(4) PONDER THE ODDS seems to have rounded back into form with a third and a second in her last pair of appearances. (1) BYE BYE MICHELLE went off at 3-5 last Thursday but couldn't deliver despite a well-rated tempo. She gets reunited with Jim Marohn Jr. tonight, and he picked her over Ponder The Odds. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - F&M NW10050L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace (6) BABS JANSEN comes into this race off a sick scratch, but I think this class is softer than the NW6's or NW8's she has been facing, and it caught my attention that Kakaley stuck with her over two others. (2) PRAY THE ROSARY continues to make her way down the ladder and is probably about due to strike with a winning effort. (7) COUSIN MARY was in against some tough foes and had an equally rough trip at the Meadowlands on February 11. She has the hot combo of Jason Bartlett and Andrew Harris going for her, and I'll include. He's now two-for-two for trainer Edwin Quevedo, and even though he meets up with some NW4's tonight, none of them look that imposing. (5) JOE EXOTIC won two back and overcame an early break a week ago to get a check in a mixed NW4/NW6 event. (4) DUKE OF LINDY has shown the ability to hit the board against NW4's and gets an chance with Jordan Stratton here. Race 4 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 Pace (6) MAJOR BATTLE gets to drop a notch tonight, and she always comes with an honest effort. That was a strong 27 and change final quarter she turned in last week against tough foes. (2) LADYBELUCKYTONITE toured the oval from post eight last Thursday, but I'd expect her to be prominent here with post relief and a driver switch to George Brennan. (4) CHUPPAH ON hails from the high-percentage Tahnee Camilleri barn and gained spots and ground late after sitting on the cones a week ago. Race 5 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (1) TELL ME A JOKE finally landed an inside post here after four outside draws to begin 2022, and I'll bank on her showing more pep in her step. (5) SCANDALICIOUS gets out of the eight-hole in her second chance against bottom level foes, and she might be the one to beat. (2) CABOWABOCUTTIE made her way onto the ticket last Thursday like she often does. She hasn't won in forever, but I'd definitely include her underneath. Race 6 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/NW10 Pace (5) LUCKY ARTIST A was a strong second in a NW30000L5 race a week ago and gets to drop an additional level tonight. (4) IMPRINCESSGEMMA A also posted an excellent second-place result last Thursday, beating everybody except the razor-sharp Best Head West. This 8-year-old mare has had a lot of success at Yonkers in the past. (2) MCMARKLE SPARKLE delivered in her Yonkers debut last week, topping a group of NW15000L5's. Given her appearances in the Open class at Miami Valley, she probably isn't out of her element here. Race 7 - F&M NW16450L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 Pace (5) MAN DONTFORGET ME raced extremely well in her 2022 debut at the Meadowlands on 2-18, closing in 26 seconds to gain spots and ground in the last quarter. She had an excellent season at Yonkers last year and lured Bartlett off two others he just won with last week. (4) EASY TO PLEASE makes her first start of her 4-year-old campaign tonight. She was stout as a sophomore, winning five times and putting six figures in the bank. Her qualifer on February 12 at the Meadowlands (where she finished right behind my top pick) was very good. (3) MAGICAL MISTRESS was second-best after a pocket trip a week ago. She remains in the same class tonight and has the stout duo of George Brennan and Ron Burke behind her. Race 8 - F&M Open Pace (6) RACINE BELL started her 5-year-old season with a win at the Meadowlands on February 12 and is no stranger to the winner's circle at Yonkers either. I will go with her. (1) KARMA SEELSTER was the runner-up to Dragon Roll in the Open here a week ago. She should improve off that mile in her second try of 2022, has a great history on half-mile ovals, and gets reunited with Stratton. (3) ROCKN PHILLY owns two wins over NW30000L5's and a second against Open foes in her last three attempts and has demonstrated a versatile racing style to go with it. She's done that before and bounced right back, so I'll hope she can do that tonight and use. (5) LADY ANN NO steps up from the NW4 class but does so with two straight victories, and she's shown the ability to win both on the lead and from first-up. (2) AWESOME TRIX is also in search of a rebound here as she won impressively on 1-27 but then broke on February 3 and was scratched on 2-10. Race 10 - F&M NW30000L5 Pace (5) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A scored the last time she raced against NW30000L5's on 1-13, and I think she might get overlooked a little bit in this deep field. (6) MACHNHOPE hasn't won yet in 2022, but she hasn't missed the board either. Last year's Blue Chip Matchmaker Series champion is always capable. (1) MYSTICAL CARRIE gets to drop out of the Open for the first time in a while, and she won by open lengths in this class in mid-November of 2021.
