Race 1 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(1) MAJORETTE ANGIE has the rail tonight after a number of mid-pack draws. She's been closing well but has been too far back to threaten for the win, but I'll hope the pole keeps her a bit closer and she can deliver. (2) MORE THAN MANY had two seconds and a third in this class before stepping up and comes in off a decent fourth-place finish against NW7500L5's. (7) CABOWABOCUTTIE races for the tandem of George Brennan and Ricky Bucci. They had a win on Monday together, and she was a good second on the 22nd of September at this level.

Race 2 - NW4/50000LT Trot

(1) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN stepped all the way up to the NW8 class last Thursday and was a creditable third. He gets some class relief tonight, racing against NW4's, and that should be to his liking. (2) BEERTHIRTY K finished fourth in the New York Sire Stakes final and easily defeated NW2 company when last seen at Yonkers on 8-27. (8) SOLAR has a win and a second in his last pair against NW4's over at Pocono. Erv Miller's barn is hot right now, and I think he has enough tactical speed to get a spot in here.

Race 3 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(3) HEAVENS CHALLENGE grabbed a runner-up finish on the 24th of September when she dropped to this level. She gets to move in a couple slots on the gate and adds George Brennan. (6) FRANSCHOEK steps up from the NW5000L5 class after winning on 9-22. Trainer Scott Blackler sent out a winner on Monday, so that barn seems to be going well right now, and Bartlett stuck with her over others. (2) WOODMERE HARRIET moves over from the NW2 group to give this spot a try. She finished with interest on September 22 and has plenty of racing experience on half-mile ovals from up in the Canadian Maritimes.

Race 4 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(5) SCANDALICIOUS seems to have come back to her good form in her last pair as first she was second and then she won comfortably. She does move up a notch, but this is a pretty wide-open group, and she has the back-class to handle it. (6) BETTERB CHEVRON N finished second as the heavy favorite in a NW10000L5 when last seen at Yonkers but was totally empty in a subsequent attempt at Pocono. I think she can bounce back. (2) KAITLYN N hasn't done much since joining the Blumenfeld barn but does have an inside post and some additional class relief to work with.

Race 5 - F&M NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace

(5) J ROCKIN B wound up with the misfortune of running into a well-meant Ann Hill most recently, and that was after meeting up with a well-meant Norman's Madeline prior to that. As mentioned earlier, Erv Miller is sending out his share of winners lately, and hopefully this week she's one of them. (4) SANDY WIN defeated NW5000L5's two back, then stepped up to the NW7500L5 group and was victorious again. She was not Dube's pick, but ends up with Bartlett instead. (3) MILLIONDOLLARGEM A has post relief tonight after starting from the seven-hole on 9-24 and is reunited with Stratton.

Race 6 - F&M NW18001L5/Winner In Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/1st Time U.S. Starters Pace

(7) PONDER THE ODDS dominated NW10000L5's on the 17th of September, then moved up to the NW15000L5 class and crushed again. She moves out to post seven this time, but I'll hope she can get a seat and remains sharp. (1) I'M VERY SPECIAL has a bit of a gap in her schedule after the sick scratch on 9-17, but she was in the Preferred on September 10 and gets both the pole and Bartlett here. (3) ALII NUI is another Brent Holland/Erv Miller collaboration on tonight's card. She had little chance from post eight last Thursday, but prior to that was a rallying second.

Race 7 - F&M Open Handicap Pace

(5) LADY DELA RENTA A got stuck in the pocket until halfway through the lane two weeks ago, and by the time she got out, it was too late. She out-drew the other logical contenders tonight, and Stratton might look to plant her on the lead. (2) ALEXA'S POWER steps up after beating NW20000L5's on the 17th of September. She was third in the Preferred before that and has an inside post to start from. (8) SNOBBYTOWN has the worst of the draw, but has shown plenty of early foot in prior races.

Race 8 - NW8/100000LT Trot

(6) FULL RIGHTS gained through the lane after tipping out last Thursday, and I will give him another try. Stratton takes over at the controls, and I think he should continue to offer value. (7) MAGICAL JOURNEY put it all together in that same event my top pick comes out of, brushing to the lead and keeping clear after that. He now has a pair of wins at the NW8 level and is probably a threat again. (5) CONQUEST AS ruled the roost in the New York Sire Stakes Exclesior A Series this year. He's the lone 3-year-old in the group and taking on open company, so I'll take a chance and try and beat him.

Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM Pace

(7) LISPATTY ended up in a pace battle last Thursday and tired in the last quarter. She moves down a level from the NW20000L5's, and I'll hope has an easier time of it on the lead. (4) TAKE ABIT OF LIFE led all the way and won easily in a NW10000L5 race a week ago. That was her fourth straight top three finish, and I don't see the class hike hurting her too much. (3) MISS IRISH ROSE A returns to Yonkers after a rallying fourth-place performance in the Open at Saratoga. She was victorious in a NW10000L5 when last at Yonkers on 9-10 and might spice up tris and supers.
