(8) CORAL BELLA has won two straight and had no issue overcoming an outside post last Wednesday. (3) E R HILARY scored gamely from first-over last week and now shifts in from post seven to the three-hole. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3YO NW1/12500LT Trot (8) YUCATAN PARTY MAN hasn't won in 21 career tries, but he picks up a new driver tonight in Joe Bongiorno, and I'll hope that means an aggressive try is coming from post eight. (2) CHERRY MASON led through an impossibly slow pace over a sloppy track a week ago but got picked off right on the wire. He gets another chance with Stratton and should be in contention. (3) KEYSTONE CECILIA is a newcomer to this group from Canada. If you're not enamored with any of these others and their inability to win in 2021, she did tally two back at Hanover Raceway. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (1) LIME TWIST invades from Monticello. I like the early speed she showed over there since she has the pole, and I definitely don't mind that she wound up with Stratton. Hopefully she offers some value. (8) ALKIPPE finished third and second in a couple of chances against NW5000L5's back in June, with the third-place result coming from post eight. (5) SOUND IDEA takes a third chance against bottom level foes. She couldn't get around Coral Bella last Wednesday and had to settle for second at 2-5. She switches pilots to Scott Zeron here, and maybe that'll make a difference. Race 4 - NW2/25000LT Trot (8) CANTABSLEADINGLADY races out of one of the sharpest barns around in John Butenschoen's, and I'll bank on Tyler Buter mapping out some sort of strategy to get her involved from post eight. (6) BLUE DEVIL picked up a check in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund final down at Harrington, makes his second start out of the high-percentage Mike Terpolilli barn, and was Austin Siegelman's pick. (3) BACARDI had a pretty good 2-year-old campaign and makes his first appearance of 2021 here. His connections might look to strike while the iron is hot. Race 5 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace (3) ANNABETH drops out of the NW10000L5's and finally draws a post other than the eight or seven. I think the green light will definitely be on for her tonight. (5) ALL ABOUT AMY closed well to finish third in her last appearance on 7-22. She did lose Stratton to my top choice but gets a good replacement in Bongiorno. (7) PETTYCOAT BUSINESS continues to slide down the class ladder here. She hasn't shown much in a while, but I could see a wake-up call coming. Race 6 - NW4/50000LT Trot (3) BRILLIANT BOB might have needed that race last week coming off the sick scratch and then he started from an outside post to boot. He's back on a regular racing rotation here, and has a better draw, so I'll swing. (1) REEL EM IN saw his string of on-the-board finishes end from post seven last Thursday, but he shifts to the pole position tonight. (2) SEVENTIER is bound to take plenty of attention dropping out of the NY Sire Stakes, but he flopped at 1-5 against NW4's at Yonkers on 7-1, and I'll attempt to beat him. Race 7 - F&M NW30000L5 Pace (2) DBLDELITEBRIGADE N beat a pretty quality group in that Open at Plainridge last time out and raced capably in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series at Yonkers earlier in 2021. (4) JOSSIE JAMES A gets to drop out of the Open and just missed at this level two back after cutting the fractions. (5) FEELIN RED HOT has gotten a little tough to guess on whether she's going to come with a strong performance or not, but she has tended to pick it up when she's gotten to slide down from the Open. Race 8 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace (2) LYNBAR ROSE N does make the occasional break, but when she minds her P's and Q's she's quite good. Her trainer Juan Cano has been quite hot as of late, and I'll see if she can deliver. (7) NORMAN'S MADELINE made front and just got caught late in the mile a week ago. She's going to switch drivers to Stratton tonight. (6) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI has raced at Yonkers in the past and should be full of confidence having won four of her last five starts at Plainridge. Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000/NW9 Pace (3) SHEIKH YABOOTY N went way too fast in the second quarter in the off going last week and was overtaken in the lane. Joe Bongiorno hops in the bike tonight, and I will give her a second chance. (1) MY RUEBE STAR N drops and moves inside as she makes her third start after a layoff. She should be a contender. (4) ANN HILL hit the board at this level on 7-22, and I don't think it'll probably be much longer til trainer Gil Garcia-Herrera puts her in the winner's circle. Race 10 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000/NW9 Pace (3) DANCE CLUB wound up more off-the-pace than normal last week, and she couldn't close. Her best races in Pennsylvania all came when she was near the pace, and she certainly has a driver in Dan Dube who can make that happen. (4) DRAGON ROLL made a pretty easy lead a week ago but was no match for the razor-sharp Man Dontforget Me. She gets away from that foe tonight and has been doing well throughout 2021. (6) BETTERB CHEVRON N closed well to finish fourth in that same event my top pick exits. I think she needs a drop to be more of a win threat, but she could be used underneath. He owns a prior win in this class and did have a week off coming into that performance last Thursday. (3) SO LONG HANOVER delivered after working out a pocket trip and gets another opportunity versus NW6's here. (6) HIGH GEAR NO FEAR cut the fractions and just got picked off at the wire by So Long Hanover. He's been very strong since coming down from Canada and his trainer has been doing well here across-the-board. Race 12 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/NW10 Pace (6) TURNTHEFROWNAROUND performed very well at Yonkers earlier this year and has been sharp over in Pennsylvania in recent weeks. (1) THATS INCREDIBLE was third to Dbldelitebrigade N in that Open at Plainridge on 7-25. I used her earlier on the card and will include this lass as well. (7) BRONZE OVER N was one of a number of winners for trainer Gil Garcia-Herrera last week and is in for the optional claiming tag tonight, so she didn't have to change classes.
