Race 1 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(1) PRETTY HANDSOME doesn't have a lot of obvious form but finds the bottom level tonight and moves in from post eight to the pole position. I'll look for him to wake up based on those two factors. (2) THRASHER disappointed as the favorite in a NW7500L5 tilt on 8-21 but gets additional class relief and a better draw here. (6) HE'S GONNA GETYA shows back-to-back 28 and change final quarters and takes a third crack at NW5000L5 company.

Race 2 - F&M NW5941L5/12500CLM Pace

(1) SOMESWEETSOMEWHERE squeezed into this race by a dollar as she has $5,940 earned in her last five starts and drew post one after three straight seven-holes. (2) NOTHING TO SEE HERE ships in from Pocono and had a three-race win streak back in June and July. She makes her second start on Lasix tonight. (3) SPITTING IMAGE is back on a regular racing schedule here after having a gap in her lines prior to her fifth-place result a week ago. She slides down to the bottom level tonight.

Race 3 - 2-4YO F&M NW1/17991LT Pace

(6) BOSTON JIVE moves to an outside post but has hit the board in all of her starts thus far and brought the field into the stretch on the lead a week ago before ending up second to the favorite. (5) PINE BUSH MAGA is zero-for-15 in her career but has hit the board three times against NW1's at Yonkers in her lines and I can overlook that most recent effort as it was against NW2 company. (1) RIVER OF FEAR hasn't made much noise since coming east from Ohio but does have the pole and got into the race by a dollar under the lifetime earnings cap.

Race 4 - F&M NW2/29181LT Pace

(2) TRES CHER DEO owns wins over NW1's and NW2's out of town and I'm going to hope for a more aggressive approach tonight with Dan Dube taking over the assignment in this event. (5) MARATHON MARY gets to drop out of the NW4 class as she fit this race by a dollar under the lifetime earnings cap and did well against NW1's and NW2's at Yonkers back in July. (3) INDIANAS QUEST GB took a couple of starts in the U.S. to get acclimated but has gotten sharp now and moves inside on the gate in this contest.

Race 5 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(4) REIGNING DEO closed out his mile with plenty of pace a week ago from an outside post and gets to slide in on the starting gate tonight. (1) TWO FACED was second against NW7500L5 company in his last start on 8-25 and starts from the pole position this time. (6) COPPER TEEN is moving up from the NW5000L5 level but is doing so off a victory and makes his third start out of Jenn Bongiorno's barn.

Race 6 - NW11501L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(2) YOROKOBI N shows hitting the board against NW20000L5's and winning over NW15000L5's, so this spot should be right up his alley, especially from an inside post. (4) JIMMY CONNOR B drops out of the NW15000L5 class and came up just a neck short of winning the last time he was in a NW10000L5 event on August 5. (7) THINKBIG DREAMBIG picked up some confidence with a victory over NW7500L5's on August 18 and was third at this level prior to that.

Race 7 - F&M NW7751L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(1) VILLAGE JADE gets the class drop/post relief combo in this race and trainer Ron Burke had four wins and a second on Tuesday night's card at Yonkers. (5) BELLADONNA GIRL A was very game on the front-end last week and got the job done against NW5000L5's. She steps up here, but that victory should have boosted her confidence. (6) GAME OF SHADOWS has hit the board in two straight outings, including against NW10000L5's in her last appearance on 8-12. She gets a driver switch to George Napolitano Jr. tonight.

Race 8 - NW7561L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(4) AMERICAN CLASSIC exits a couple of fast races over at Pocono, and I'm going to hope he gets aggressive handling from Dube here in his Yonkers debut. (1) ALWAYS ROCKIN makes his second start back after some time off, drops out of the NW10000L5 class and moves inside on the starting gate from post eight to the pole position. (3) BLUEBIRD RECON finds a softer spot here than the $40,000 claiming level he's been racing at, and I will include him underneath.

Race 9 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(3) HUNTRESSVILLE A has won two of her three starts in the U.S. so far, including over NW2's at Yonkers back in early August. She teams up with Jim Marohn Jr. on this occasion. (1) COALFORDSNSHINE GB is riding a three-race streak of top-two finishes and doesn't face the red-hot Coachellabound N this time. As I mentioned in race seven, trainer Ron Burke had an excellent night at Yonkers on Tuesday. (6) TERACITA invades from the Midwest and is now with trainer Per Engblom. She went 1:53 and change two starts back at Northfield, so I think she'll fit in fine here.

Race 10 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(5) DIAMONDBEACH looks like an "all or nothing" type given his breaking issues. He finds the bottom level tonight and when he did mind his manners on 6-24, he won handily over NW10000L5's. Anything close to that type of effort here would make him dangerous. (3) TWIG has paced solid final quarters in both of his tries since joining Scott Di Domenico's barn and drops and moves inside on the gate here. (1) STATE SENATOR looks like he has found better form in his last two outings and drew the pole position. Brent Holland takes over the driving.
