Race 1 - NW4/50000LT / NW2/25000LT Drawn Inside Trot

(2) FOUR UNDER PAR was a good second in her one start here last December against NW4's and qualified well enough at Pocono on 3-16 that she should be ready. (5) BY A HOFF HANOVER knows his way to the winner's circle as he has 13 career victories and has a barn change to Mark Ford. (7) JESSIES OUTLAWED should be tighter tonight after making his first pari-mutuel start of 2022 last Thursday. He got on a nice roll at Yonkers to close out 2021.

Race 2 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(7) BRIAR closed with a 27 second last quarter at the Meadowlands on 3-18 from well off-the-pace and got interfered with in the stretch, too. There's a chance she could be too far back again as she drew poorly, but she catches a pretty suspect group, and I'll take a shot. (1) SILVER TAIL flashed strong speed at the Meadowlands back in January and could certainly employ that tactic tonight from the pole position. (5) SLICK ARTIST A has a third and a second in her last two outings in this class.

Race 3 - 30000CLM Pace

(7) MAJESTIC KIWI N is now with Jeff Gillis after being claimed on March 22. That barn is sending out plenty of live horses right now, and I believe he'll improve tonight. (1) MARINER SEELSTER enters with back-to-back runner-up finishes at this level and has another inside draw here. Joe Bongiorno is not competing on the card, so Austin Siegelman picks up the live call. (2) SWEET N FAST N was second the last time he faced $30,000 claimers on 2-21 and was plagued by bad draws when he was at the $40,000 level.

Race 4 - NW6/75000LT / NW4/50000LT Drawn Inside Trot

(1) SOUTHERN SWAN MAN rallied into the lead off cover a week ago but looked like he came up short in the stretch as he was overtaken by horses from behind. I suspect he'll be sharper in his second start off the bench tonight and merits another shot. (2) HEARTOFGOLD DE VIE hasn't really had much of a shot to show what she's capable of as she's drawn outside or been coming off breaks. She has a good post tonight and could be closer to the action. (5) QUEEN OF ALL was second in the Indiana Sires Stakes final for 3YO trotting fillies last year and was the runner-up versus NW6's in one try at Yonkers on December 9. She turned in a strong comeback qualifier over at Pocono, rallying from off-the-pace and into slow fractions to win.

Race 5 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace

(6) BETTOR LADY didn't have a chance to get involved from post eight a couple of weeks ago but doesn't have to contend with that draw tonight and also drops a level. (4) BABS JANSEN also has the improved post/class relief combination working for her. She just missed by a nose and a head two and three back against NW10000L5's. (7) CORAL BELLA turned in an improved effort on March 17 and continues to work her way down the ladder here.

Race 6 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 PM Races LT Pace

(5) DEMETER N romped to a facile win in this class on March 17 and raced well last week from post eight against better, rallying from eighth to fifth in the last quarter from the outside draw. (2) WESTBEACH lured Jason Bartlett off my top pick and was a good third a week ago after doing the first-over work against the in-form Violet's Rainbow. (6) GINGER TREE LIZ downed NW6's two back and then gained spots and ground in the final quarter last Thursday at this level. I'll toss her on the ticket.

Race 7 - F&M NW21650L5/30000CLM/NW10 PM Races LT Pace

(5) TECHYS ANGEL A delivered against NW15000L5's in her U.S. debut last Thursday, and I believe she's capable of handling the step up in class. (7) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A had something go wrong on 3-18 in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series but qualified fine down at Freehold on March 25 and showed the ability to top NW30000L5's here on the 24th of February. (3) SPORTS FLIX picked up a confidence-building victory over NW15000L5's a couple of weeks ago and was third at this level prior to that.

Race 8 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 PM Races LT Pace

(1) MACZAFFAIR N might have needed that start a week ago as she hadn't made a pari-mutuel start since back in late January. She drops a level, has another inside post, and has had success at Yonkers before. (2) BETTERB CHEVRON N is a horse I've sworn off picking for wins, but I have to admit her last two miles have been outstanding, and Lance Hudson's barn has definitely heated up after a slow start to the year. (6) ANDRA DAY won two back but then gave way on the front-end in a subsequent effort. I do think this is a softer group than she faced off with last time out.

Race 9 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(1) BYE BYE MICHELLE appears to be in kind of a "now-or-never" situation tonight as she drops down to the bottom level and has another inside post. I have to think she'll be on the lead or in the pocket at worst. (4) MALNIFICENT will probably be the favorite here as she slides down after finishing second in a NW7500L5 race last Thursday. (2) COLOR ENVY makes her fourth start back off the bench tonight and has worked her down to the NW5000L5 class.
