MEET STATS: 37 - 176 / $221.90 (-$130.10) BEST BETS: 11 - 17 / $44.80 (+$10.80) SPOT PLAYS: 2 - 17 / $23.80 (-$10.20) BEST BET-SIP OF BOURBON (1st) SPOT PLAY-ROCKME ROLLME (7th) Race 1 - 3-6YO 20000CLM Pace (3) SIP OF BOURBON came up just a nose short of victory in his debut in this class last week and I'll go back to him here. (4) METAMAN has hit the board in three straight outings, including a third at this level a week ago. This driver/trainer combination has been doing well together as of late also. (2) CLEVELAND B MIKI struggled from the eight-hole on February 27 but has been sharp other than that and enters off a victory last Thursday. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - NW5000L5 who are NW L3 Starts / 12500CLM Pace (6) CYRUS N hasn't been making much of an impact lately but does take another shot at the bottom level off a race where he did finish up in 28 and change and gets Jason Bartlett back in the bike. (4) CHANTEE appeared like he had pace in the stretch last week but lacked room to go with it. He moves inside on the gate tonight and gets another chance to face NW5000L5 foes. (1) FIZZING N has back-to-back thirds in this class and battled gamely on the front-end last week. He slides in from the four-hole to the pole position this time. Race 3 - NAADA Spring Fling Series Leg 1 Trot (1) ALEXANDER doesn't have a great win record in his career but I think he's been facing tougher, starts from the pole and adds Tony Beltrami. (2) ITSONEOFTHOSE romped in the final of the winter series for the amateurs, making up for a couple of times during the prelims he got disqualified. He moves in a couple of slots on the gate here and is probably the one they'll have to beat. (3) HOBBS slides in from the eight-hole to post three and performed well in the winter series when he had inside draws. Race 4 - 40000CLM Trot (6) OVER AND BACK trotted just evenly off cover last week but makes his second start for Per Engblom tonight and I'll bank on him being better this time. (3) AIRMANS JACKPOT comes in with four straight top-two finishes and owns a win in this class on 2-27. (5) INFINITY STONE has a second and a pair of thirds in his three efforts at this level since he returned to action in January and doesn't have to face a sharp foe named Be Different this time. Race 5 - 3-6YO 20000CLM Pace (7) THAT DOG WILL HUNT turned in another strong effort last week as he cut the mile and wound up second. He was claimed again out of that race and gets a chance with Gingras at the controls. (6) SOUTH POINT is also sharp as he hasn't been outside the exacta in eight starts so far in 2025 and drops after he finished second against open $20,000-$25,000 claiming handicap company a week ago. (5) LYONS TREACHEROUS hit the board against NW2 and NW4 types out of town in his last two tries, though he does enter this event off a scratch. Race 6 - NAADA Spring Fling Series Leg 1 Trot (5) SHOEMAKER HANOVER owns a bunch of recent trip or post position excuses. He drew mid-pack tonight, and I'll hope he's put in play like he was back in late January in that second-place finish. (3) BEERTHIRTY K looks like he'll be the one to beat in here as he's been facing much tougher foes and landed a good post. (4) BIG CHARLIE MORAN got parked in one winter series appearance on 1-30 but was favored in that event. He exits the NW5000L5 level and was second back on 2-21. Race 7 - NW8091L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace I'm not in love with anybody in here so I'll take a shot with (3) ROCKME ROLLME as he returns out of some tougher claiming classes over at Pocono and gets a chance with Gingras from a good draw. (4) SHAZAM BLUE CHIP looks like he'll be a big favorite in here but he really had every chance to win a couple of weeks ago at 4-5 and was defeated. (1) TROOPER L has hit the board in three of four outings out of town and starts from the pole position. Race 8 - F&M Invitational Trot (5) COUNTRY MAMMA won in impressive fashion last week in her debut for these connections, and while this does look like a big class hike, she does face only mares instead of open company. (6) PC FREE WHEELING has been racing well in the F&M Invitational since the claim and doesn't have to face the stout Tipsy Moni this time. (7) GOLDEN RAIN S had one poor result at the Meadowlands on 2-1 but has been racing well other than that since coming to the U.S. and returns to Yonkers off another victory at Pocono. Race 9 - NW21351L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5 / NW10 PM Races LT / 60000CLM Trot (1) DONATO PATRIOT K double-drops out of the Invitational in his third start back after a layoff, and I'll look for him to be ready to fire at his best here. (3) BLACK MAGIC steps up from the NW15000L5s but has two victories and a second in his last three outings between here at the Meadowlands. (4) TEXSONG SOPRANO had to settle for third as the favorite at this level a week ago. If you are willing to go back to him on top here, you should get a better price off that effort. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10 - NW5000L5 who are NW L3 Starts / 12500CLM Pace (4) SAMHARA N closed with a bunch of pace from last a week ago and moves in on the gate from post seven to the four-hole tonight. (3) STAY GROUNDED gets a driver switch to Scott Zeron here and was facing NW15000L5's when last seen at Yonkers in December of last year. (1) CAVIART SARGENT starts from the pole position and was second to a well-meant favorite at this level last Thursday. Race 11 - 40000CLM Trot (7) BE DIFFERENT moves out on the gate but has won three in-a-row and hopefully he can keep it going tonight. (3) BROOKVIEW DARIUS hasn't been outside the exacta in five straight tries and won in game fashion from first-over last Thursday. (1) INTL BLOCKADE came in fourth in the event taken by BROOKVIEW DARIUS a week ago and starts from the pole position here.
