Race 1 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(1) EDGE OF ETERNITY picked up her last win at this level on 10-13 and has been racing in higher classes since then. Add in that she was Jordan Stratton's choice and landed the rail, and I will use. (3) SPORTS FLIX finished a good second in a NW10000L5 event to close out her 2022 campaign and drops a notch to start her 7-year-old season here. (5) SEZANA N topped NW7500L5 rivals at Yonkers on December 22 and returns after making one appearance at the Meadowlands on the 6th of January.

Race 2 - NW2/26388LT Trot

(1) A ONE A wound up with a difficult trip at the Meadowlands most recently and couldn't get involved. Throw that race out and he looks very competitive in this spot, especially given he hit the board against NW2's at Yonkers three times in December. (4) MAKE IT EASY also comes over from the Meadowlands and recently added trotting hobbles. She was first-placed-second in a NW2 race at Yonkers on December 8 when she made a break in the stretch. (5) BUDWEISER GIRL invades from Harrah's Philadelphia where she faced NW3's most recently. She's lightly-raced and was Dan Dube's choice.

Race 3 - NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/NW9 PM Races LT Trot

(6) PROMISE FOR LIFE had a good enough 3-year-old campaign to start in the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final and makes his pari-mutuel debut for trainer Jared Bako here off an impressive qualifier at Monticello. (7) OUTSIDE THE FIRE won at Yonkers a few times last fall and returns after winning his final try of 2022 at Harrah's Philadelphia. (4) PALERMO HANOVER gets reunited with Stratton tonight and closed well at this level on the 15th of December.

Race 4 - Open Handicap Trot

(6) NOWS THE MOMENT wrapped up 2022 in vicious form, and I will look for him to pick up where he left off. (7) HL REVADON was second to Nows The Moment in the Open on December 22 and makes his first appearance of his 7-year-old season tonight. (3) TIMESTORM seems to like the NW30000L5 level a lot more than the Open, but he drew inside my top two choices here and maybe he can follow along and hit the board.

Race 5 - NW4/53313LT Trot

(6) CIEL BLEU gets a chance to drop out of the NW6 class since he has $53,312 in lifetime earnings, and I imagine trainer/driver Pat Lachance will be keen to take advantage of the opportunity. He owns a victory against NW4's back on November 3. (4) SAID N DONE AS has hit the board in five straight appearances, including three in-a-row at this level. (2) THE AMERICAN EAGLE downed NW4 company on the 1st of December and has the potent duo of Jason Bartlett and Per Engblom on his side.

Race 6 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(8) KARMA SEELSTER has always done well on half-mile ovals throughout her career. I will give her top billing in her Yonkers return from Woodbine Mohawk Park, and she may offer a bit of value from post eight. (6) TECHYS ANGEL A went a long way on the lead before finishing second at this level on December 22 and gives it a second shot tonight. (5) AMERICAN EMPRESS N shows racing in the Open a couple times at Hollywood Dayton and has Bartlett to drive as she comes east for trainer/owner Anette Lorentzon.

Race 7 - NW4/50000LT Trot

(1) COUNT JOGGING picked up a check over at the Meadowlands to kick off his 2023 campaign, and although he hasn't won at the NW4 level here, he did tally over NW3's at Harrah's Philadelphia in mid-November. Austin Siegelman guided him to that victory, and he gets reunited with him tonight. (5) MATT SO SURE was third against NW4's at Yonkers on September 29 of last year and recently scored at the Meadowlands. (2) LADYFLIX has defeated NW2's both here and at Woodbine Mohawk Park and teams up with Bartlett.

Race 8 - NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/NW9 PM Races LT Trot

(2) BIZET was third against what appears to be a tougher group of NW15000L5 rivals on December 15 and lured Bartlett off an Engblom trainee in this event. (5) HAT TRICK MARLEAU couldn't get the job done as the favorite on 12-22 but will probably offer a better price tonight and took his life's mark at Yonkers a year ago. (3) SWEET SOUL DAVID has tallied at Yonkers before and makes his second start of 2023 here after cruising in the Preferred Handicap Trot at Freehold most recently.

Race 9 - F&M NW5000L5 Pace

(2) CORAL BELLA cut the fractions and was second in a NW7500L5 event to wrap up 2022 and drops to the bottom level tonight. (6) ENGLISH ROSE N shows a second-place finish against $50,000 claimers back on October 18 and has a driver switch to Bartlett tonight. (1) CORSINI A starts from the pole but couldn't deliver as the favorite at the Meadowlands or Freehold recently, and I'll only use underneath.
