MEET STATS: 251 - 759 / $1,281.20 (-$236.80) BEST BETS: 37 - 70 / $150.20 (+$10.20) Best Bet: MUSCLE JACK (6th) Spot Play: ALEX TYE (3rd) Race 1: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) BETTERROCK never got involved in his last start but he moves in a couple of posts tonight and should be able to leave the gate, like he did three back in a solid wire-to-wire score. (1) WESTERN JOE may not be the invitational-type horse he once was but he's still a rock-solid veteran pacer and he returns locally off a 1:50 score at Philly. (5) PRETTY HANDSOME tired after cutting the pace last start but prior efforts from off the pace were good. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $75,000 Claiming Trot (3) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN returned to the winner's circle last week after sitting a nice pocket trip and the classy veteran is an obvious candidate to repeat as one of the favorites. (4) IN MY DREAMS could not stall the winner in his first try for Dowse off the $50K claim; can he turn the tables tonight? (5) SKY CASTLES looked good in his first two starts for DiDomenico after arriving from Ohio then got stuck in deep facing Open types; he drops in for a tag tonight. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ALEX TYE has been saddled with tough posts in his last two but now he moves to a much more reasonable starting spot where we can see some of that early speed. (1) GLACIS is tough to endorse on top with his poor win record over the past two seasons but he's hit the board in his last three and he should be sitting a nice stalking trip here. (5) BRONX SEELSTER dropped and popped last week; Burke trainee faces an uncertain trip here, especially if the top choice leaves inside of him. Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Pace (2) FOR A DREAMER raced decently for board spots in two starts off the Travis Alexander claim and he finds himself back in for a tag from a good post in a camera-shy field. Only downside is that he doesn't figure to offer much value. (4) BLUEBIRD JESSIE gets good post relief and a return to Bartlett for his entry into claimers. Gelding can make his presence felt here. (6) SEVENTIER hasn't done a whole lot recently but he hails from a good trotting barn in Smedshammer and he has shown speed on occasion. Race 5: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace - $10K Gtd. Pick-5 Pool (4) IGNATUS A was a solid second last week to a good winner after sitting the garden trip. Lachance gets the catch drive again on the Noel Daley trainee and he figures to be forwardly placed. (3) SPLASH BROTHER was uncovered last out into a well-rated pace and gave way come crunch time. Schnittker trainee had previously been showing solid late action and he can also leave the gate. (6) I'LL DRINK TO THAT didn't go the trip I was expecting in his last start but he still got the job done. He has a legit chance to repeat. Race 6: $50,000 Claiming Trot (5) MUSCLE JACK has jogged in four straight since being claimed by the Alexander barn and like his last start I'm surprised to see him in for this tag. 4-year-old will be odds-on to win another. (1) PLUMB gave it one shot up in class off the Devita claim but went nowhere from the seven hole. She's back in at the $50K level and moves all the way back inside. (8) LINDSEY'S PRIDE obviously needs an alert getaway for his best chance but he also closed crisply from the back three starts ago. Race 7: $100,000 Claiming Pace (3) BARBADOS has been so sharp he deserves to have this $100K tag on his head. Versatile gelding can take another. (2) JOESSTAR OF MIA A put in a good effort last out coming off a brief layoff but could not reach the winner (who was recently stakes-placed). He's proven at this level. (4) AIR FORCE HANOVER deserves some respect coming from these live connections (Gillis/Stratton). Race 8: Open Pace (2) AMERICAN COURAGE basically toured the track last week when he got away last in a race with no flow. In this open draw he moves inside to a much better spot, and he's reunited with Kakaley. (4) FUNATTHEBEACH N also was going nowhere in a hurry last week. Obviously he can reach from this post. (1) BEE TWO BEE may be taking this field on a down-the-road mission, but can he last the duration? I don't think so. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 9: $50,000 Claiming Pace (2) EL JACKO N goes first-time Dowse after being claimed for $50K in his last start. Seems like pretty routine selecting, especially from this inside post. (4) AMERICAN BOY N has come up a bit dull in his last couple but he takes an important drop in class and is capable of awakening. I don't think (7) MARINER SEELSTER can win this but he can get away from the gate in a hurry and he'll be a good price. Race 10: $75,000 Claiming Pace (1) DON DOMINGO N has been a steady check-earner since being claimed by DiDomenico and he could be sitting the pocket to the speedy (4) KEYSTONE PHOENIX with the best chance to pick him off late. The latter will be favored to take this field coast-to-coast, though he has come up a touch short in his last three. (3) CHANGE STRIDE N rallied well for second last week at a big number, could land a piece again. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on Twitter! @drfharnessmatt]
