2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: HICKFROMFRENCHLICK (10th) SPOT PLAY: THE IDEAL DANCER A (6th) Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (5) LINEMUP KNOCKEMBACK lands an improved spot tonight compared to her last couple of races and she's proven she can win at this level. DiDomenico trainee will offer a much bigger price than the other logicals in here. (1) WHO'S PERFECT figures to be controlling the action for top connections but hasn't won in a while and will probably be overbet. (2) MIKI THE CLOWN, like the top choice, gets needed post relief and was a winner the last time Holland drove. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2:  F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace (4) TWIN B ECHO returns from Saratoga where she was an odds-on winner in their F&M feature and her last local effort was a good second to the speedy winner. Post edge on a couple of her main rivals can give her the edge. (1) LADYCORONA broke in her first start for the Shane Tritton barn and has now missed a couple of weeks but this is a very good spot if she's ready for a better effort. (6) ACCESS GRANTED graduated from the NW lifetime ranks and Engblom tags the 4YO here for $30K plus allowances. I'll trust that she's properly classified but the outside post may make things tricky. Race 3:  F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (7) DISTANT LOVER has been tearing up $20K claimers for multiple barns and she finally steps up a notch for new connections. Mare has proven speed to clear the field early. (3) UNCONTROLLED never gets any attention from the bettors but she's hit the board in six of seven starts including three wins. Fanning trainee may be double-digits again. (2) FORTUNADA gets Bartlett in the bike and is clearly capable of turning things around. Race 4: NW8351 in last 5 starts Pace (3) DEETZY dropped and popped with his seventh win of the season and the 13YO is more than classy enough to repeat. If he makes the lead it could be all over. (4) CELLMATE also bumps up a notch off a win but the Bongiorno trainee loses Bartlett to the 4YO (2) JABBAR who comes off a tough loss at Pocono in 1:50 4/5. The conditions were tweaked to let him in. Race 5: 2-5YO NW2 races or $30,000 LT Pace (6) CARRONSIDELEGCY GB left well to sit the pocket and was a clear second in his North American debut. Import looks ready to win. (4) THE WICKED ONE recently arrived from Quebec via Ontario to join the Devita barn, added Lasix and won at first asking at Pocono. Gets Bartlett for his local debut. (2) QUOTE ME NOT N gets major post relief for the leading barn and has a win at this NW2 level already. He hasn't shown much early speed yet in his brief career but this inside spot will keep him close. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) THE IDEAL DANCER A had no chance in his last few when facing better from outside posts but the Lachance trainee shows live final quarters and may be able to reach tonight with a live flow. (1) ALWAYS B ELITE N was a winner at first asking for the Alexander barn after arriving from New Zealand and in theory he faces better here as he shifts from the age-restricted NW types to the NW10000 level. Speaking of "age", we have a 3YO in here who has banked over $450K lifetime over 22 starts in (6) COURTS ON FIRE. Blake Macintosh trainee was second in a NYSS event here back in August and second in the NYSS final. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) COLLECTIVE WORKS A has been okay since arriving from Down Under and is still looking for that first win. Last week when he transitioned to this class he was caught in a speedy mile and could not reach. If the inside pacesetters falter maybe he can reach at a big price. (1) INFLATION PROOF is the main speed from the rail for live connections but he is a 3YO facing older. (2) NIGHT HAWK may be a stretch on the win end but the Burke trainee is in a good spot to pick up a share. Race 8: 3-6YO Open Pace (2) AMMO got top draw for one of the two inside post positions in this age-restricted Open event where none of these are proven yet. Buter may be able to take control of these early and rate a comfortable pace, hoping to improve on his 2 for 23 seasonal record. Price should be fair. (4) BOURBON COUNTY held #2 at bay last week as the 1/9 favorite but he may have to work harder tonight if he wants the front. (6) CAPTAIN MOORE A has been super for the most part since arriving in the U.S. Last week's effort can be tossed, and while he figures to be trailing again he only needs to pass a few for a board spot. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) THE GREEK FREAK arrived here from Canada last month to join the Alexander barn, and so far in four starts he has a win in NW5000, NW7500, NW10000 and NW15000. Up next is this NW20000 event, his biggest test so far. (6) HELLABALOU draws outside again but he's too classy to ignore. (5) MYSWEETBOYMAX will be a big price but is capable of picking up some pieces. Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK hits the bottom conditioned level and is supposed to wire these. (1) FIZZING N moves all the way in to the rail and also gets a new set of hands with Marohn picking up the drive. Maybe that helps him, maybe not, either way, he can be in a pocket here. (4) JACKS LEGEND N is a millionaire but also just 2 for his last 51 since the start of 2024. Bartlett drives and maybe that helps this guy discover the fountain of youth. Race 11: 3-5YO Winners of 2-4 races or $60K LT Pace (1) STERLING CHOICE is another Canadian-based Macintosh trainee on the card and he looks perfectly classified here. Bartlett drove him in the Jug and he picked up a check from an impossible spot. (5) KWICK SAND A has shown ability since arriving from Australia and maybe the Stratton trainee can pick off the rest. (2) BETTING ON CAESAR looked good beating softer last week; Kakaley with the catch drive tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on X! @drfharnessmatt]
