Race 1 - 30000CLM Pace

I'm not in love with anybody in the opener, so I'll try (7) LYONS LIBERTY, who showed the ability to rally from an outside post to finish second a few starts back and gets reunited with Dan Dube. (4) BETTER B SWIFT has hit the board in four straight efforts, including all of his tries out of Jenn Bongiorno's barn. (3) REAL LUCKY N double-jumps out of the $20,000 claimers but has the best form of any of these with two straight victories.

Race 2 - 12500CLM Pace

(5) KEYSTONE DASH won easily when he raced against $12,500 claiming company two back and slides down after a fourth-place finish against $20,000 claimers on July 6. (2) CAROLINA MAGIC returns after a bit of a layoff and qualified well over at Monticello. This owner/trainer combo had a win and a second last Saturday. (1) CARRACCI HANOVER was claimed by Scott Di Domenico for $15,000 on 7-15 but drops below that level tonight. Di Domenico was the trainer when this horse finished third back on June 17.

Race 3 - NW5891L5/12500CLM Trot

(8) CRIME FIGHTER invades from The Meadows and now races for a high-percentage trainer in Jared Bako. I'll take a shot with him against a bottom level field lacking a standout. (4) SWEETLIES N ALIBIS went a long way on the lead last Saturday before getting overtaken by the classy Sumatra in the stretch and picks up Jordan Stratton in the bike. (2) SWISS HOUSE ONFIRE had the one solid performance on June 25 but has been off form outside of that. He does get reunited with Brent Holland, but I'll take a stand against.

Race 4 - 30000CLM Pace

(6) PICARD A gets some class relief tonight as he drops down from the $40,000 claimers and will hopefully be sharpened up after a speed-and-fade effort last Friday. (3) MACHIAVELLI won two straight here on 6-17 and 6-30 and then was third in a quick mile down at Harrah's Philadelphia on July 10. He has an inside post for the first time on his lines tonight. (2) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N also moves inside on the gate and sharp with four straight top-two finishes. He has a new trainer this time after being claimed by Chuck Crissman Jr. a week ago.

Race 5 - NW10001L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(1) MACH N CHEESE picked up a confidence-boosting win against NW7500L5's on July 15 and looks pretty imposing from the pole position tonight. (2) BETTORBUCKLEUP finished second in a NW10000L5 base class race on 7-9 and was Brent Holland's choice tonight. (4) ROCK N TONY was fourth in the race won by Mach N Cheese last time out and had a victory prior to that.

Race 6 - NW7816L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

(3) LADY JETER doesn't have much in the way of obvious form, but she was facing NW20000L5 base class foes when she was last at Yonkers, so she finds a pretty soft spot here if she can pair it with a good effort. (5) KEYSTONE BLADE was second in a NW10000L5 base class event back on June 11, and this should be a good fit for him after trying $75,000 and $50,000 claimers lately. (1) DC ANNA minded her manners for Jim Marohn Jr. in both her local qualifier and her race last Saturday. She's capable if she staying trotting.

Race 7 - NW10120L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(2) LIFETIME ROYALTY slides down one level after finishing a rallying second against NW15000L5 foes on July 8. He was also Dan Dube's choice. (1) CASINO CUTIE IT has the class drop/post relief combination working for her tonight and is reunited with George Napolitano Jr., who steered her to a win on 6-10 at Harrah's Philadelphia. (4) MADHATTER BLUECHIP cruised to a handy victory on the front-end in a NW7500L5 event a week ago, and I think he's capable of handling the hike up here.

Race 8 - NW10001L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(1) SHANWAY N finally got an inside post to start from tonight and has regularly been firing out quick last quarters. He also slides down from the NW15000L5 level, so I will put him on top. (4) VELOCITY KOMODO looks like the other logical one in here as he continues to slide down the class ladder and moves inside on the gate a couple of notches. (2) LONG WEEKEND A was very sharp here at Yonkers back in May and June but then gave the Meadowlands and Pocono a shot and didn't have any success. I'll include in the hopes returning to the half-mile track works for him.

Race 9 - 30000CLM Pace

(1) SOHO WALLSTREET A starts from the pole again and had some pace last Saturday as he closed in 27 and change. (4) SWEET N FAST N makes his third start back after a sick scratch on 6-18, and Di Domenico's horses seem to be racing pretty well across-the-board lately. (5) CAVIART SARGENT finished second after cutting the fractions in a $30,000 claiming race a week ago and is now with Bako after being claimed.
