Race 1 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(6) CHUPPAH ON picked up a confidence-boosting win against bottom level foes a week ago from off-the-pace, and I think she meets up with a group here that she can beat again. (1) CHECKERED PAST finally drew inside after having three poor starting spots to start 2022. I would not be surprised to see her close to the pace. (7) SHECANDANCE N drops out of the $50,000 claimers into a more reasonable spot, and I will include.

Race 2 - F&M NW30000L5 Pace

(4) SHES PUKKA N is back at Yonkers tonight after racing at Dover for the past several weeks. She has a strong history here and doesn't have to face Open foes. (5) LA BELLA VITA N had to settle for second as the odds-on favorite a week ago. Trainer Erv Miller is extremely hot right now, though, and she did win twice at the Meadowlands last month, so she's capable of getting the job done. (6) DELITFULCATHERIN N gets out of the Open this week and while drawn outside again, it's post six rather than the eight-hole.

Race 3 - NW6/75000LT Trot

(3) AWESOME TRIX regressed into a break last week, but that was over a sloppy track, so I can give her a pass for that. The weather forecast this Thursday looks much better, and she's a proven winner against NW6's. (2) BLANK SPACE AS slides inside on the gate this time and was second to Awesome Trix in this class two back. (1) STORM BRINGER was well-rated on the front-end a week ago but had to settle for second again. I'd expect him to be on or near the lead again from the pole position.

Race 4 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace

(4) FIGHTING EVIL exits the NW8 class and gets post relief to go with it. I thought she was "sneaky good" making up ground on the red-hot Bitty Bitty on 1-19, and I'll give her a shot. (1) DBLDELITEBRIGADE N went right down the road to keep up an overdue victory last Thursday. She has plenty of class to remain a contender at this level, especially from the pole and with Jordan Stratton in the bike again. (3) DANCE CLUB has the better post/class drop combo going in her favor in her second start of 2022. She was fourth in the Open as recently as 10-28, so I think she could be dangerous.

Race 5 - F&M NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/NW9 Pace

(1) BEST HEAD WEST rolled on the point against NW8's last Wednesday and is definitely capable of doing the same thing here. Notice that she already won at this level on 12-16. (3) EYE POPPING turned in a strong first-over effort a week ago to finish second against a well-meant winner, and pretty much everything trainer Ricky Bucci is sending out right now is racing well. (2) VELOCITY MCSWEETS enters this contest on a two-race win streak and also comes out of a live barn in Travis Alexander's.

Race 6 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/NW10/NW15000L5 Drawn Inside Pace

(4) MAJOR BATTLE rallied to finish second in her first start of 2022 at the Meadowlands on 1-21. She had a very good campaign a year ago, including multiple victories at Yonkers. (5) MY LAST BET is a newcomer to the high-percentage Gareth Dowse barn, which usually means the horse will be live. She also won her last attempt down at Dover. (6) NEVERFORGETWHOUR drops a level in her second try of the season and gets to team with Stratton. She's often a contender in this class.

Race 7 - NW2/31850LT Trot

(5) JOE EXOTIC was third in his debut for high-percentage connections last Thursday and drops out of the NW4 class. (1) PEACEFUL MISSION NO finished fourth in her first start in the U.S. a week ago, and I could see her being sharper and driven more aggressively tonight. (3) IDENTITY POLICE fits this expanded NW2 level by $30 and gets out of the eight-hole. I would imagine the connections will be keen to take advantage of this opportunity.

Race 8 - F&M Open Handicap Pace

(3) MYSTICAL CARRIE came up just a neck shy of winning the Open on 1-13 and is back at Yonkers tonight after racing at Dover most recently. Trainer Erv Miller keeps on sending out live horses, and hopefully this one is as well. (2) LIT DE ROSE has some post relief this week and won editions of the Open in both December and January. (7) DRAGON ROLL comes in with two straight victories at the top level and is definitely capable of overcoming the outside draw.

Race 9 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(6) TELL ME A JOKE overcame post eight to finish third in this class on 1-13 and may offer some value tonight. (3) YS TALLIA sharpened up her front-end speed last Thursday and came in third. She might be the one to beat based on that effort, but I'd be unwilling to accept a short price. (2) PONDER THE ODDS really needs a wake-up call and maybe it'll come here as she gets to drop back down to the bottom level.

Race 10 - NW4/50000LT Trot

(1) LADY ANN NO backed up her third-place finish in her U.S. debut on 1-27 with a romping win at this level last Thursday, and she drew inside again tonight. (3) STRIKING GENSON owns a second and a win in this class so far in 2022, with the victory coming a week ago. (7) PAINT BY NUMBERS invades from the Meadowlands and has a trainer change to Nancy Takter. I'll include.
