MEET STATS: 139- 502 / $882.60 (-$121.40) BEST BETS: 25 - 49 / $125.00 (+$27.00) SPOT PLAYS: 7 - 49 / $88.40 (-$9.60) BEST BET - MOM'S POINT (2nd) SPOT PLAY - WESTERN NOB (10th) Race 1 - New York Sire Stakes 2YO Filly Pace (4) THE LAST MARTINI comes south from Canada off two pretty good qualifiers in Ontario and lands in a barn that's sending out plenty of live horses right now, especially in 2-year-old races. (5) SEND IT DOWN SLIM has a win and a third in the sire stakes thus far and I would expect aggressive tactics will be coming again tonight. (2) CHANCEOFLIGHTNING was second to SEND IT DOWN SLIM at Buffalo and then had no chance last time out at Monticello from a bad post. She moves in on the gate here and kept Jordan Stratton in the bike. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - New York Excelsior "A" Series 2YO Filly Pace (1) MOM'S POINT tallied in her division of the Excelsior "A" Series at Monticello and adds Yannick Gingras to the equation tonight from the pole. (3) CERVI just missed by a head at Monticello on July 1 and looks usable again. I'd expect a better price than the 1-5 she was last time out, too. (5) BULVILHIGHONMAGGIE finished second at Buffalo and then closed well in a fourth-place effort at Monticello. She has a driver switch to Scott Zeron here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - Invitational Trot All three of (7) HILLEXOTIC's wins this year have come in the Invitational at Yonkers, and even though he drew the far outside, I can't see Gingras taking back to last. (6) INCOMMUNICADO won last week's Invitational Trot handily from first-over and probably has some room for more improvement given this is just his third start of 2024. (4) NOWS THE MOMENT couldn't hold off INCOMMUNICADO a week ago but his early speed always makes him dangerous and he's drawn inside what look to be the other logicals in here. Race 4 - New York Excelsior "A" Series 2YO Filly Pace (1) CLASSY PATRIOT didn't show a ton in her Gaitway Farm baby races, but she goes for Gingras, who didn't drive her either time at Gaitway, and Ron Burke from the pole against a field that doesn't look overly imposing, so I'll swing with this her. (5) SEAFOOD CC gained spots and ground in the last quarter of her Excelsior division to finish third and could definitely improve off that in her second lifetime outing. (4) IDYLLIC WALK dropped several seconds from her first baby race to her second and now comes east from The Meadows into Erv Miller's barn. Race 5 - NW20000L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/60000CLM Trot (6) LOS BALLYKEELAMIGO gets a switch to a catch driver this week after being driven by an amateur last Thursday, and I think he's worth a shot in the hopes his run of recent form stays intact. (5) WARRIOR ONE couldn't deliver on the front-end on 6-27 but won in this class prior to that and has owner Gingras in the bike again. (3) HAND DOVER DAN broke last week but was a good second prior to that and gets reunited with Tyler Buter here. Buter also took him over my top selection. Race 6 - New York Excelsior "A" Series 2YO Filly Pace (5) BACKDOOR COVER slides down from the top sire stakes level to compete in the Excelsior "A" Series for the first time and also gets Jordan Stratton back in the bike. (3) COURTLY MAIDEN has a similar profile to stablemate Mom's Point from race two as she was victorious in an Excelsior "A" Series division at Monticello and now switched pilots to Gingras. (1) THE PERFUME came in third in her debut at Monticello and has Jason Bartlett at the controls again from post one. Race 7 - New York Sire Stakes 2YO Filly Pace (5) SHES A STREAKER flew home in 25 and change to finish second to a good-looking filly named Ascendance at the Meadowlands on 6-28, and I'll put her on top tonight in the hopes that kind of speed transitions to the half-mile track. (1) COWGIRL HANOVER is two-for-two in the sire stakes thus far and starts from the pole, making her even more dangerous. (3) BLIND DATE HANOVER steps up from the Excelsior "A" Series but tallied easily at Monticello and trainer Travis Alexander continues to have an excellent meet. Race 8 - New York Excelsior "A" Series 2YO Filly Pace (7) CALAMITY HOUR drew the outside but exits the top sire stakes level and took a lot of wagering support in her career debut at Buffalo before finishing third following a break. Tyler Buter drove her to a win in her second baby race at Pocono and hops back aboard tonight. (5) ON CLOUD WINE returns on a quick turnaround after winning a Landmark division at Goshen Historic Track on Sunday (July 9). She has a win and a second in the Excelsior "A" Series thus far. (6) BULVILLKIDUNOTEDNA has finished second twice in the Excelsior "A" Series and is getting a driver switch to Zeron this time. Race 9 - F&M Invitational Trot (4) PERFECT VIXEN impressed me with a strong second-place finish last Thursday. She hails from a high-percentage stable, and I'll hope she's handled aggressively again. (7) TIPSY MONI held on to defeat my top pick a week ago despite an extended two-wide journey to get to the lead. She's been pretty much unbeatable in this class all year and gets co-owner Gingras back in the seat tonight. (5) JULIA SISU S has hit the board in three straight outings, including a victory in the F&M Invitational Trot on June 20. Race 10 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (6) WESTERN NOB had pace in the final quarter in his Yonkers debut last week, gaining spots and ground in the last quarter. He moves in a couple of notches on the gate after starting from the eight-hole in that race and gets a driver switch to George Brennan. (4) SURFRIDER defeated NW1 company at Yonkers in his first outing for Alexander on July 2 and I could see additional improvement coming here. (2) EURO STEP went off at a surprising 14-1 last Thursday and won. He won't offer the same value tonight, but I could definitely see him performing well again. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11 - 3-5YO 20000CLM Pace (6) FADE TO LIGHT faces age-restricted $20,000 claimers here after facing open $20,000 claming foes in three of his last four outings. He was second two back and I'll just draw a line through his last outing as it was from the eight-hole. Perhaps most importantly, he adds Jason Bartlett in the bike tonight. (5) CELLMATE takes a second crack at this class after finishing a closing third last Thursday. He switches drivers to Jordan Stratton this time. (4) CHIEF CORLEONE hasn't been able to get to the winner's circle yet in 2024 but was the runner-up in the same event CELLMATE exits from a week ago. Race 12 - 40000CLM Trot (6) ROGER RABBIT hasn't been outside the top two since joining trainer Scott Di Domenico's barn, and I think he'll offer the best value out of the logical contenders in this race. (4) CANTKEEPMIASECRET has also been racing very well outside of her one miscue on 6-20. She won in this class a week ago. (2) INFINITY STONE owns that romping 11 length win in a $40,000 claimer back on June 6 and switches drivers to Bartlett this time.
