Best Bet: RAUKAPUKA RULER N (7th)
Spot Play: SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP (8th)
Race 1: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) THE WALL is stuck outside for his fourth consecutive local start but he's clearly feeling good again after a bit of a dry spell and he should offer some value in this wide-open race. (4) GRATIAN HANOVER has clearly ben underachieving of late but the Jenn Bongiorno trainee is capable of much better and he does have good tactical speed which can set him up nicely here. (5) WINDSUN RICKY is up in class again after two nice local efforts and the Stafford trainee can land a good piece.

Race 2: $20,000/$25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) OCTANE BLUE CHIP is currently in raging form and while he changes hands off the claim he's in a perfect spot to make it four straight local wins. (1) FOO FIGHTER N has breezed in three straight up at Monticello and Team Tritton drops him in for a $20K tag in his local return; Cory Stratton seems to handle him well. (5) JUST N ACE ships in from Pennsylvania where he's been going reasonably well and Bartlett picks up the drive; consider.

Race 3: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) GREAT VINTAGE flattened out pretty badly chasing Springsteen through a fast back half in his last start; will be interesting to see if he or (1) BLACK CHEVRON N controls the action here but either way this 12-year-old millionaire has a great shot. The latter has been unable to seal the deal since returning from Ohio; Bartlett picks up the catch drive tonight for Shane Tritton. (5) AMERICAN ZEST A returns locally for Stalbaum and the imports may be best of the rest.
Race 4: Open Pace
(2) THE REAL ONE was away last as expected last start and had no realistic chance of reaching but the Lachance trainee still finished well as usual. Obviously the improved post gives him a huge chance tonight. (3) MICKY GEE N was outfinished as the chalk coming out of that same race; interesting to see what the tactics will be here. (5) OSTRO HANOVER bumps back up to the Open level and he could be the main speed here.
Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) BETTOR THAN SPRING is long-overdue for a local win and may offer the best price of the three inside contenders; Stalbaum catch-drives. (1) IMAROCNROLLEGEND N is clearly back in fighting form and is a must-use from this spot. (2) IDEAL JIMMY disappointed last week but he's more than capable of rebounding.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BRONX SEELSTER was in against some tough ones last week at The Big M but did close with belated pace after the fact; Dube gets the drive tonight with Stratton across the river and he should be aggressively handled. (1) GLACIS closed a ton last out and now moves all the way inside; the way the Lachance barn has been going this guy has to be used. (5) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER may be better than these on his best day but drawing outside the top one may hurt his chances.

Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) RAUKAPUKA RULER N signaled a return to top form two back from the eight hole then totally blitzed lesser last week in 1:51 4/5. He can handle the bump in class. (7) MISTER SPOT A returns locally for the junior Tritton and he was a winner here three back. Tough post but there should be value to be had. (2) HIGHLAND TARTAN lands the rail with the early scratch and should be in line for a good stalking trip.
Race 8: NW15400 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP takes a needed drop in class after chasing a good one from the pocket; like his classy barnmate Great Vintage earlier on the card, this guy still has what it takes to compete with 'Saturday night' stock. (1) MACH N CHEESE seems to have found a home at Yonkers and he can land a big share with smooth sailing. (5) TYMAL PEACEMAKER figures to be coming late for Lachance.
Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) WESTERN FAME failed to polish it off in his local return and had to settle for second best as the odds-on favorite. He makes his second start now for the Shane Tritton barn and could be tighter. (4) DA DELIGHTFUL went 7 for 13 here last year as a three-year-old and he's been pretty live out of town. (8) MAC’S JACKPOT is a legit Open talent but unfortunately he has to overcome post eight.
