MEET STATS: 127 - 460 / $746.30 (-$173.70) BEST BETS: 24 - 45 / $87.90 (-$2.10) SPOT PLAYS: 4 - 45 / $24.70 (-$65.30) BEST BET - TEST OF FAITH (2nd) SPOT PLAY - INDUSTRIAL HEMP (4th) Race 1 - F&M NW7500L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace (3) SANDY'S BEACH paced a strong final quarter on 7-1, which hopefully means she's cycling back to winning form in this spot. (1) VICIOUS CIRCLE hit the board in the Open up at Saratoga in her last appearance and defeated NW7500L5's at Yonkers back in early May. (5) SCANDALICIOUS is a play-against for me for win based on her one-for-19 record this year, but I think she has to be included underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - New York Sire Stakes 3YO Filly Pace (4) TEST OF FAITH is the best sophomore pacing filly you'll find anywhere, and barring some sort of unforeseen calamity, she'll win. (5) ALBERGITA HANOVER handled NW4 company at Yonkers on the 30th of June and was second to Test Of Faith in the NYSS at Saratoga. (6) JUBILEE QUEEN goes for Jenn and Joe Bongiorno for the first time after picking up checks in both sire stakes legs at Saratoga and Buffalo. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - New York Sire Stakes 3YO Filly Pace (3) HEART OF MINE was a good second to Test Of Faith in the Park MGM Pace final at Yonkers and had won all six of her 2021 starts prior to that. She gets away from Test Of Faith tonight, and I'm sure her connections would like to take advantage. (1) OLIVIA BLU came up just a nose short of defeating Heart Of Mine when they met at Saratoga and has won two of three local tries. (2) SUMMER RAE topped a group of NW4's at Yonkers on the 7th of July and won a sire stakes leg at Buffalo back in June. Race 4 - New York Sire Stakes 3YO Filly Pace (2) INDUSTRIAL HEMP doesn't have the same experience level the rest of these do, as she's making just her fourth career start, but she did break her maiden at Yonkers back in May and held well for third after having to do the first-over work at Saratoga. This is the most wide-open of tonight's sire stakes races, and I'll look for some value. (3) DELIGHTFUL Z TAM rebounded after break on 6-23 with a good, rallying second-place finish to Summer Rae on 7-7. She didn't race in the top-level sire stakes at Saratoga or Buffalo. (5) EASY TO PLEASE was less than a length behind Heart Of Mine in Buffalo and rallied to win a split of the Reynolds at Yonkers the last time she was seen locally. Race 5 - NW2/25000LT Trot (8) SOOT HANOVER appears to have turned a major corner as he invades with two straight wins. He has the outside post, but I like his form compared to the others in here and will trust Tyler Buter to work out a trip. (2) CHARMING BANK scored in a NW1 event at Yonkers on 6-17 and was third in a subsequent effort. He gets some post relief tonight. (1) VICTORIANA drops out of stakes competition for the first time in 2021 and drew the pole position. That might be all it takes for a more positive outcome. Race 6 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace (1) TALL POPPY N had no chance two weeks ago against NW15000L5's from post eight, but she moves back down a level and has the rail here. (2) ROCKIN THE BOYS A takes the same drop as my top pick and hit the board in three straight tries from May 27 through June 17. (3) BETCHA BABY is another one exiting the NW15000L5 class. She hasn't won yet this year, but trainer Shane Tritton's horses seem to be on the upswing overall, and she gets Jason Bartlett in the bike for the first time in a while. Race 7 - F&M Open Handicap Pace (5) SIESTA BEACH couldn't have looked much better in her last two efforts against NW30000L5's and kept Austin Siegelman tonight over a mare he just won the Open with earlier this month. (7) RACINE BELL couldn't seal the deal in the lane on July 1 and had to settle for second. She may have "bounced" off that world record mile at the Meadowlands on 6-19 and could easily get back on the winning track here. (6) IMPRINCESSGEMMA A is the one who chased down Racine Bell, and she's been absolutely vicious in her last three tries. Jordan Stratton gets the live pick-up drive with Siegelman opting off. Race 8 - NW4/50000LT Trot (2) BREEZING PRAYER switches pilots to Stratton and moves back to an inside post tonight. This looks like a pretty wide-open NW4 race, so I'll look for a price. (3) CHERRY RED gets another chance with driver Dan Dube tonight after he finished second with him in the bike two weeks ago. This 4-year-old did beat NW4's at Pocono back in May. (4) REEL EM IN owns a runner-up finish and a third-place result since coming in from Monticello and has missed the board just once in his last seven trips behind the gate. Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 Pace (3) APRIL AVA hails from the ever-dangerous Ron Burke barn and has been strong in the corresponding classes to this one in Pennsylvania. (4) SLICK ARTIST A owns four straight wins, including two straight at this level. She does go for a new trainer tonight as Andrew Adamczyk claimed her on 7-1. (7) STONEBRIDGE SOUL won two back at the Meadowlands but is just two-for-24 in the win column the last two years, and she's not the type of horse I would recommend at a potentially low price. Race 10 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/NW10 Pace (4) I'M VERY SPECIAL hit the board in three straight between Yonkers and Pocono and then was a good fourth at the Meadowlands on 6-26, finishing with a final quarter in 25 2/5. (2) BOLT OF BEAUTY ships over from Tioga on a hot streak in their F&M Open. She has plenty of history racing on half-mile tracks since she's New York-sired, so the change in venue doesn't bother me much, especially with an inside post. (1) MONICA GALLAGHER was in the Open she was last seen at Yonkers and is now in the Travis Alexander barn. She hasn't made a pari-mutuel start since back in late May, so I will attempt to beat her. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 11 - NW6/75000LT Trot (1) TURBOCHARGEDPETE should be very happy not to see Bluffinner in this race as he's had to settle for second to him the last two times he's raced. He landed another inside post, and I'll look for him to take advantage. (4) FOCUS POCUS makes his Yonkers debut having hit the board in his last three at Harrah's Philadelphia, including a win a couple weeks ago. He has a lot of half-mile track experience from racing on the Pennsylvania Fairs circuit as a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old. (2) MOON BRIDGE changed barns to Juan Cano's recently and won for him at first asking at Pocono. I thought he raced competitively at the Meadowlands prior to that, as well, and I will include. Race 12 - F&M NW30000L5 Pace (4) TAKE ABITOF LIFE checked in third in a race won by Siesta Beach on July 1. Since I'm picking Siesta Beach on top in the Open on this card, I'll give this one a shot here. (5) SHE'S NUN BETTOR N looks like the probable favorite as she exits a runner-up finish at the Meadowlands. She hasn't raced on a half-mile oval since coming to the U.S., but since she's in the Burke barn, you have to assume that won't be a problem. (3) ROCKN PHILLY was extremely hot back in May and June but has found this level a bit deep. She does get away from Siesta Beach here, and picks up an aggressive driver in Joe Bongiorno with George Brennan handling She's Nun Bettor N.
