Race 1 - F&M NW5000L5 Pace

(5) ANNE BONNEY N gets a second shot at bottom level foes tonight and has significant post relief to go with it. She also gets another chance with Yannick Gingras in the bike. (4) E R HILARY rallied to finish second last week in a good effort and seems like she is getting along well with driver Jordan Stratton. (3) BROOKDALE JESSIE has started off her 6-year-old season with two straight third-place results, and I'm going to slot there tonight, too.

Race 2 - Open Handicap Trot

(5) HL REVADON is the "now" horse in the Open with two straight wins to begin 2023, and I will look for him to make it three here. (3) HEY LIVVY closed well from the back of the pack to finish second last week and her barn is off to a strong start to the year. (1) FLIP THE SWITCH loses Jason Bartlett tonight, but he comes in with a pair of on-the-board finishes in the Open and drew the pole again.

Race 3 - F&M NW5000L5 Pace

(6) LADYBELUCKYTONITE drops to this class after a speed try against NW7500L5's a week ago and meets up with a group she can handle with a good effort. (3) LOVE THAT SMILE takes on NW5000L5's for a second time and is back on a regular racing schedule after she was fourth in her first appearance of 2023 a week ago. (5) KATHY'S MOMENT makes her second start back after a layoff and trainer Scott Di Domenico is putting plenty of live horses on the track right now.

Race 4 - NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/NW9 PM Races LT Trot

(6) TOCCOA FALLS comes up from Freehold where he hit the board in four straight Preferred Handicaps. He gets reunited with Gingras and doesn't have to start from the eight-hole like he did the last time in New Jersey. (3) SHARE THE WEALTH won handily in this class two back and then couldn't get involved from post eight last week. He slides back inside on the gate here. (1) PROMISE FOR LIFE makes his third start out of the high-percentage Jared Bako barn tonight and was a solid second to the classy Kenziesky Hanover last Thursday.

Race 5 - NW4/50000LT Trot

(7) PENCILS DOWN has hit the board in six straight starts for trainer Jeff Cullipher, and I think the NW4's at Yonkers is probably a softer spot than the winners of two but non-winners of five class over at the Meadowlands. (6) SOUTHWIND ARTURO backed up his winning qualifier at Monticello with a victory over NW2's last Thursday. It looks like the trotting hobbles have definitely helped with his breaking issues. (4) SAID N DONE AS is on a long streak of top-three results and kept Bartlett over two others.

Race 6 - F&M NW10256L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(3) GOT SEXY SCARS exits a check-getting effort versus NW15000L5's on January 20 and gets reunited with Scott Zeron, who won with her on November 27 at Harrah's Philadelphia and 12-30 at the Meadowlands. (2) KICKUPYAHEELS N squeezed into this race by a dollar as she has $10,255 earned in her last five tries. That lets her move over from the $50,000 claimers, and she picks up Gingras. (1) MONEYMAKEHERSMILE just missed the board at this level last Thursday after coming in fourth and moves in from the six-hole to post one.

Race 7 - NW8/100000LT Trot

(2) OUTSIDE THE FIRE finished in a dead-heat for second against optional NW9 foes a couple weeks ago. He has post relief here off that performance and will be my choice. (6) MYCROWNMYKINGDOM ended 2022 in sharp form but hasn't been seen since December 22. He was Dan Dube's pick in here, so perhaps that's a clue. (5) FORREST miscued last Thursday but had won four straight prior to that and hails from the powerful Ron Burke barn.

Race 8 - NW20000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/NW15000L5 Drawn Inside Trot

(2) LEAN HANOVER went a long way on the lead before finishing second in a NW30000L5 event last Thursday and will get another chance from me as he drops down a level. (3) WESLYNN QUEST is the fastest female trotter ever on a half-mile oval by virtue of that 1:50 4/5 mark two years ago at Northfield. She finished out her mile on 1-22 at the Meadowlands with some interest. (4) WILLY WALTON comes out of the Open and has a driver switch to Bartlett.

Race 9 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(8) SPORTS FLIX showed speed against NW10000L5's last Thursday but couldn't clear and ended up getting parked. I take it as a positive sign she fired out, though, and she will have to again tonight. (1) ALWAYS BE TRUE had no shot from post eight a week ago but moves inside to the pole here and has been racing well out of town. (3) CORSINI A tallied over NW5000L5 on 1-19, and I'll include.
