MEET STATS: 130 - 497 / $805.20 (-$188.80) BEST BETS: 32 - 50 / $110.20 (+$10.20) SPOT PLAYS: 5 - 49 / $55.00 (-$43.00) BEST BET-DRAMA ACT (7th) SPOT PLAY-LIVINGONTHERAIL (1st) Race 1 - NW2/25000LT / Maidens/NW12500LT Drawn Inside Trot (8) LIVINGONTHERAIL did some nice work on half-mile tracks in Canada and invades from the Meadowlands tonight. Hopefully he'll be live despite the outside post, and I'll swing. (6) IN A TINY WAY gets a shot with a catch driver for the first time in her career, perhaps signaling she's ready for a big effort. (1) A NEW LEADER turned in a couple of good efforts at the Meadowlands, including two back when he finished second but was placed for leaving the course in the lane. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (3) SOUND IDEA drops to the bottom level and gets a new driver for the first time in a bit, with Jason Bartlett taking over. (5) AHOY exits the NW7500L5 class and makes her second start for Ron Burke tonight. (7) BET I'M LUCKY crossed the wire first against NW5000L5's on 6-30 but was placed second for going inside pylons and being lapped on at the finish. She could make amends tonight for Joe and Jenn Bongiorno. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - NW4/50000LT Trot (3) EXCHEQUER was second two back and then closed well to finish fourth from post eight last time out. He gets post relief off that mile tonight and picks up Jordan Stratton. (2) CHARLATAN HANOVER should be closer to the front here as he moves back to an inside draw. Driver Austin Siegelman and trainer Nick Devita have been pretty hot lately. (1) VENDOR BILL raced well at the Meadowlands and Harrah's Philadelphia in March and April. He returns after a bit of a layoff and for a new trainer in Brett Bittle. Race 4 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace (2) VELOCITY MCSWEETS finds an easier spot here than the $50,000 claimers she's been in and gets a driver in Dan Dube who will likely have her on or near the lead. (8) POPPY DRAYTON N gives NW7500L5 company a second crack tonight, and although she's stuck outside again, she was able to finish fourth from post seven last time out. (5) ANDRA DAY hasn't done much lately but trainer Nik Drennan is always capable of having one ready and she was George Brennan's choice. Race 5 - NW4/51260LT Trot (6) X O X O squeezed into this race by a dollar as she has $51,259 in lifetime earnings. She tallied pretty impressively against NW4's on June 23, and I'll put her on top again here. (7) PC FREE WHEELING makes her second start for leading trainer Gareth Dowse and went a long way on the front last Thursday before getting overtaken late. (2) COMPLETE LIFE has hit the board in three straight starts and drew well while my top two picks are outside. Race 6 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/4&5YO F&M NW9 PM Races LT Pace (4) SUNDAY AFTERNOON performed well in the corresponding class to this one up at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and horses coming from that circuit to Yonkers seem to often fire first time out. (5) BABS JANSEN put in a solid effort last week to finish second and gets another chance to face NW15000L5's. (1) UPTOWN HANOVER steps up a notch but won impressively over NW10000L5's a week ago and was Bartlett's choice. Race 7 - F&M NW21102L5/30000CLM/4&5YO F&M NW10 PM Races LT Pace (5) DRAMA ACT turned in an improved effort on 6-23, finishing second to Easy To Please. She gets further class relief off that mile and should take advantage. (4) DELITFULCATHERIN N is a mare we've seen at Yonkers before, and she returns tonight after racing out in Ohio lately. She was third in the Open at Scioto last time out, so she should be a good fit in this spot. (2) BETTERB CHEVRON N slides down from the NW30000L5 class and closed in 27 and change last week to finish third. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 8 - F&M Open Handicap Pace (7) BEST HEAD WEST is now with Jenn Bongiorno after what appears to be a private purchase. This mare has had an excellent season, including a fourth in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series final, and I expect the new connections would like to make an immediate impact with their new acquisition. (1) MCMARKLE SPARKLE upset in an Open at Yonkers back in May and was third to Racine Bell last time out. That foe would go on to defeat Horse of the Year Test Of Faith in a stakes event at the Meadowlands. (2) IMPRINCESSGEMMA A steps up from the NW30000L5's but has won three straight and has tallied at the Open level before. Race 9 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace (4) ASHTINI has been knocking on the door with three straight on-the-board finishes and gets a little post relief tonight. She's worth a shot. (2) ANNABELLE HANOVER handled NW7500L5's last Thursday, and I don't think she'll have any issue stepping up a notch. (1) JODY was well-meant in her return off the bench at Pocono, winning over a good foe in Beach Crazy. She was in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series earlier this year, so this is a very soft spot compared to that.
