Yonkers: Analysis for Saturday 8/8/26

Greg Reinhart|Aug 06, 2026
Yonkers Logo 1.5

2026 MEET STATS: 147 - 540 / $993.40 (-$86.60)

BEST BETS: 30 - 57 / $109.22 (-$4.78)

SPOT PLAYS: 12 - 57 / $135.82 (+$21.82)

BEST BET - IDEALINFUN (2nd)

SPOT PLAY - ALL MY LOVIN (1st)

Race 1 - 20000CLM Pace

(1) ALL MY LOVIN wound up getting parked in his last effort on 7-30 but was favored in that race and held on to finish fourth. I'll give him another try as he starts from the pole for a high-percentage stable. (4) OVER THE HORIZON and (7) SHAKE IT look similar on paper as both are in great form and on lengthy streaks of on-the-board results. SHAKE IT debuts for new connections off a claim at a level lower than he was at most recently when he defeated $25,000 claimers.

Race 2 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(4) IDEALINFUN raced pretty well behind a well-meant winner last Thursday and debuts for new connections off a claim. She won two in-a-row at this level back in June. (1) FORTUNADA starts from the pole and has four recent on-the-board results against $20,000 claimers, including last Saturday when she was the runner-up to a heavy favorite. (3) DOC'S LOVE has been off since February but qualified back well at Pocono on July 29 and doesn't meet up with the toughest field this afternoon.

Race 3 - NW2/30000LT / Maidens Draw Inside Trot

(6) KILL THE NOISE AS' trainer will probably be more focused on trying to win the Hambletonian with Big Ranger today, but this gelding has been off-the-board only twice in eight outings in 2026 and was second behind a handy front-end winner last time out. (5) LONG HILL makes his second start on Lasix for a high-percentage stable and moves in a couple of notches on the gate as well. (3) BEGGARS BANQUET shows a couple of seconds and a win in the Kentucky Proud Series in the Bluegrass State. Now he comes east into a high-percentage stable and gets back on Lasix.

Race 4 - 30000CLM Pace

(3) CURLY JAMES A double-hikes from the $20,000 claimers but his form is razor-sharp, he debuts for the leading trainer and kept Colin Kelly. (2) MIND HUNTER and (1) ROLLING WITH SAM have similar profiles as they show hitting the board a couple of times against $30,000 claiming foes recently and are getting significant post relief today.

Race 5 - Winners of 5 but not more than 7 PM Races or 90000LT Trot

(4) D'WOOD owns just one win in 15 outings this year, but it came two back at Yonkers, and he backed that up with a third in this class when last seen on 7-22. (1) MATTHEWS has been first or second in his last five trips behind the gate and moves in from post five to the pole position this week. (2) ONEMORE VOLO just missed most recently at Pocono and shows a second at their NW6 level on the 29th of June.

Race 6 - F&M NW2/30000LT Pace

(3) DORAL DELIGHT got up to tally two back at this class and then overcame the eight-hole to finish fourth last Saturday. She slides in on the gate this afternoon, and this stable has been sending out a lot of live horses lately. (1) DAISY DIANA N qualified well over the oval both times for the leading trainer and won her last race in Australia before export. (8) GOLDEEN N wasn't the smoothest but did come from well off-the-pace to prevail a week ago. Given her racing style, I don't think the outside post matters much, just the trip and pace.

Race 7 - F&M Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Pace

(2) PAPI'S OPINION put in a good effort behind a favorite who got on a loose lead last Saturday and couldn't be caught. She avoids that rival today and starts from another inside post. (5) GABBY'S WISH owns three third-place finishes in four starts in this class at Yonkers since she came in from Pocono. (4) LOCHINVAR MATILDA returns from Monticello off back-to-back romping victories and did post a trio of seconds locally back in May.

Race 8 - NW5321L5 / 12500CLM Pace

(2) SPY CRAFT tired badly last time at Tioga, but this looks like a softer spot than he's been in for his last three starts, and he gets reunited with Kelly. Note he also squeezed into this race by $1 as he has $5,320 earned in his last five starts. (3) INTIMIDATION was third in a race dominated by the favorite at this level a week ago and gets Vinny Ginsburg back in the bike. (4) DONTTELLMENOW was second the last time he met up with NW5000L5s at Yonkers back on June 10.

Race 9 - 15000CLM Pace

(6) LETSMAKELOTSAMONEY won against $15,000 claimers two back and returns to the class after he posted a third against age-restricted $20,000 claiming company on 7-30. (3) WELL THAT'S MARKY was second at this level on July 30 and moves in on the gate from post seven to the three-hole today. (4) THEMASKEDCRUSADR N gets a bit of post relief and also exits open and age-restricted $20,000 claiming events to race for a $15,000 tag here.
