Greg Reinhart|Jun 16, 2022
Yonkers Logo 1.5

MEET STATS: 111 - 440 / $677.30 (-$202.70)
BEST BETS: 28 - 44 / $94.70 (+$6.70)
SPOT PLAYS: 4 - 43 / $38.80 (-$47.20)
BEST BET -
LIMERENCE (9th)
SPOT PLAY - FABRIZIO N (4th)

Race 1 - 30000CLM Pace

(6) SOHO WALLSTREET A was claimed by Edwin Quevedo a couple weeks ago. He's having a strong season here and has been winning plenty of races over at the Meadowlands lately, so I'll give him a shot. (7) SOUTHPORT BEACH gave $40,000 claimers a try on 6-3 and now retreats a level for the Jason Bartlett/Gareth Dowse duo. (8) FOX VALLEY INFERNO is riding a three-race win streak, and Matt Kakaley and Travis Alexander usually don't mind sending horses, even when drawn outside.

Race 2 - 40000CLM Pace

(6) I GET THAT tallied over $40,000 claimers on June 10, and with the way Austin Siegelman and Nick Devita are going right now, I will put him on top again. (2) DARK ENERGY N has hit the board in five straight races, including a pair of wins, and got the nod from Jordan Stratton over a couple of others. (3) WON LAST FEELING made some late gains in his last outing and races for a trainer who can have one ready to fire.

Race 3 - 50000CLM Pace

(2) OZONE BLUE CHIP scored over $50,000 claiming foes on May 16 and is now with Alexander after being claimed on the 6th of June. (4) KINNDER JACKSON is in the midst of a strong 2022 campaign as he's won seven of his 13 starts and has a barn change to Jared Bako. (3) BETTOR BE OSCAR A comes in with a second and a win in his last pair and goes for the Bartlett/Dowse tandem.

Race 4 - NW10000L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(8) FABRIZIO N tossed in a real clunker at the Meadowlands last time out, but he was very sharp in his two efforts before that and meets up with a soft group for this level here. (3) MANKAT owns a win and a second at Harrah's Philadelphia since joining Per Engblom's barn and now gets Bartlett to drive. (5) NOWHERE CREEK A picked up his game at Tioga and Saratoga with two victories and a third and now returns to Yonkers for Marcus and Erv Miller.

Race 5 - 30000CLM Pace

(7) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N crunched a group of $20,000 claimers on June 10, and trainer-owner Hunter Oakes is showing some faith in him by stepping him up two levels. He was Matt Kakaley's choice and will be mine as well. (3) EDDARD HANOVER has been knocking on the door with two seconds and a third in his last three outings, and I'll include. (2) MAGRITTE found the $40,000 claimers too difficult but slides down a notch tonight for Bartlett & Dowse.

Race 6 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

(1) EPOS OSTERVANG DK cruised to a facile win over NW5000L5's last Saturday when he added Bartlett to the bike. He has him to drive again tonight and landed the pole to boot. (3) PUBLICITY SEEKER has been racing in higher classes down at Harrah's Philadelphia since returning off the bench and should be able to contend in this spot. (5) ILLINI EARL invades from the Midwest and is now with Izzy Estrada. First-time starters out of the Estrada barn are usually live in New Jersey, but that angle doesn't seem to translate to Yonkers very often.

Race 7 - NW10000L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW7500L5 Pace

(2) CAPTIVATE HANOVER closed well and made up ground in the final quarter of his last appearance on June 4 and switches to an inside post tonight. (4) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER drops out of the Pop-Up Series for NW15000L5's and has won at Yonkers before using his strong early speed. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw that tonight. (6) SAULSBOOK HERO is razor-sharp with two straight victories and four consecutive 27 and change last quarters. He's probably the one to beat again.

Race 8 - 40000CLM Pace

(4) BLACK CHEVRON N got the job done against $40,000 claimers back in April and has been offering a square price in his last few tries. I will swing with him. (3) OUR CORELLI N kicked home in 27 and change last Friday, perhaps signaling he's rounding back into form again. He gets Kakaley to do the driving for the third straight time. (1) THE DOWNTOWN BUS looked like a winner in the stretch last Saturday but had to settle for second when Macintosh N out-kicked him. He has a driver switch to Stratton.

Race 9 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot

(4) LIMERENCE takes a second crack against NW5000L5's tonight and has a driver switch to Stratton. (3) CAVALIER GEORGE finished second in this class on 4-20 and was also the runner-up when he competed in the corresponding level at Harrah's Philadelphia two back. (1) TAD KRAZY HANOVER came in third in one appearance against NW5000L5 base class foes on May 14 and has been racing tougher at Harrah's Philadelphia lately.
