Race 1 - NW8/100000LT Trot
(1) BELIEVER won here impressively on December 15 and comes into this race off a third-place finish from post six a week ago. Tonight he has the rail and should be back to being more forwardly-placed. (4) YOU WILL BE QUEEN tossed in a bit of a clunker last week, fading to finish fifth, but she had been very good prior to that and is certainly a candidate to rebound. (2) ONEMORESWAN has a third and a fourth in this class since coming south from Saratoga and picks up the hot hands of Matt Kakaley this time.

Race 2 - NW4/50000LT / NW2/25000LT Drawn Inside Trot
(1) PEACEFUL MISSION NO qualified well enough at the Meadowlands for her U.S. debut here. Trainer-driver Trond Smedshammer was very aggressive from an outside post with this horse's older sister last week, so I have to think he'll adopt a similar strategy from the pole with this one. (2) JOE EXOTIC debuts for high-percentage connections after coming in second in his first start of 2022 at the Meadowlands. (6) GRAFENBERG has hit the board in two of his last three efforts at this level, and I'll include him underneath.

Race 3 - F&M NW10175L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace
(2) COOLNCALCULATING N didn't have much of a shot last Thursday from post eight, but she got significant relief in the draw this time, and her victory two back was quite good. (5) VELOCITY MCSWEETS was victorious against NW7500L5's after a pocket trip a week ago, and it's difficult to overlook any horse Travis Alexander is sending out right now. (1) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX was not Jason Bartlett's pick in this race, but I'll use given her closing effort behind a well-meant winner on 1-13, and the fact that trainer Dennis Laterza is having a strong start to 2022.
Race 4 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 PM Races LT Pace
(5) NO WIN NO FEED A will get another shot from me this week as she was a good second to an Open-type mare in Jody last Thursday. She also gets to slide down from the NW20000L5's. (1) PRAY THE ROSARY closed well to finish third in the same race my top pick comes out of, and she landed the pole to aid her chances. (4) MALNIFICENT steps up from the NW10000L5's, but does so off a rallying second and is another Laterza horse with some sharp form right now.
Race 5 - NW4/50000LT Trot
(2) LADY ANN NO is the Smedshammer horse I referred to earlier that he sent to the front from post eight in her first start in the U.S. last Thursday. She got an inside slot tonight, should be much tighter, and I'll place her on top. (5) MNEMONIC owns back-to-back second-place finishes, and that's where I will put her again tonight. She was good behind a well-rated winner a week ago. (7) KEEPER OF SECRETS got the nod from Bartlett over two others despite the outside draw. I respect that pick and will have him underneath.
Race 6 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace
(5) DBLDELITEBRIGADE N double-drops out of the NW15000L5's in her second start of 2022 and gets a shot with Jordan Stratton. (2) SLY ELEANOR N made it look very easy with a romping victory over bottom level foes a week ago. As mentioned already, you can't discount Alexander's horses right now. (1) ROBYN CAMDEN continues to work her down the ladder here. She was fourth versus NW15000L5's and NW10000L5's, but this might be the class that she's been looking for.
Race 7 - F&M NW30000L5/F&M NW20000L5 Drawn Inside Pace
(3) LA BELLA VITA N certainly looked the part over at the Meadowlands through the month of January and gives trainer Erv Miller another contender on the program to go with the likes of No Win No Feed A. (5) WESTBEACH hasn't had much of a chance to show her best lately as she's been in the Open and stuck with outside posts to boot. I wouldn't be surprised if she's much better tonight. (6) MAGICAL MISTRESS tried to leave a week ago but wound up getting parked. Trainer Ron Burke is sending out plenty of live horses whereever he competes right now, and I will put her on the ticket.
Race 8 - F&M Open Handicap Pace
(7) JODY made a break when she raced in the Open on 1-13 but bounced back with a hard-fought win against NW20000L5's last Thursday. I think she's an Open-caliber mare and will give her a shot. (3) DRAGON ROLL returned to her winning way in the Open last week and is a well-known commodity in this class at this point. (6) LIT DE ROSE was able to take the lead in the stretch from first-over but got tagged at the wire by Dragon Roll a week ago. I think she'll probably be looking to follow cover here.

Race 9 - NW6/75000LT Trot
(5) STORM BRINGER finished second in his first start for Burke on 1-13. I think he could be in-line for some improvement tonight and will swing. (3) AWESOME TRIX won pretty handily in this class a week ago and showed the ability to prevail on the front-end, which she hadn't done before. (7) BLANK SPACE AS has hit the board in five straight appearances and showed enough early foot to overcome post six and get well-positioned last Thursday.
Race 10 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(6) CHUPPAH ON came in second in her debut for trainer Tahnee Camilleri on January 13. Stratton remains the driver tonight, and she gets another shot verus bottom level foes. (1) WAKEMESHAKEME should get plenty of attention as she debut for Burke and moves in from post eight to the pole position. (5) SHELLIE DE VIE started in the Open as recently as November 4, so you have to think she's going to come to life this low on the class ladder.
