Race 1: $50,000 Claiming Trot
(1) FOR A DREAMER is a proven winner in this class and the move all the way inside should get him back over the top. (3) MYCROWNMYKINGDOM recently added hobbles and seems to be responding well. Trotter finished third last week from the eight hole at 66/1. (4) EMPEREURTHEBEST FR wasn't awful last week in a race where B Nicking won by three football fields.

Race 2: F&M Open Handicap Trot
There are two $32K Open trots on tonight's card, both five-horse affairs. Reminds me of participation trophies...everyone gets money! (4) ANDOVER CONTESSA returns from a stint at Plainridge now in the Rob Harmon barn and she was second in this class when last at Yonkers. (5) SMASHIN RACQUETS recently moved to the Burke barn and didn't make an impact in three races at The Meadows, however this outfit moves horses around masterfully to find winning spots. (2) ABBEY D was so-so in claimers; like the top choice she has a recent second in the Open.

Race 3: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(4) STATE SENATOR hasn't gotten the best of trips recently but he's much-improved in his last two and may be signaling at a return to top form. (2) ODDS ON PICK SIX has been a runner up in three of four. Good post, logical. (7) WORLD FOR TWO has won two in a row since arriving for the Laterza barn yet will still offer a price due to the outside post.
Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Trot
(2) PAPA DOC is a legit force when he stays trotting. Stratton picks up the drive tonight and maybe the fresh set of hands gets him on the right track. (4) SHEENA SOLDIER has hit the board in his last five and will be moving early with Holland. (6) HAT TRICK MARLEAU gets Bartlett after a pocket-pulling win last week; contender.
Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SHERIFF N is accustomed to facing better than these and the post improvement over last week's initial try at this level can get the veteran over the top. (4) OZONE BLUE CHIP has banked over $300K over the last two seasons so obviously the class is there, and much like the top one he figures to make a big impact here, but at a short price. (1) WON LAST FEELING draws the rail again off a failed speed try but I expect him to be stalking tonight.
Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) MISSISSIPPI STORM has won two straight on his march back to the Open level and I'm going to the well once more.(5) RATTLE MY CAGE is winless this year through 10 starts but the Svanstedt trainee has made over $250K by chasing all the top trotters. Fair warning, however, as he broke in his lone local appearance. (1) KINDA LUCKY LINDY has hit the board in three of his last four, all at balloon prices.
Race 7: Open Handicap Trot
(5) INCOMMUNICADO jogged from the pocket last start and the Svanstedt veterans are always ready to go. Dube gets the call again. (3) PAPPADRELLE has missed a little time for Bongiorno but he's been super. (4) NOWS THE MOMENT figures to leave in front of the top choice and if he makes the front and rates he could be trouble.
Race 8: $50,000 Claiming Trot
(1) STEUBEN HANOVER got his first win of the year last week after sitting the pocket to #8 in here; Burke trainee can trip out to double up. (8) EPOS OSTERVANG DK hasn't been slowed down by the outside posts recently and Bartlett will be firing tonight. (2) BRAVE BY DESIGN broke after leaving last week coming out of the same race as the top ones; He can do it effectively from off the pace and that's where we'll likely see him.
Race 9: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) BRUSHING UP easily went wire-to-wire from the rail two back and was stuck outside last week. DiDomenico trainee is logical moving back inside. (4) HURRIKANE GEORGIE goes for four in a row for the Laterza barn and she stays at the winning level. (2) POUND FOR POUND returns from Philly off a blowout score but his prior local start he quit on the lead, though it was facing better. Mixed feelings with this Oakes trainee.

Race 10: NW30000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) HERODOTUS missed a nose upon arrival then totally crushed last week; bump up in class shouldn't bother this 3YO. (3) SOUTHWIND ARTURO didn't fire his best shot last out but his prior two were strong upset scores. (6) EUROBOND has talent but is a bit inconsistent for my tastes.
Race 11: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) CHIEFS BEACH hit town last week and rallied crisply from the back to be second best at over 50/1. Tonight he gets post improvement and meets a dreary field with Bartlett picking up the drive. (7) AIR FORCE HANOVER drops to the basement and does have some speed; Dube is likely to be hustling the veteran out of there. (6) HE'S ELECTRIC pops up with a big effort from time to time.
