Race 1 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(7) AFFLUENT SEELSTER came up with a better performance last time for a hot barn and now drops down from the NW10000L5's. She'll need an aggressive drive from out here, but hopefully Zeron can provide it. (2) SALLY FLETCHER A has been struggling against better but drops to the bottom level here and gets post relief, too. I wouldn't be surprised if she woke up. (5) TIPP CITY worked her way to the lead after the opening quarter in her last effort on 9-3 and wound up second-best. She was favored in that race and remains in the same class, so she's a contender.
Race 2 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(5) DEUCES FOR CHARITY had good results against NW3000L5's and NW6000L5's at Pocono and NW5000L5's here before working up the class ladder. This is a more reasonable spot, and she might offer some value. (2) SCANDALICIOUS made an easy lead against NW10000L5's but folded her tent in the last three-eighths of the mile. She has a similar profile to her stablemate Sally Fletcher A from race one, so maybe see how that one did. (1) LOVERS COVE is a mare with some good history at Yonkers and has come through with good races after struggling like she did last time at Pocono. Watch for Bartlett to be aggressive with her from the rail.
Race 3 - F&M NW10000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/20000CLM Pace
(2) ANNABETH got the nod from Tyler Buter as his choice and scored an easy win against NW10000L5's back on 7-30. She might be able to cut the mile from this inside post. (4) ANGEL'S PRIDE took one chance against NW17500L5's and now drops back to the NW10000L5 class. She won in it to starts ago. (3) TWINSBURG has hit the board in five of her last six appearances, draws a better post, and adds Bartlett.
Race 4 - F&M NW10000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/20000CLM Pace
(3) BRONZE OVER N held on after leading in her last chance against NW10000L5's. There doesn't appear to be a great deal of early speed in this race, so I'm going to hope Brennan can get her on the engine here. (1) PITTSTOP DANIKA rallied to finish second on the drop to the NW10000L5 group on September 3. She slides down to the pole position tonight and has Bartlett to drive again. (7) SANDY'S BEACH absolutely romped two starts back at this level. I'll use her underneath, but any repeat of that effort back on the 27th of August would make her very dangerous.
Race 5 - F&M Open Handicap Pace
(4) SNOBBYTOWN qualified great against Caviart Ally at the Meadowlands, so I expect she'll be ready. All of her efforts at the Open level through June and July were strong, including a second to Shartin N. (3) LADY DELA RENTA A won an edition of the Open at Yonkers in 2019, so the hike up from the NW25000L5 class doesn't bother me. She's been racing great and did draw inside my top pick. (6) APPLE BOTTOM JEANS burned a lot of money earlier this summer but has won two of her last three, and she rallied strongly to finish second in the Preferred last time out. Bartlett gets the drive.
Race 6 - NW10000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace
(3) KEY ADVISOR closed well in a NW10000L5 race two back to finish third from post eight. He has an inside post to work from tonight and gets Bartlett's services. (6) GOKUDO HANOVER drew in off the also-eligible list when another horse scratched. He was on the lead last Wednesday at the same level and came up just a neck shy of the win. (1) COOL BLUES MAN steps up from the NW5000L5 class after rallying to get second. This is the first inside post he's had in a bit, so the connections might be looking to take advantage.
Race 7 - NW10000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace
(3) ART HISTORY meets up with a number of horses who are moving up from the NW5000L5 class, while he's moving down from the NW17500L5's. He was second against NW10000L5's back on August 11 and switches drivers to Tyler Buter with Austin Siegelman opting off. (6) BELTANE A moves up a notch after winning last Wednesday. He races for a hot trainer/driver combo and did defeat the NW9000L5's at Pocono back in July. (1) KIMANI N took advantage of his second chance against NW5000L5's with a facile victory. He offsets the hike tonight by drawing the pole.
Race 8 - F&M NW15000L5/25000CLM Pace
(2) LUCKY ARTIST A crunched a field of NW10000L5's on September 3 when switched to the Harris barn. She does move up a bit tonight, but she has a good post again and could get a similar trip. (4) LISPATTY drops after finishing fourth in the Preferred. She won against NW18500L5's at Pocono three back, which would be pretty similar to this. (7) NORMAN'S MADELINE races out of the hot Paul Stafford barn. That was a dominating win against NW10000L5's last time out, and she might offer some value from another outside draw.
Race 9 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM Pace
(2) ALEXA'S POWER raced well in the Preferred last Thursday, finishing third, and gets to drop tonight. I think she can out-class this group. (4) ROCKIN THE BOYS A lands in a softer spot this time and doesn't have to race against the likes of Lady Dela Renta A. (1) PAMMY JO keeps Dube and has three wins and three thirds in her last seven efforts.
