Yonkers Logo 1.5

MEET STATS: 156 - 464 / $918.00 (-$10.00)
BEST BETS: 28 - 48 / $96.60 (+$0.60)
SPOT PLAYS: 8 - 48 / $55.00 (-$41.00)
BEST BET -
IMPRINCESSGEMMA A (4th)
SPOT PLAY -
DONGAL RUNDLSCRK N (3rd)

Race 1 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(4) SCANDALICIOUS just missed by a head in an improved effort when she dropped down to the NW5000L5 class a week ago. She takes another crack at it tonight and hopefully she can do one spot better. (1) AFFLUENT SEELSTER gets significant post relief after being drawn outside last Thursday. Holland will probably look to be aggressive from the gate with her. (5) MAJORETTE ANGIE finished off her mile pretty well at the Meadowlands on September 11, closing in 27 and change and has a second and a third against NW5000L5's here at Yonkers in her lines.

Race 2 - NW2/25000LT Trot

(7) BURBERRY took a shot at Magnificent Seven in the lane after a pocket trip back on the 10th of September but got the cold shoulder from that foe, who went on to post his third straight win. I think this is a little easier group tonight, and I liked the ability she showed to leave. Jim Marohn Jr. gets a chance with her as Scott Zeron is driving in the Little Brown Jug today. (5) CATWALK AS invades from Scioto where she was competitive against their NW2 class. She has plenty of half-mile track experience from racing in the Kentucky Fairs program. (1) ILLDOITMYSELF hasn't won in 16 chances but has five wins and three thirds. She gets a barn change tonight to Erv Miller, and he teamed with Brent Holland for a couple victories on Monday.

Race 3 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(7) DONGAL RUNDLSCRK N got some wagering attention last Thursday but was never really close. She gets Brennan back tonight and a little bit of a drop, so I'll hope that means she's live and might be more forwardly-placed. (4) GIRL'S GOT RHYTHM just toured the track from an outside post in a NW10000L5 event a week ago, but now she moves down a notch and gets a driver switch to Tyler Buter. He handled her in the winning qualiifer on September 9 over at Pocono. (2) GINA GRACE N moves inside and picks up the services of Pat Berry this time. She picked up a pair of checks against NW17500L5's at Yonkers back in July and August, so an effort like that would make her pretty dangerous.

Race 4 - F&M NW20000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/30000CLM Pace

(6) IMPRINCESSGEMMA A rallied in last Thursday's Open to finish fourth and receives class relief tonight. She remains outside on the gate, but has made front from out here before and gets a good front-end driver in Brennan to employ that strategy. (3) MACHNHOPE never looks great on the turns here but is capable of overcoming it. She returns to Yonkers in good form, having been first, second, or third in her last four in Pennsylvania. (4) BYE BYE MICHELLE put in another great effort a week ago, closing to finish second to the classy Alexa's Power. I'd definitely want to include her underneath.

Race 5 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace

(6) MY RONA GOLD N is a real hard-luck story, having lost three races here by a nose since June. She got parked last time out, so just throw that line away, and she looks prety usable with Dube taking over. (2) SIESTA BEACH ships north from Harrington off a win. I'll bank on Davis having her ready, and that he wouldn't send her up from Delaware if he didn't think she fit at Yonkers. (4) J ROCKIN B ran into a dominant Norman's Madeline back on 9-10. She draws a better post here and might be closer to the front.

Race 6 - NW8/100000LT / NW50000LT Drawn Inside Trot

(6) FULL RIGHTS prevailed two starts back at the NW8 level and gets a chance to be driven by Mark MacDonald tonight. This horse normally goes forward off the gate, and hopefully he can be on or near the front. (5) FASHION FOREVER draws another mid-pack post here after passing rivals to finish third back on 9-10. Smith has sent him before, too, so he has some options. (7) MAGICAL JOURNEY tallied in this class before the shutdown in March and has shown some flashes since coming back, with a third on the 27th of August and a second most recently. Brennan takes over the driving.

Race 7 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(1) SWEET YOU closed with some interest against NW10000L5's back on 9-10. Tonight she drops a notch, moves to the pole position, and picks up Mark MacDonald. Maybe she can get a trip like in that win on 8-28 at Freehold. (4) SANDY WIN moves up from the NW5000L5 level here off a facile win. She doesn't meet up with a terribly difficult group and Dube is back to drive her again. (2) LEMON ZEST slides over to compete against this NW7500L5 field from the NW4's. That was a pretty good win two starts ago, and she gets post two this time instead of the eight-hole she had on the 15th of September.

Race 8 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace

(5) ANGEL'S PRIDE ended up having to come first-over last Thursday and couldn't sustain the bid after getting into second at three-quarters. I'll hope Pat Berry is keen to take advantage of the chance to drive this DiDomenico trainee and can work out a smoother trip for her. (2) MAGIC FORCES hung on to beat NW10000L5's when last at Yonkers back in August. She's trained by Burke, so she keeps Brennan, and he might just try and send her down the road. (4) JEWELS FORREAL probably gets the class drop she's been looking for here but will need to turn in an effort like those when she was third against NW17500L5's in late August and early September.

Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM Pace

(2) COLOR ENVY met up with the likes of Alexa's Power last Thursday, so she drops one level on the class scale this time and gets reunited with Dube. She made a well-timed first-over move to win over NW17500L5's two back. (4) ROCKIN THE BOYS A raced well against NW17500L5's in June and July and gets to return to that sort of condition here after being up against NW25000L5's and NW20000L5's in recent efforts. (6) FEELIN RED HOT ruled the roost at the Open level at Yonkers last year but hasn't been as successful in 2020. She can definitely win her, but comes out of a race at Scioto where she was part of a wicked speed duel, and I'll try to beat her off that.
