MEET STATS: 82 - 356 / $596.40 (-$115.60) BEST BETS: 22 - 34 / $98.50 (+$30.50) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 34 / $32.10 (-$35.90) BEST BET - MISSISSIPPI STORM (8th) SPOT PLAY - JK MIKI MANTLE (1st) Race 1 - NW5000L5 who are NW Last 3 Starts / 12500CLM Pace (4) JK MIKI MANTLE gained ground in a third-place finish against NW7500L5 foes at Yonkers last Thursday and drops to the bottom level here. He shows a win in a similar class to this one at Pocono on 3-22. (1) WICHITA LINEMAN has been facing $25,000 and $20,000 claimers, so this should be a softer spot and he moves in on the gate from post eight to the pole position. (3) SPORTY M THREE hasn't done much in his last five starts but faces NW5000L5 company for the first time and slides in a couple of notches on the gate. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3-6YO 30000CLM Pace (1) HIGH ON ROCKNROLL owns just one on-the-board result in his last seven tries but moves from post six to the pole position and comes off a mile where he had a strong final quarter. (3) HAMMERING HANK was a gaining second to a sharp foe in an open $30,000 claimer last Thursday and faces age-restricted company tonight. (4) TO THE HUNT qualified well at Pocono on May 7 for his return to action and was third the last time he was seen at this level in January. Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (4) QUALITY BUD enters off a third in a NW10000L5 event on May 5 and gets further class relief tonight. He also has a driver switch to Yannick Gingras. (5) GAMBLINGTERROR won the last time he faced NW7500L5 company at Yonkers on 3-18 and has been facing tougher company since then. (1) WALKINSHAW N just missed a week ago and does own a victory at this level back on the 24th of March. Race 4 - 30000CLM Pace I think (5) OZONE BLUE CHIP finished third last week behind two horses would be heavily-favored in this race tonight, and since neither one of them is in here, I'll give him top call. (3) SAN DOMINO A hikes up from the $25,000 claimers but does so with two wins and two seconds in his last four outings. (1) ALTA CLASSIC A comes in from Plainridge where he was facing the likes of the classy Fourever Boy most recently. He had a third and a victory prior to that last try and starts from post one. Race 5 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (2) POP IT was favored in this class last time but had to settle for third. I think that'll boost his value tonight, and he gets a new driver with George Brennan taking over. (4) LUCKBEWITHALEX scored in a NW5000L5 event a couple of weeks ago and missed by just a neck at this level prior to that. (5) ORLANDO BLUE A keeps knocking on the door but hasn't been able to break through with a win recently. I'll include underneath here. Race 6 - 40000CLM Trot (4) PC FREE WHEELING looked like she might be coming back into form last week as she closed with trot and gained ground. She slides in a couple of slots on the gate tonight off that effort, and I'll use her on top. (1) BROOKVIEW DARIUS gets significant post relief as he moves in from the seven-hole to the pole position, and it wasn't all that long ago that this horse was one of the best in this class. (3) AUSTRAL HANOVER is a wild card as he makes a lot of breaks but has shown the ability to win at this level, too. I'll toss him in underneath. Race 7 - NW31371L5 / NW13 PM Races LT / 75000CLM Trot (5) KHAOSAN ROAD qualified fine at the Meadowlands for his 2025 debut here. He won in this class on Halloween of last year and Dan Dube often does well with these Ake Svanstedt trainees. (3) BLACK MAGIC got the job done in this class last Thursday when he dropped out of the Invitational and gets to take another crack at it tonight. (1) BUSY MAKING MONI never really got involved a week ago after a nice run through the John Brennan Trotting Series. He does get post relief tonight, and I'll look for a better effort. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8 - NW20000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/60000CLM Trot (1) MISSISSIPPI STORM closed out his mile last week with lots of trot and drops here. He also moves in on the gate from post five to the pole position and was Brent Holland's choice. (6) INFINITY STONE raced off-the-pace from a poor draw a week ago, which could have him primed for a more aggressive approach tonight, especially with Gingras in the bike. (4) SOUTHWIND ARTURO has hit the board in five of his six tries since he returned to action and defeated NW15000L5's at Yonkers two back. Race 9 - 40000CLM Trot (6) OVER AND BACK is now up to four straight victories and meets up with a group here that he can beat as well. (2) HOT FLASH KIMMY racked up another on-the-board finish last week and gets to move in a couple of slots on the starting gate tonight. (1) WARRAWEE XALT should have picked up some confidence with a victory over NW7500L5's foes on May 2. His tendency against $40,000 has been to go to the front and then fade, but I think he can finish in the trifecta.
