MEET STATS: 230 - 887 / $1,510.80 (-$263.20) BEST BETS: 38 - 86 / $170.20 (-$1.80) SPOT PLAYS: 15 - 87 / $195.60 (+$21.60) BEST BET - PRICELESS BEACH (3rd) SPOT PLAY - P L OSCAR (2nd) Race 1 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (7) HURRIKANE GEORGIE saw his win streak end last Thursday as he was parked out after trying for the front. I think he's worth a shot tonight as he obviously has great form and could offer an inflated price off the defeat and move outside on the starting gate. (3) ELM GROVE QWIGGLY takes a second shot at this class after finishing third most recently. He has post relief here as he moves in from the seven-hole to post three. (1) POUND FOR POUND turned in a dull effort on the 13th of November but has been performing very well other than that and goes for new connections off a claim. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 50000CLM Trot (6) P L OSCAR went a long way on the engine before finishing second in a NW15000L5 tilt on 12-1 and also just missed by a narrow margin the last time he raced in this class back on October 12. (7) FOR A DREAMER tallied last Thursday at this level but does move outside on the gate from the pole position to post seven. He was Jordan Stratton's choice of a pair in here. (2) MUFASA AS doesn't have great form but he sometimes fires in spots like this where he's drawn inside and the logical ones are stuck outside. I'll toss him in underneath and hope for an effort like the one back in late October where he was third. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (8) PRICELESS BEACH starts from post eight but found his form down at Harrah's Philadelphia in his last two tries and was racing in the Open here earlier this year. He gets a driver switch to Yannick Gingras, too. (4) POINTOMYGRANSON was not Gingras's choice but gets a second attempt in this class after just falling a nose short of a win on December 4. (1) WAR DAN DELIGHT N tallied at this level back on 10-12 and was second to a well-meant front-end winner last Wednesday. He gets reunited with Jason Bartlett tonight. Race 4 - NW21771L5/NW11 PM Races LT Trot (4) TACHYON slides down from the NW30000L5 class this week and gets George Brennan back in the bike. Brennan guided him to a third-place result two back and a victory on 10-20. (3) TIPSY MONI is two-for-two since coming into Per Engblom's barn and has co-owner Gingras at the controls again. (6) TORRONE exits a check-getting effort in the Open Handicap last Thursday and partners with Matt Kakaley for the second time. Race 5 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (8) BRONX SEELSTER shows no recent good form but finds the bottom level tonight and if he's ever going to turn it around, one has to think it could come here, even from the eight-hole. He was facing NW30000L5's when last seen at Yonkers in early October. (4) MAURIES BONUS A has a post drop/class relief combo here, though he lost Gingras to my top pick. Dan Dube will take over. (5) GINGRAS BEACH won the last time he was in a NW5000L5 dash back in late October. Race 6 - 50000CLM Trot (5) VEGAS TICKET is stepping up in value compared to his races out of town but he is very sharp and doesn't catch the toughest group of $50,000 claimers in this event. (1) HAT TRICK MARLEAU has hit the board in four of his last five starts, including a win in this class two back. He has Bartlett in the bike for the second time and moves inside from post six to the pole position. (7) MACMORRIS HANOVER probably finds a softer spot tonight than the NW15000L5's he's been dueling against here at Yonkers and down at Harrah's Philadelphia. I'll toss him in underneath. Race 7 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (4) ODDS ON PICK SIX lost all chance last week when he got trapped on the inside behind a tiring pace-setter. He had five on-the-board results in six starts prior to that, though, and gets reunited with Brennan tonight. (1) WORLD FOR TWO hasn't been outside the top three since mid-October and won two in-a-row at this level in November. (3) STATE SENATOR made a big move to the front in the second quarter last Thursday and wound up second in an improved performance. I'll throw him in underneath. Race 8 - Open Trot (2) HERODOTUS faces older horses as the lone 3-year-old in this race but has been rolling for trainer Jeff Cullipher and drew inside again. He also lured Bartlett off an Engblom trainee, which is a big vote of confidence (6) NOWS THE MOMENT just has to avoid miscues like he's made a couple of times and he'll be right in the hunt again like usual at the top level. (8) JUSTICE landed post eight but has been performing well and has an aggressive driver in Dube. Race 9 - F&M Open Trot (7) WHAT SHOULD I GOO has faded on the lead and made a break in her last two tries, but when she's at the top of her game she's better than the rest of these, and I think she's worth going to in the hopes that she's on her "A game" tonight. (6) HELPOFTHESEASON drops out of stakes company and comes in from Indiana. She's the lone 3-year-old in here but goes out of Engblom's barn for the first time. (4) SMASHIN RACQUETS held sway on the engine to win in this class last Thursday, but I think she faces some tougher foes here. Race 10 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (1) ALADDIN makes his second start with Lasix and for trainer/driver Pat Lachance tonight. He was third after battling from first-over in a NW10000L5 event on 12-5. (4) ARDEN MESSI N invades from the Meadowlands. He hit the board over there two and three starts back and gets post relief off his last try on December 2. (7) IMSTAYNALIVE tired at the Meadowlands last time out but recently came into Ron Burke's stable and was second at Harrah's Philadelphia and the Meadowlands in two appearances last month. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11 - 50000CLM Trot (1) EPOS OSTERVANG DK gets to start from an inside post for the first time in forever tonight. He has tended to finish underneath more than on top this year, but hopefully the good draw makes a difference. (3) STEUBEN HANOVER is riding a two-race win streak for the Gingras/Burke duo and has defeated EPOS OSTERVANG DK in both of those triumphs. (6) BRAVE BY DESIGN rebounded from his break on 11-30 with a third-place result behind STEUBEN HANOVER and EPOS OSTERVANG DK a week ago. Race 12 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (2) MAJOR SHOW never got involved from a bad post on 12-4 but moves inside on the gate here and meets up with a wide-open group. He also gets to partner with Gingras again. (1) B LIKE CRUISER slides in from the five-hole to the pole position and hit the board in this class on 11-14. (3) HE'S ELECTRIC advanced from seventh to third in the final quarter of his race a week ago and is another horse getting post relief this time.
