SPOT PLAY - ALL OF A SUDDEN (6th)
Race 1 - 20000CLM Pace
(7) TIN ROOF RAIDER A had zero luck with his trip last week and ended up boxed in with pace. He drew poorly again here but with any smoother trip I think he can get the job done. (5) HOOSIER CELEBRITY has been sharp for a while and has won three in-a-row, including against $20,000 claimers a week ago. He debuts for new connections after being claimed again out of that victory. (1) TECHTOPIA HANOVER takes a second crack at this class with significant post relief and a switch to a catch driver.

Race 2 - 25000CLM Pace
(3) GDS THUNDER GB drops, gets post relief and switches drivers to George Brennan for a high-percentage stable here. (5) SAWYER'S DESIRE debuts for leading trainer Per Engblom off a claim tonight, and that could easily result in an improved effort. (1) KARLOO BRADLEY N didn't really fire last Saturday but was obviously very sharp prior to that and was re-claimed by trainer Mike Forte, who won with him on July 12.
Race 3 - 15000CLM Pace
(7) SOUTH POINT drew poorly tonight but turned in another strong effort last Saturday, and I expect he'll be on or near the lead. (1) MAJOR POCKET A won the last time he raced a this level on June 28 and double-drops out of the $25,000 claiming class tonight. (3) VELOCITY KOMODO shows a couple of on-the-board results in this class back in June and gained ground in a fourth-place effort a week ago. He slides in from the six-hole to the post three as well.
Race 4 - 3-6YO 20000CLM Pace
(4) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER just missed in this class a couple weeks ago at Yonkers and closed with pace in a subsequent effort at the Meadowlands. (6) I'M THE PRINCE drops out of the age-restricted $30,000 claimers tonight and shows a recent win and a second against those tougher rivals. (3) BLUE COLLAR MAN took one unsuccessful shot against 3-6YO $30,000 claiming company on July 21 and now slides back down to the level where he came up just a neck short of victory on July 5.
Race 5 - F&M 25000CLM Pace
(3) NUTTINBUTHEBEST makes her second start back after a layoff tonight and I'm hoping she'll be sharper here with that effort under her belt. (4) COALFORDSNSHINE GB has won three of her last four tries and has just missed the board once in her last seven appearances overall. She debuts for new connections after being claimed again also. (5) FIGHT NOT FLIGHT is also sharp and has been popular at the claim box as well. She won for trainer Cory Stratton on the 26th of June and is back with him here.
Race 6 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT / NW2 or 30000LT Draw Inside Trot
(3) ALL OF A SUDDEN defeated NW2 at Pocono on 7-22 in her second start with trotting hobbles on, and I think she can build on that here against a wide-open group. (8) JEFFERY J drew poorly again but rallied to finish second in this class a week ago and recent added Lasix. (1) MARIN COUNTY has hit the board in four of his last five efforts and drew the pole position again tonight.
Race 7 - 30000CLM Pace
(1) PYRO hasn't been seen in a pari-mutuel race since November 2024 but had a good last quarter in his qualifier and was Brent Holland's choice in this contest. (5) SAILBOAT HANOVER wasn't Holland's pick but racked up another victory last Saturday and was re-claimed by trainer Dennis Laterza, who has had plenty of success with him recently. (4) I DRAINTHESWAMP A tallied at this level two back and was second to a well-meant foe last Thursday.
Race 8 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot
(6) DURANTE HANOVER invades from Pocono in pretty good form from their NW4 class and adds Holland in the bike. (1) JAKEY JUMPUP backed up his 71-1 win on 7-12 with a second in a subsequent effort and moves in from the eight-hole to post one. He was not Holland's choice, though. (3) SHOW ME didn't really have any obvious reason why he tired on the front-end last Saturday and had to settle for third. He did win at this level two back and makes his second start on Lasix.

Race 9 - 3-6YO 20000CLM Pace
(1) HEAVE AWAY appears to be the sharpest horse in here by quite a bit and I expect he'll deliver again at low odds. (3) CAPTAIN T HANOVER shows one third against age-restricted $30,000 claimers on July 10 and gets a driver switch to Holland tonight. (4) THUNDER HUNTER JOE doesn't have any super-obvious form but drops out of the 3-6YO $30,000 claiming class.
Race 10 - 15000CLM Pace
I'll give (2) WAIMAC ATTACK N another shot tonight as he really didn't get a chance to show what he had after taking a bad shuffle from the pocket last Saturday. (5) GARDYS LEGACY A turned in another good effort on July 24 and hasn't been outside of the top two since the qualifier on 6-11. He debuts for new connections after being claimed again. (4) GOTHIC ROCK owns a victory against $15,000 claimers on the 5th of July and was third from the eight-hole a week ago.
