MEET STATS: 53 - 187 / $314.30 (-$59.70) BEST BETS: 11 - 18 / $43.50 (+$7.50) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 18 / $34.00 (-$2.00) BEST BET-PAT STANLEY N (11th) SPOT PLAY-ZLATAN (7th) Race 1 - NW5881L5/12500CLM Pace (8) CENTURY INSPECTOR starts from the outside but meets up with a rather formless group here in his first local attempt against NW5000L5 foes and did show the ability to get a check against NW15000L5's earlier this month. (4) WAR DAN DELIGHT got into this race by a dollar as he has $5,880 earned in his last five starts and was third against NW7500L5 company most recently. (5) VEL LETSROLL SOUTH has hit the board in both of his tries against NW5000L5 foes since coming over from the Meadowlands. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - Invitational Handicap Trot (5) PAPPARDELLE got his first start of 2024 under his belt last Thursday and finished up his mile with some trot. Let's expect some improvement tonight and give him another try. (6) TIPSY MONI is on a lengthy win streak that includes a tally in last week's Invitational. Jason Bartlett is going to fill in for co-owner Yannick Gingras this time. (3) I GET IT was second to TIPSY MONI in the Invitational a week ago and was also sharp in the top class down at Dover before that. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (1) WORLD FOR TWO gets significant post relief this week after starting from the seven-hole in his gaining fifth-place finish last Thursday. (2) BIG DREAM FELLA has two straight wins in this class and five straight top-three results overall. He has new connections this time as he was claimed by trainer Dennis Laterza and his owners a week ago. (5) COLD CREEK FELIPE grabbed a third in the event won by BIG DREAM FELLA last week and makes his second start back off a qualifier tonight. Race 4 - Winners Over 30000L5/125000CLM/NW30000L5 Drawn Inside Trot (6) TACHYON broke last week but was very sharp prior to that, including a second-place finish in the Invitational on 3-14. I'll hope he's back on his best behavior tonight and put on top. (3) CREDIT CON should have picked up some confidence with a facile win in a NW20000L5 tilt a week ago, and he's shown the ability to race and win at higher levels at Yonkers in the past. (2) B NICKING has four straight top-three results, including a win on the 7th of March. He has an inside post for the first time since back in early February tonight. Race 5 - 40000CLM Trot (1) PC FREE WHEELING finds a much more reasonable spot tonight than the NW20000L5 or NW15000L5 classes she's been racing in so far in 2024 and gets post relief to go with it. (6) FLIP THE SWITCH is probably the one to beat again as he's taken three straight at this level. This is a negative post change, though, so I will attempt to beat him at what will probably be low odds. (3) STEUBEN HANOVER gave it one try against optional $60,000 claiming company last Thursday and now returns to the $40,000 claimer where he's had plenty of success this year. Race 6 - NW20000L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/60000CLM Trot (7) GAELIHILL drew poorly here but was very good in a runner-up effort in his first start of 2024 at the Meadowlands on 3-16. The horse that he was second to, Betterinpinehurst, came back to win at the Meadowlands again on March 23. (2) EPOS OSTERVANG DK gets some post relief tonight and was a good second to the classy and well-meant Credit Con at this level last Thursday. (1) LIGHTFOOTED LEGEND moves up from the $40,000 claimers, but does so off a win and hasn't been outside the top three in four appearances so far this year. Race 7 - NAADA Amateur Spring Series Leg #3 Trot (5) ZLATAN hasn't won in a long time but gets post relief after two bad draws here and at the Meadowlands and picks up one of the top amateur drivers in Tony Beltrami. Let's see if he can end the drought. (4) ITSONEOFTHOSE shows a third and a second in his last two attempts in the Open over at Monticello, and I would think that kind of class would make him one of the top contenders in here. (2) PSALMSFORTYSIXFIVE hasn't been outside of the exacta in six efforts in 2024 and was second in a division of this amateur series a week ago. Race 8 - F&M Invitational Trot (4) IMA DIAMOND BABE has been racing well against tough open company over at Pocono and has shown the recent ability to win both on the lead and from off-the-pace. I'll give her a chance from a mid-pack post with the logical ones drawn outside. (8) HELPOFTHESEASON owns back-to-back second-place finishes in this class and starts from post eight. I think she might still be the favorite, but is perhaps vulnerable given the poor draw and her lack of wins thus far in 2024. (6) QUEEN OF ALL tallied at this level back on 2-22 and has been out of the top three just twice in eight trips behind the gate in her 6-year-old campaign. Race 9 - NAADA Amateur Spring Series Leg #3 Trot (2) PAPPY GO GO didn't fire last time out at the Meadowlands but picked up checks against NW7500L4 and NW5000L4 company three and four starts back, and any kind of repeat of that effort from an inside draw would make him a contender. (7) LA MAGIC has a tough post but won from the six-hole at Freehold on 3-16 and has Beltrami in the bike. (8) SHOEMAKER HANOVER makes his second start of 2024 tonight. He drew the eight-hole tonight, which complicates matters, but was very sharp to conclude last year and was a gaining third on March 23 at Freehold in his first effort this season. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (3) THREE GRAND drops out of the NW10000L5 class, and I will bank on that, plus some post relief, getting him going the right direction again tonight. (1) WINDSUN RICKY has a post relief/class drop combo here and was second in a NW7500L5 tilt on March 11. (6) BENHOPE RULZ N takes a second crack against NW7500L5 company after finishing a good second to a heavy favorite last Thursday. Race 11 - 30000CLM Pace (5) PAT STANLEY N had to settle for fifth as the favorite in his last race on 3-18 but won in this class in February and gets reunited with Matt Kakaley tonight. I think he could also offer a better price here after the dull-ish effort most recently. (3) MAXIMUS RED A has two wins and a second in his last three tries at this level and was claimed by trainer Vicki Stratton out of his last appearance on March 18. (1) MACHEASY A picked up a check against $40,000 claimers in his return to Yonkers on the 18th of March and drops down a notch on the ladder tonight.
