BEST BETS: 36 - 66 / $136.72 (+$4.72)
SPOT PLAYS: 13 - 66 / $140.34 (+$8.34)
BEST BET - LAVRA ROSE N (4th)
SPOT PLAY - BOOM CHICA BOOM (1st)
Race 1 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot
(2) BOOM CHICA BOOM drops a notch off a good second behind a well-meant front-end winner a week ago and has hit the board in four straight outings overall, including a victory at Harrah's Philadelphia on 8-23. (1) VERSE NINE has raced well in both of his local efforts and moves in on the gate to the pole position this afternoon. (6) DOLLAR DRAFT won handily in the event that VERSE NINE exits from last Saturday and his only recent finish outside the trifecta was against the likes of the MGM Yonkers Trot/Earl Beal Jr. Memorial champion Inexpressable at the Meadowlands on Hambletonian Day.

Race 2 - 30000CLM Pace
(4) ALTA CLASSIC A takes a second chance against $30,000 claimers from a slightly better post, and he had some traffic trouble in the lane in his fourth-place effort on August 27. (7) COALFORD HITMAN GB has hit the board in five straight outings here, at Tioga and at Oak Grove and debuts for a high-percentage stable off a claim here. (6) MISSED THE TRUTH A enters with consecutive runner-up finishes against $30,000 claiming foes and kept Colin Kelly over COALFORD HITMAN GB.
Race 3 - NW2/30000LT Trot
(7) B TOTALLY NUDE enters with a win and a second in her last two attempts against NW2s at Yonkers and should offer a better price than (1) MISTY BLUE, who is likely to be 1-9 off back-to-back victories at the Meadowlands and Yonkers. (3) RAUCOUS has consecutive third-place finishes, including in the race my top two selections were first and second in on August 22, and gets a bit of post relief today.
Race 4 - F&M Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Pace
(3) LAVRA ROSE N certainly looked the part in a handy win in her U.S. debut on 8-15, and I'll give her top call here. (2) GOLDEEN N struggles on the turns, but if she's close enough she can still reach since she's very quick in the straights, as evidenced last Saturday when she almost rallied past an odds-on favorite after she lost ground on the final bend. (5) PAPI'S OPINION has hit the board in three straight tries and won in her last appearance against NW3s on August 22.
Race 5 - 15000CLM Pace
(1) FULL SUPPORT doesn't have a great win record this year at just one-for-24, but that victory came the last time he had the pole position at Yonkers on June 22, and he gets reunited with Brent Holland. (3) SHORE NOT BEACH took advantage of the significant post relief he got on August 24 to post a victory and drew well again this afternoon. (2) BLACK EDITION N closed with pace in a second-place finish to SHORE NOT BEACH most recently and also shows a pair of recent on-the-board results against $15,000 claimers at Pocono.
Race 6 - NW7500L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace
(1) BONDI SHAKE N struggles to find the winner's circle, but if he's ever going to get the job done it'll be in a spot like this against others who are win-shy. He also gets post and class relief. (2) BET ON MAC led a long way before he was overtaken late by a 1-5 shot a week ago. He does hike up from the bottom level, but I think he remains usable given the speed he showed in that event and his inside post. (3) NANDOLO N has tailed off from his best days but still showed he was capable of hitting the board against NW7500L5s on August 17.
Race 7 - F&M NW2/30000LT Pace
(4) SANDO is toting around an 0-for-25 win record but raced well in a third-place finish behind two horses who'd be 1-9 in here last week, and hopefully she can kick the door down today. (5) CAVIART MADRID has hit the board in all three of her tries since joining her current stable but is likely to take a lot of wagering attention in here, and given her only victory came against NW1s at Harrah's Philadelphia in May, I don't think she's worth accepting a low price on. (2) MISSNEVERDONOWRONG is a 2-year-old taking on older foes, but she's only missed the board once in four tries and owns a pair of wins, which sticks out a bit in here.

Race 8 - F&M 20000CLM Pace
(1) ALWAYS B LAYLA IR merits another chance this time after she closed well in a third-place result last Saturday and was a runner-up prior to that. (4) IDEALINFUN shows three recent victories against $20,000 claimers and is back in the stable that she's won out of on 8-18 off a re-claim. (3) WHO'S PERFECT owns that handy win at this level on the 15th of August and also posted a pair of thirds in July.
Race 9 - 20000CLM Pace
(1) ALABAMAJAMMA finally has an inside post here after a series of mid-pack or outside draws, and hopefully being closer to the action can get him back to being sharp like he was before his last two outings. (5) ALL MY LOVIN has burned plenty of money in his last two tries but does own that romping win over $20,000 claimers on 8-8 and gets a driver switch to Holland. (3) FOXHUNT went a big trip last Saturday to finish second despite being two-wide the whole mile and has hit the board in five out of his last seven efforts overall.
