5) HP LIS SHADOW has been quite the erratic type but clearly has ability when he minds his manners. Last two with Bartlett driving were good. (1) LOU'S BEACH has been camera-shy at 2 for 27 lifetime but he could trip out from the rail. Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (5) SHECOULDBEGOOD N returns to Yonkers for the first time in over a year now in the Shane Tritton barn and gets leading driver Bartlett. Her form up at Batavia has been good. (3) JIVE DANCING A drops in for a tag and has been good in most recent starts, including a win at the NW20000 level four back. (1) CAVIART CHERIE returns from a failed stint at Plainridge but the classy mare who is closing in on $600K lifetime had taken two straight at this level prior to leaving town.
