Race 1: $25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) PLAY THE FIELD bumps up a notch in class off the Adamczyk reclaim coming off a game front-end win and his sharp early speed can give him a tactical edge on his rivals. (2) MY MIND IS MADEUP also goes for a different barn tonight (DiDomenico) and he gets major post relief after a series of poor draws. (4) BRACKLEY BEACH stays at the same level off his recent claim and he's been racing pretty well for an extended period of time despite not having a victory to show for it.

Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(3) RECORD YEAR had little to offer in his last couple facing better but he drops back to the $30K claiming level, draws well enough and seems capable in this wide-open event. (2) MARTY MONKHOUSER A has looked sharp taking his last two on the front end and this 12-year-old keeps chugging along; we'll see if he can handle a bit better off the Izzy Estrada claim. (6) ALOTBETTOR N picked off a bunch rallying from last in his latest effort; he should be a price here and seems as good as anyone to hit the bottom of the ticket.

Race 3: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) KINNDER JACKSON was going nowhere last week coming from the back at the $75K claiming level and it was also likely a needed start after a sick scratch; this is a much more comfortable spot tonight. (4) OUR MAJORDAN A has been a major disappointment this year but the veteran has been looking a bit better of late and he seems like a must-use here. (5) ANTHEM N always performs best at this reduced level.
Race 4: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(2) AMERICAN BOY N has been rejuvenated recently, so much so that the Devita barn dipped in for $40K to take the veteran. He should be a major player from on or just off the lead. (5) LATE MAIL N goes to Jenn Bongiorno off the $30K claim; he must be considered despite the rise in class. (3) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN is back in for a tag after taking two straight off of pocket trips.
Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) DESIRE'S CAPTAIN is an example of another incredible Jenn Bongiorno barn success story. He bumps to $50's looking for his sixth straight. (2) UPTOWN FUNK has had a great season for the low-profile Dicostanzo barn and he's a proven winner with this type. (3) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE is entered for this tag by Burke after last week's strong rally to upset at 24/1. We’ll see if he can go with this type.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) BETTERTHANTHEBEACH destroyed these last week and gets a free ride as he fits the NW9 races lifetime condition; short price looming when he repeats. (1) SOHO LENNON A was overwhelmed by the top one in last week's race and tired to third. From the rail this classy import is the most likely candidate to complete the exacta. (5) BETTOR MEMORIES is loaded with back class and can find his way into the number.
Race 7: Open Handicap Pace
(2) PYRO is unproven at this top level but that was a nice effort last week where he circled rivals on the final turn and was pacing hard to the wire. With some trip luck he could post the upset. (4) BRONX SEELSTER has been solid in three starts since joining the Burke barn and he wins the '4 through 7' draw. (5) PEACE OUT POSSE makes his way to the top level for the Bongiorno barn and he could be a closing threat here, assuming he's ready to go after missing almost a month. I'll mention (7) AMERICAN COURAGE, the talented but a bit inconsistent 3-year-old…he lands the far outside post here meeting way more seasoned foes; will he be at 100% here?
Race 8: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(6) ROBBIE BURNS N was unable to make the front last week and it ultimately cost him in the end. Siegelman gets the drive tonight and he should offer good value if you think he can rebound. (1) FOREVER FAV was nailed on the wire last week by the trip sitter after rating the pace; he's up in price now but draws best and he’ll be a big factor throughout. (2) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY was an excellent second last start and he's been a solid money-earner all season.
Race 9: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) ROCKAPELO has really underachieved in his last few starts at the Open level; Burke trainee gets some class relief and I'll be expecting an aggressive effort. (2) MAC'S JACKPOT is another who has seemed to underachieve a bit this season, then you look at his record and he's banked $90K in 22 starts. He gets post relief tonight and should be able to add to that bankroll. (3) SHNEONUCRZYDIAMND A has just been okay recently but one of his better efforts could take this at a good price.
Race 10: Preferred Handicap Pace
(4) BELMONT MAJOR N hit town last week and paced a powerful back half to draw away from the odds-on favorite. He steps up to the Preferred ranks but is certainly sharp enough to get it done again. (1) JUST PLAIN LOCO paced a big final quarter to be third best last start; former $15K claimer has a chance here with a smooth trip. (5) MAJOR BETTS raced well last week but Micky Gee N had the jump on him.

Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SHADOW CAT has maintained his form for an extended period of time and his tactical speed can set him up with a live trip. (8) RAUKAPUKA RULER N finds a much softer field tonight; if Stratton doesn't fire from the gate I'm going to scream so loud the cops are going to come. (2) ALWAYS AND AGAIN is an interesting four-year-old shipping in and should be ready to go off two qualifiers, the last one timed in 1:52 3/5 at Philly.
Race 12: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) ROLLWITHPAPAJOE draws best looking for two straight; Bongiorno trainee won't offer much value but should be controlling the action in the finale. (4) DANCIN DRAGON gets tested a bit for class here but he does have good early speed and that was a nice win last out. (7) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER is back at a winning level but lands outside; he also has solid early speed if Lachance elects to use it.
