Race 1 - 15000CLM Pace

(1) BLACK HAWK JOE A broke while he was trying to leave last week from post eight, but he did show some pace in the lane, and I'll give him another shot here as he debuts for new connections and starts from the pole. (3) SETH HANOVER tallied in this class a week ago from post seven and now moves in on the gate to the three-hole for Jason Bartlett and a high-percentage trainer. (5) SHINE A LIGHT drops out of the $20,000 claimers this time and any repeat of his last two miles at that level would make him difficult to beat in this race.

Race 2 - 30000CLM Pace

(2) THEFLYINGROCK had little difficulty winning in this class from an inside post last Thursday, and I anticipate the same result will be forthcoming here as he drew well again in his debut for high-percentage connections. (1) LINDY THE BRAVE drew the pole position and was third in the contest won by my top selection a week ago. (6) SHIPMASTER shows several recent lines against tougher $40,000 claiming foes and gets a new driver this time with Colin Kelly taking over.

Race 3 - 40000CLM Trot

(1) I'M OUT departs from another good post here and owns a victory at this level on 9-17. He also gets reunited with Jordan Stratton as Brent Holland isn't here tonight. (3) P L OSCAR has four on-the-board results in his last five tries and slides in on the gate to the three-hole this time. (7) THE BRODSTER was a handy victor in his debut for this stable a week ago and has only missed the trifecta once in seven appearances since August 20.

Race 4 - NW20000L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5 / NW10 PM Races LT / 60000CLM Trot

(4) OLIVER THE GREAT made an uncharacteristic break before the start last week and lost all chance, but he was favored in that race and is worth going back to here given his most recent victory came at this level on 8-6. (3) MY MAN PETER drops out of the NW30000L5 class in his second start back after some time off and I'll look for improvement this time. (2) BJM'S LIL MAN should get back into contention as he moves in on the gate from the eight-hole to post two and gets a driver switch to Tyler Buter for a hot stable.

Race 5 - F&M Invitational Trot

(3) DIAL SQUARE S put in a good effort in a third-place finish in this class on 10-1 and hails from a top trotting stable. Given she out-drew the other logical-looking ones in here, I'll give her a try. (5) VOGUISH didn't get the trip she needed on October 1 but owns three recent victories at this level. George Brennan gets a chance to team up with her with Holland not here. (8) PAYBACK MONI will have to overcome the outside but prevailed in the F&M Invitational on both the 10th of September and the 1st of October, and I think she'll be put in play.

Race 6 - 40000CLM Trot

(5) STACKING GREEN didn't get to the front on 10-1 and had to settle for fourth, but hopefully she'll be back to the aggressive tactics tonight as she moves in a couple of notches on the gate. (7) SIR MAVERICK just missed on October 1 when the trotting hobbles were added and he's won in this class at Yonkers before. (6) B NICKING enters off a sick scratch but was racing well prior to that. Since he's right back in the box, I expect no lingering issues and will toss him in underneath.

Race 7 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(2) FIGHTING EVIL rallied from last to third from the eight-hole in the final quarter of her mile a week ago and looks like a pretty big standout in here as she moves in on the gate to post two for top connections. (1) DISTANT LOVER starts from the pole position and showed the ability to hit the board in this class on September 10. (5) DOC'S LOVE doesn't have great form but does get Lasix for the second time and has a better post than she had most recently at Harrah's Philadelphia.

Race 8 - NW20000L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5 / NW11 PM Races LT / 60000CLM / Non-Winners in Base Class NW20000L5 Last Start Trot

(2) ROYAL COMET overcame a difficult trip to tally at this level on 9-17 and gets to drop tonight after two tries against NW30000L5 foes, including a runner-up result a week ago. (4) HAPPY JACK B saw his win streak end on October 1, but it was another strong effort, and he races out of a top trotting stable. (8) SIR PINOCCHIO's lone victory in 2026 came in the corresponding class to this one at Pocono on the 17th of August, and I have to think he'll be going forward out of the gate as Bartlett's choice.

Race 9 - NW5000L5 who are NW L3 Starts / 12500CLM / NY-Breds Preferred Pace

(3) ROCKIN JUKEBOX finds the bottom level here and gets post relief to go with it. Given his third-place result against tougher NW7500L5s two back, I'll give him top call. (2) POINTS NORTH finished second in his first try in this class at Yonkers last Wednesday and landed another inside post in this contest. (6) LITTLE LOUIE A got the nod from Bartlett for a high-percentage stable off a good-looking qualifier behind a stakes-winning 3-year-old at Pocono on October 7.
