:quality(75))
2026 MEET STATS: 240 - 753 / $1,317.84 (-$188.16)
BEST BETS: 46 - 80 / $158.60 (-$1.40)
BEST BET: BACKSTREET SHADOW (6th)
SPOT PLAY: KEAYANG KAMIKAZE A (3rd)
Race 1: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) TOPVILLE SOMEBEACH has been a "rent a horse" for a while now and has performed for most of the barns he's passed through. Tonight he's with the Dilloian Jr barn and picks up Bartlett from the rail. Probably wins again, probably gets claimed again. (2) SAILBOAT HANOVER got a late start to his season but he's on fire now; steps up again looking for four straight. (3) C-BET HANOVER moves in to a better post and he just missed from a similar spot three back.

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) CURLY JAMES A stepped up to $40K claimers last week and was a close second, seeing his five-race winning streak come to an end. Veteran has a major tactical edge with his speed from the rail over the other live ones in here. (5) LYRICAL GENIUS A recently added Lasix and has looked very sharp in his last two. He flow home in those efforts but has also been known to leave the gate on occasion. (4) SIMPLY FAST never finishes far off.
Race 3: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) KEAYANG KAMIKAZE A returned to claimers last start and was a well-rated winner. Pete Tritton import stays at the same level and may have to work harder tonight but he's more than capable of repeating. (6) EVER HOPING A wired the field last week in a sizzling 1:51 3/5 with Marohn driving but now that Bartlett is healed up he's back aboard, and he won with this guy the last two times he drove. (2) BETTOR BY SEASIDE has raced pretty well in this $50K claiming class after being taken by these connections last month for $40K.
Race 4: Invitational Pace
(5) MAC'S DELIGHT has been a killer since the owner and barn change as he's taken five of six while working his way to the top level; Bongiorno catch drives from a reasonable post. (3) CAPTINHAMMERHEAD A gets a good post in his local return and switches to Bartlett. (7) SWEET BEACH LIFE may be the sharpest horse in the world but that means outside assignment again and there's some real talent in here, including a horse directly to his inside that CAN leave the gate if the driver wants.
Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) MUFFERAW JOE was much better last week when he dropped from $40K claimers to this class, and he's got a post edge on most of his rivals tonight. (4) SHIPMASTER also drops from the $40's off an aggressive try and his form has been fine recently but it's a long time between wins. (8) LITTLE LOUIE A failed at odds-on in his North American debut and now he's in post eight. Trainer Joe B. is in the bike and he faces an uncertain trip from out there.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) BACKSTREET SHADOW gave up too much early ground last start and finished with plenty of pace but they went too slow up front. Drops again and from the rail that shouldn't be an issue. (3) DELE ROW A should be available for more aggressive handling tonight and these two may go one-two around. (7) EFFINGHAM ships in from The Meadowlands where he's been a closing threat in his last few starts and may have to employ the same strategy from this post, which generally doesn't work as well on the half.
Race 7: NW22601 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) RESILIENT N missed a nose in his second start after arriving from Down Under, then added Lasix but hasn't been a factor in his last three. Maybe the move to the rail plays a role in waking this import up. (4) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH took play last start as expected and left the gate as expected. Veteran went over a million lifetime and looks to add to it starting from a similar spot. (6) FINVARRA A is back to Bartlett and will likely be an early speed player.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) HEMSWORTH N finally picked up a win last week when he got post relief and a new driver. This veteran has loads of class and maybe that win is all that it takes to see him go on a little run. (4) BETTER B BOLD leaves the gate when it's feasible that he can make the front and he may have a path to the lead here. Alexander trainee was second best from a similar spot last time at this level. (1) THE IDEAL DANCER A has been a little outclassed recently and draws best on the drop.

Race 9: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) KWICK SAND A has seven wins and 21 on the board finishes in 26 starts this year and is ultra-consistent, but hasn't found the winner's circle in a couple of months. Stratton trainee should be able to work out a trip close to the front and be freshest late. (1) BOURBON COUNTY was a winner last time with Bartlett and has hit the board in the Open/Invite in his last two races. (6) VERDUN drops back from the top level but he draws on the outer half of the gate and I'm concerned he may not be able to reach.
Race 10: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(4) BLOCKBUSTER TRADE was a non-factor in his last two from difficult spots but three back from this post in this class he was odds-on and a winner. (8) SHINE A LIGHT has been incredible this year as he's 16 for 24 and I think he's won for almost as many barns. Tough post but he's got the speed to fire out. (1) SHORE NOT BEACH gets massive post relief in his fourth start for the DiDomenico barn after arriving from Delaware but it's tough to look past that "Last 6 starts-$0" stat.
