MEET STATS: 197- 720 / $1,162.60 (-$277.40) BEST BETS: 34 - 69 / $148.80 (+$10.80) SPOT PLAYS: 7 - 69 / $88.40 (-$49.60) BEST BET-ON DAYBOO (5th) SPOT PLAY-RAYRAY (10th) Race 1 - 40000CLM Trot (4) TOP ME OFF moves in a couple of notches on the gate tonight and goes for trainer Scott Di Domenico off a claim. Di Domenico is sending out plenty of live horses right now, and I'll give this one a chance, too. (6) STEUBEN HANOVER hasn't won in a bit but has hit the board in four straight outings. He gets reunited with Tyler Buter after George Brennan opted for my top choice. (5) PC FREE WHEELING was a gaining third in a $40,000 claimer a week ago, and I'll slot her in that spot again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 25000CLM Pace (1) SULLIVAN drops a notch out of the $30,000 claimers and moves to the pole. He gets Brennan back in the bike for the first time since they won together on July 20, too. (3) DELIGHTFUL TERROR steps up from the $15,000 claimers but has won handily in two straight outings, and I'll toss him in underneath. (4) ALOTBETTOR N tired after getting caught up in a duel on the front-end when last seen on 8-31. He was racing very well prior to that and gets a new driver with Buter taking over for Brennan. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (7) TWO FACED drew outside this time but finished a good second to a sharp foe in He's Special last Thursday. He avoids that rival tongiht and gets another shot with Bartlett. He was also re-claimed by trainer Matias Ruiz. (1) PORTERS MAN moves up from the age-restricted $20,000 claiming level but does so off a victory and moves in from post six to the pole position. (3) CAPTAIN T HANOVER continues to rack up on the board results and is a newcomer to the Mike Watson stable off a claim. Jim Marohn Jr. has gotten along well with this 5-year-old and is at the controls again. Race 4 - 40000CLM Trot (1) BULLY BOY HILL finds a more reasonable spot here than the NW20000L5 event he was in when last seen on 8-29 and slides inside on the gate to the pole position. He shows good form from over at Pocono and also gets a driver switch to Joe Bongiorno. (4) WILLY WALTON is another Di Domenico horse who has been performing well, having hit the board in three straight attempts. (3) PASSIONATE PROMISE owns two recent victories in this class, including last Thursday. Race 5 - 3-5YO 20000CLM Pace (3) ON DAYBOO doesn't have great form, but this is the softest spot he's been in, and the Bongiorno stable has been doing well with their horses lately. (4) BROOKDALE MIKI had every chance to win on 8-31 but had to settle for second and is now 0-for-25 in the win column this year. I'll take a stand against. (2) CHIP IN BLUE looks like he's been facing tougher company since coming in from Monticello. He closed evenly in a pretty quick mile on August 27 and drew inside again. Race 6 - NAADA Amateur Fall Series Leg #1 Trot (3) STICK WITH ME KID tired after having to work hard to get to the lead last week, but he bounced right back to win after the same thing happened on 8-15. He moves inside on the gate and should be the controlling speed. (4) HOBBS comes back to Yonkers off a couple of good efforts at the Meadowlands, and he hit the board in a NW5000L5 event at Yonkers back in late July. (6) SHINY NEW PENNY is winless in 2024 but has been facing tougher company over at Pocono. I'll include her. Race 7 - F&M Invitational Trot (4) DIAMANTE TRIO IT came up just a neck short of her third straight win in this class last week. She gets to move inside a couple of notches on the gate here and should have every chance to set up shop on the lead again. (5) WARRAWEE XENIA finally ended a lengthy winless streak a week ago and should be full of confidence now. I could see her getting the job done again. (2) CANTKEEPMIASECRET went off form for three starts but gained ground in a third-place finish behind my top two selections last Thursday. She slides in on the gate from post four to the two-hole this time. Race 8 - Invitational Trot Last time out (5) PAPPARDELLE ran into a couple of horses who wound up racing in the Bob Miecuna Invitational Trot on International Trot Day last Saturday and had to settle for third. I think he faces a softer group in this event tonight, and I'll put him on top. (3) MISSISSIPPI STORM should get back into contention this time as he moves in on the gate from the eight-hole to post three. He was victorious in the Invitational on August 22. (7) DJIMON romped in the Invitational last week and showed the ability to overcome the outside post with little difficulty. Trainer Mark Steacy's horses that have raced at Yonkers have all been very strong so far. Race 9 - NW20000L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/60000CLM Trot (4) WARRAWEE YANG went down to Harrah's Philadelphia and delivered in a NW15000L5 test last week. He returns to Yonkers here, gets reunited with Yannick Gingras and was in the Invitational when last seen locally. (6) RITSON has hit the board in six straight outings, including all three of his efforts in this class. (5) UNEVERGONNAGETHIS steps up from the NW15000L5 level but does so off a victory. His best performances in his lines have been against NW15000L5's, but he did hit the board against NW20000L5's on July 18. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (6) RAYRAY shows back-to-back 27 and change final quarters in two outings since adding Lasix, and he gets to drop to the bottom level tonight. The last time he faced NW5000L5 company, he came up just a head short of winning. (4) IKE'S DREAM takes a second shot at this class here. He tired after being first-over in a quick mile last Wednesday but gets a driver switch to Bartlett and doesn't face anybody as imposing as the winner of that race he exits. (1) WALKINSHAW N starts from post one and slides down to face NW5000L5's off a third-place result in a NW7500L5 dash. Race 11 - NW10495L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace (7) CASINO ACTION N continued his poor luck with post draws here but drops out of the NW15000L5's for a barn that can have one ready to fire a big mile and gets a new driver with Bongiorno taking over. (3) BILL HALEY N hasn't done much since his victory over NW15000L5's on 7-16 but continues to work his way down the ladder tonight and Bartlett hops in the bike. (1) ENIMEN HANOVER moves inside on the gate to the pole position here. He won over NW5000L5's on 8-22 and has gained ground in the final quarter in two efforts since then.
