This colt is two-for-two thus far and overcame post eight at Pocono last time out. (2) CAPTAIN MIKEY is the other horse in here with winning experience, and although he had to settle for second, he was sent off at odds of 1-2 in a division of the PA Stallion Series at The Meadows on 7-2. (1) MUSIC HALL starts from the pole position and was second in a split of the PA Stallion Series in his last outing. He also has a start on a half-mile track down at Harrington. Race 3 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot (7) HOBBS has gone very dry in the win column over the last two years but races for new connections tonight with Cory Stratton training and Jordan Stratton driving. This is a pretty formless group and I'll take a shot with him. (5) KEEPER OF SECRETS makes his second appearance out of the Jenn Bongiorno barn tonight and switches drivers to Jason Bartlett. (6) SWEETLIES N ALIBIS takes another drop in class tonight and adds Matt Kakaley in the bike. Obviously she'll have to avoid a miscue like she made before the start a week ago. Race 4 - 50000CLM Pace (4) MIGHTY SANTANA N responded with an improved performance when he moved into this class last Saturday and will get the nod from me here. (2) BENJI'S BEST has ripped off two straight easy wins since coming in from The Meadows and moves up another level from the $40,000 claimers. (7) B LIKE CRUISER loses Bartlett tonight as he is over at the Meadowlands after the third, but he closed well to finish second to Benji's Best last time out and makes his second start back in the Gareth Dowse barn. Race 5 - 30000CLM Pace (4) CINNABAR DRAGON drops out of the $40,000 claimers and gets some post relief to go with it, which should enable him to put in a better effort tonight. (1) FOX VALLEY INFERNO owns three wins and a second in his last five outings and gets Matt Kakaley back in the bike for the first time since June 11. (3) LL MYSTRO is now with Scott Di Domenico after being claimed last Saturday and beat $30,000 claiming company back on 6-11. Race 6 - NW10000L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5 Pace (6) ALTA ENGEN A slides down from the NW15000L5's here. He was second to a classy foe in Hellabalou on July 4 and doesn't face anybody nearly that formidable tonight. (4) ALEX TYE continues to work his way down the ladder in this spot and has an improved post, too, as he started from the eight-hole in the same race my top pick comes out of on 7-4. (2) CANTSTOPLYING is another one dropping out of that NW15000L5 contest won by Hellabalou on Independence Day, and he also moves inside on the gate. Race 7 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot (7) SEVENTIER gets a chance to drop out of the $75,000 claimers tonight and packs enough early speed to overcome this outside draw. (3) MADHATTER BLUECHIP also has class relief here as he exits a NW10000L5 race, and I could see him putting in a better effort. (4) WILLY WALTON ships down from Canada and into the Di Domenico barn. It appears that his best races have come on half-mile ovals north of the border, so I'll include. He drops a notch tonight, moves inside on the gate, and races for a barn in Dan Morrissey's that can have one ready to fire. (2) EDDARD HANOVER has hit the board in five of his last six starts and drew inside again to help his cause. (3) CAVIART SARGENT is probably an "all or nothing" type as he double-drops out of the $50,000 claimers following a fourth-place finish a week ago. Race 9 - NW10000L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot (5) VINNY DE VIE found a winnable race here as he drops out of the NW15000L5's and picks up Jordan Stratton's services. (1) BARRY BLACK rallied from off-the-pace and came up just a neck short of the winner a week ago at this level. He has post relief tonight, moving to the pole position from the seven-hole. (2) DC ANNA isn't the most reliable trotter but is capable when she minds her manners and closed in 27 and change in her local qualifier on July 8.
