2024 MEET STATS: 418 - 1406 / $2,245.20 (-$566.80) BEST BETS: 58 - 126 / $206.00 (-$46.00) BEST BET: KHAOSAN ROAD (8th) SPOT PLAY: CONQUEST SEELSTER (5th) Race 1: NW8311 in last 5 starts Pace (3) THEBEAUDENBLUES N returned from a brief break in action and stormed home to beat lesser last week. Bump up in class shouldn't be a problem if he brings a repeat effort and note this barn had a solid winner the other night with A. Nap driving. (4) TWIN B DELUXE is a $100K winner already this season despite having not won in a while; Bako trainee drops in class and picks up Gingras. (1) ESCAPE TO AMERICA is a 3-year-old facing mostly more seasoned foes but the drop in class and move to the rail makes him a contender. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Trot (5) BLUEBIRD BISHOP raced well in his first start for these connections then broke last time out, which may help his price in here. Trotter is versatile giving new driver Brennan options. (1) PC FREE WHEELING wired a field of $40K claimers last out and draws the rail looking to repeat. Very logical contender. (2) MAHONE SEELSTER has raced well in his last four hitting the board every time; he should be right in the mix again. Race 3: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) CAPTAIN T HANOVER has been popular at the claim box recently and he goes back to the Watson barn yet again while staying in for the same price he's most effective at. He's likely in the pocket to #4 or perhaps even cutting the mile tonight. (4) LOUS THE ATTITUDE has been very consistent recently but he did lose last start at odds-on. (7) I AINT NO MACK has gone off 2/5 or shorter in each of his last five starts and last week's loss ended his winning streak; new barn, outside post, much better price here. Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace In a race devoid of any form, (3) EMINEM HANOVER was aggressively sent down the road last week in his local return but gave way late; prior starts were okay and maybe he's tighter after that speed effort. (5) SPRING BREAK as bet down to the favorite while facing better in his initial start for the Burke barn but he had little to offer; maybe he's better tonight. (4) REAL WILLEY is a $100K earner this year who hasn't picked up a check in over two months. Last week's effort when dropped to this lowest level was encouraging. Race 5: 3-5YO $20,000 Claiming Pace (1) CONQUEST SEELSTER is fresh stock for the DiDomenico barn arriving from Rideau Carleton in Canada where he's been on a nice form spree. Could he be ready to roll at first asking? (4) THAT DOG WILL HUNT has hit the board in his last four facing similar including two wins; Holland is back driving and the Laterza trainee figures to be a major player. (7) CLEVELAND B MIKI fits well in here, only problem is the post. Perhaps Lachance saves ground at the rear and can shake free to pick off a few. Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) VINNY DE VIE usually does his best work a level or two down but he lands a decent midpack post and figures to offer an honest price; veteran is capable with a live trip. (3) UNEVERGONNAGETHIS successfully dropped and popped last start, which was three weeks ago, however. Stratton/Gillis combo is always dangerous. (5) ALL STAR SWAN has been in raging form as she steps up again looking for four straight. Race 7: 3-5YO $20,000 Claiming Pace (1) OVER THE HORIZON has won four straight at this $20K level and faces a similar group from the rail. Likely to be the favorite despite a new driver (Marohn) getting the call. (4) LAZ blasted the field two back then faced too long of a trip last out when even-money out of the eight hole. Improved post makes him very dangerous. (3) SECTIONLINE RACER wasn't bad at a big price upon arrival from Monticello. Useful one to have on the bottom of the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: Invitational Trot (5) KHAOSAN ROAD is back at Yonkers after a failed try at Philly and he had been riding a four-race streak prior to that effort last start. Dube driving for Svanstedt clicks at a very high percentage. (2) PAPPARDELLE picked up a check in all four legs of the MGM Grand Prix series and was a winner when last in the Invite; Bongiorno trainee wins the "2 thru 8" draw. (8) KEG STAND is a legit talent returning from two wins in Dover's Open but is overcoming the eight hole too tall an order? Race 9: $40,000 Claiming Trot (4) WILLY WALTON was reclaimed again by Laterza and he's won his last two in that barn; to the front and may never look back. (2) UNFORGETTABLE beat the top one from off the pace last out; Engblom mare goes for three straight herself. (6) STEALING hasn't done much wrong since being claimed by these connections for less than half the tag he's currently in for; he'll be coming late.
