BEST BETS: 26 - 51 / $127.10 (+$25.10)
SPOT PLAYS: 7 - 51 / $88.40 (-$13.60)
BEST BET -
APPEASEMENT (2nd)
SPOT PLAY - DONT JUDGE A BOOK (8th)

Race 1 - 15000CLM Pace

(8) WAIMAC ATTACK N starts from the outside but avoids the red-hot Italian Delight N tonight and was claimed last Saturday by a barn that's sending out lots of live horses right now. (5) IMABEACHBOY also doesn't have to face Italian Delight N this time after finishing third and then second to him since dropping to the $15,000 claiming level. (2) KEYSTONE DASH gets post relief here after having to start from the seven-hole last Saturday. He had a run of three straight on-the-board finishes in June.

Race 2 - F&M NW1/15045LT Pace

(4) APPEASEMENT was second to a runaway winner a couple weeks ago. Horses generally improve in their second start for trainer Travis Alexander, and she is in that situation tonight. (2) LADY BLUE JAY didn't threaten as the favorite last Saturday but had a nice run of form prior to that, including a victory over NW1's on 6-22. (5) URSULA BLUE CHIP remains winless but often finds her way onto the ticket like she did last week.

Race 3 - 30000CLM Pace

(2) ON THE VIRG gets some significant post relief here in his third appearance in this class and hopefully that will result in a more aggressive approach being taken. He shows a win over $40,000 claimers back in mid-May. (1) KB MAC rebounded from his miscue on 7-6 with a good second-place finish last Saturday. He tallied twice in-a-row over $30,000 claimers in June and kept Brent Holland over two others. (7) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES starts from the outside but races out of a hot barn and closed out his mile in 27 and change last week to gain spots and ground.

Race 4 - 40000CLM Pace

(1) DANCE ON THE BEACH held well to get second after setting a fast and contested pace two weeks ago. Hopefully he doesn't have to face any outside pressure this time as he drew inside again and looks like he should be on the front-end. (2) BECHERS BROOK A steps up from the $30,000 claimers but has won two in-a-row between here and Saratoga and was claimed by the hot Andrew Adamczyk stable. (6) COLOSSAL STRIDE A makes his second start back after a bit of time off and was third after carving out the fractions in his comeback last Saturday.

Race 5 - NW of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot

(7) HANKINS HANOVER didn't draw particularly well but looks like he's been facing much better horses than these since a win in the NW4 class at Pocono on 6-10. I'll swing with him. (2) CUSTOM FIT tallied in this class a couple of weeks ago, drew inside again and was Austin Siegelman's choice. (1) FULL SCALE is just two-for-40 in the win column but did score two back at Tioga and is a first-timer for the Adamczyk barn.

Race 6 - F&M NW of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Pace

(4) CRUISERSFOXYJUDY comes east from Indiana into Scott Di Domenico's barn. She doesn't have a great win record (just two-for-22) but did score in 1:51 4/5 at Harrah's Hoosier Park in late May. I think she's worth a shot. (3) OAKWOOD DYNASTY IR's only two poor results in her lines came from bad posts, and she drew well again here. She was George Brennan's choice for trainer Ron Burke. (1) KISS MY CHEEK invades from Woodbine Mohawk Park and is now in the high-percentage Nik Drennan stable. She hasn't won yet in 2024 but has hit the board in five of her last seven tries.

Race 7 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(6) ROCKIN JUKEBOX finished a rallying second last Saturday in an improved effort. He finds the bottom level tonight, and I think that'll result in a win. (3) EMINEM HANOVER won the last time he was in the NW5000L5 class back in mid-May and kept Holland over three other horses. (5) CAPTAIN BATBOY still hasn't found the winner's circle in 2024 but has hit the board in three of his four tries against NW5000L5 company at Yonkers.

Race 8 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(6) DONT JUDGE A BOOK moves in a couple of notches after starting from the eight-hole on 7-1 and also meets up with a softer group of NW7500L5 foes. Perhaps that'll result in a more aggressive approach like this horse took in a couple of good performances at Tioga in June. (4) INDICTABLE HANOVER drops out of the NW10000L5 level and also gets some post relief for the Adamczyk stable. He was Siegelman's choice of a pair. (3) MY ULTIMATE STAR A was second in a NW7500L5 race back in early June and gets reunited with Holland tonight. He also has a good draw after a series of outside posts.

Race 9 - 20000CLM Pace

(1) ALOTBETTOR N tallied two back in this class and then was a solid third last week. He moves in on the gate to the pole position this time. (4) YS DO IT RIGHT is just one-for-21 in the win column this year but was a game second a week ago when he dropped to this level. (3) QUATRAIN BLUE CHIP also struggles to find the winner's circle but hit the board when he slid down to face $20,000 claimers a couple of weeks ago.

Race 10 - NW5194L5/12500CLM Pace

(6) CYRUS N takes a second shot at this class and doesn't have to deal with starting from the eight-hole like he did last Saturday. All of his final quarters lately have been solid, so I think he has some sneaky form but has just been facing stronger horses or has had bad posts. (1) BROOKDALE MIKI finished second against bottom level rivals on July 1 and moves in from post seven to the pole position.(5) VELOCITY KOMODO makes his third start back after some time off and was a solid fourth in a race won by a 1-9 shot last week.

Race 11 - 15000CLM Pace

(4) ITALIAN DELIGHT N is now up to four straight wins and looks like he should be super tough again tonight. I'll take the short price and move on. (6) COIN FLIP comes over from the Meadowlands and is a first-time starter out of a high-percentage barn. I'll include. (2) ROCK THE WAY moves in from the eight-hole to post two, and that should put him back into the hunt. He defeated $15,000 claimers twice in June.

Race 12 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(1) EUPHORIA N had plenty of pace in the pocket last Saturday but was totally boxed in. He starts from the pole here and hopefully will have a clean trip as he's more than capable of winning. (3) DEETZY was first-up on a 1-9 shot in a NW10000L5 event a week ago but held on to get third. He drops tonight and was Holland's choice. (6) J M MANDAMIN comes in from Tioga off a confidence-building win last Sunday and gives trainer Joe Bongiorno another contender on the program.
