Race 1 - New York Excelsior A Series 2YO Filly Trot

(5) FORCE OF NATURE didn't get involved from post nine last time out at Tioga but was second at Saratoga prior to that and gets a driver change to Jason Bartlett here. (2) GOODBYE TO YOU drops out of the top-level sire stakes off a third at Saratoga on July 9 and adds Jordan Stratton in the bike. (7) KAROLINA SOLVEIG cruised to a facile victory at Tioga on 7-16 but does start from an outside post tonight.

Race 2 - New York Excelsior A Series 2YO Filly Trot

(6) DUTEE CHAND S overcame an early miscue at Tioga to finish second and was also the runner-up in a sire stakes division at Buffalo back in late June. She teams up with Andy Miller for the first time tonight, and I'll give her a shot. (3) BARN CJ looks like the one to beat for sure as she's romped to three straight wins in the Excelsior A Series, including from post nine most recently at Tioga. (4) SHIV makes her second start with trotting hobbles on and slides down from the top-level sire stakes off two check-getting efforts.

Race 3 - New York Excelsior A Series 2YO Filly Trot

(3) DOZEN and (1) MIMI were first and second in a quick Excelsior A division at Tioga on July 16 and were separated by just a neck at the wire. I will look for that result to repeat itself here. (6) BARN DREAMER is a stablemate to Barn CJ from race two and is also undefeated in her career, having prevailed in both of her career outings. She has a post disadvantage to my top two choices, but gets reunited with Bartlett.

Race 4 - New York Sire Stakes 2YO Filly Trot

(5) STAR ATTRACTION faded from first-over at Tioga most recently but was a pretty good second at Saratoga prior to that and gets a chance to team up with Yannick Gingras this time. (1) R MELINA cruised to a win last time out at Tioga. She did break at Saratoga on July 9 but recovered to finish third, so hopefully she minds her p's and q's in her return to a half-mile oval here. (3) SENORITA PALEMA is a stablemate to my top pick and has a win and a runner-up result thus far. She has some post relief after starting from the seven-hole at Tioga on 7-16.

Race 5 - New York Excelsior A Series 2YO Filly Trot

(1) EVANGELINA broke at Tioga in her debut but was heavily-bet from post eight that day, so that's a positive, and she was coming off a strong qualifier at Pocono on July 1. She starts from the pole here, and I'll put her on top. (5) MOB CANDY has hit the board in both of her appearances so far and gets a driver switch to Gingras. (2) THE GREAT CB was third to the undefeated Barn CJ in her first lifetime start at Tioga on July 16 and could improve here with that effort under her belt.

Race 6 - New York Sire Stakes 2YO Filly Trot

(5) SADBIRDSTILLSING qualified very nicely at the Meadowlands on July 7 and backed that up with a solid runner-up finish in her debut at Tioga. I'll look for her to build on that effort and give her top billing. (6) SISTER MARY MAUDE has been the top dog in this division since leg one at Buffalo and is the one to beat again here. (1) ERIN pulled pocket going to three-quarters in the sire stakes at Tioga, and that didn't work out well as she was rebuffed by SISTER MARY MAUDE and tired. She was second with a smoother journey prior to that at Saratoga.

Race 7 - NW1/13774LT Trot

(3) DARK MIND ships north from Harrah's Philadelphia off back-to-back second-place finishes in their NW1 class and catches a beatable group for the hot Noel Daley barn. (2) BEACON BEACH owns victories over NW1's at The Meadows and Northfield since May 4, squeezed into this race under the lifetime earnings cap by a dollar and recently added Lasix. (8) CHEF ROCCO starts from post eight but just missed by a nose in a good effort last Thursday. He has Bartlett to drive again, and trainer Ray Schnittker is sending out a lot of live horses right now.

Race 8 - 50000-75000CLM HCP Trot

(1) TOCCOA FALLS rallied to win a qualifier over a very good foe in Lovedbythemasses at the Meadowlands on July 15. Lovedbythemasses exited that event and won easily at Harrah's Philadelphia on Sunday, so that makes that result even more impressive, and this horse won two straight at Yonkers last month. (5) GAELIHILL was second to the red-hot Perron in an improved effort last Thursday and is definitely usable. (8) ALL CHAMPY is stuck in the eight-hole but returned to his winning ways a week ago and overcame post seven to hit the board as recently as 6-22.

Race 9 - NW30000L5/NW12 PM Races LT/NW20000L5 Drawn Inside Trot

(3) AMBASSADOR HANOVER exits stakes races and the Open at the Meadowlands and shold be able to take advantage. (5) SWEET SOUL DAVID won the last time he was in against NW30000L5's on June 1 and gets to drop after competing in the Open since then. (6) HL REVADON broke on the second turn a week ago but won comfortably at this level before then.

Race 10 - 50000CLM Trot

(2) CAPSTONE gained some ground in the final quarter in his first start out of the Travis Alexander barn last Thursday. He hadn't raced since 6-28 coming into that race, so hopefully he's sharper tonight and can deliver with some value to go with it. (6) PERRON is three-for-three since joining the $50,000 claiming ranks but does move out from post one to the six-hole. (7) CANTKEEPMIASECRET has been sharp for quite a while other than the breaking effort on June 22. She closed well to finish third in the race won by PERRON a week ago.

Race 11 - NW4/50000LT / NW2/25000LT Drawn Inside Trot

(3) CAL MILES N SHELL cut the fractions and finished second to a well-meant favorite last Thursday. He doesn't meet up with anybody here who had the credentials of that horse, Devilish Hill, who was coming off a fourth-place result in the MGM Yonkers Trot final. (6) ROSE RUN YANKEE steps up from the NW2 class but does so off a victory and has missed the board in just one of his six outings so far this year. (2) BAR COINS miscued on the last turn a week ago but won against NW4's prior to that and has another inside post.

Race 12 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

After 11 trotting races we get to the lone pacing event on tonight's card, and I'll give (4) LYONS PRIDE a try as he finally has a good post following a series of outside draws at the Meadowlands and Yonkers and takes a second crack at bottom level foes. (1) PEDRO HANOVER was second in a big mile by American Mercury on June 17 and gets to slide down to the NW5000L5 class. (2) ICE HOUSE doesn't have any wins this year but did hit the board against NW7500L5's as recently as 6-9 and gets a driver switch to Bartlett.
